3 chapter 3: what friends are for

The school bell rang few hours after whitney left the principal's office. Every one is rushing out of school including Whitney, she meets Lola outside the school waiting for her so they can walk together. "what did you get this time around" Lola said to Whitney . "suspension " Whitney replied, Lola takes a deep breath and looks around her surrounding before talking to Whitney again "how long" she said and Whitney replied saying " a week" Lola replied looking at a teacher's car and said " that will give us enough time to bond" "what do you mean" Whitney said to Lola, suddenly Lola picks up a stone from the ground and throws it at a teacher's car. wait for me I'll be back in few mins.whitney keeps silent and just stares as Lola as she walks back into the school and then the car with a broken window simultaneously. after few minutes Lola comes out of the school with a smile on her face she approaches Whitney and said "I got suspended for five days" with excitement all over her, "what ! then I got a week for not answering a question, that's just in fair". that's the perks of being white. Whitney's mood immediately changes on hearing this statement from Lola and it is shown all over her face. Lola notices this change and quickly apologized "I'm sorry" she said 'i didn't mean to upset you", " it's ok, I know you didn't mean it" Whitney replied , "I'm really sorry ' Lola said again. "So what's the plan" Whitney said, Pam "Pam Pam Pam Pam Pam pam Pam Pam" Lola begins to sing" your birthday" you're turning eighteen soon" in a teary motherly tone "my baby is all grown up" Lola then pulls Whitney in for a hug and squeezes her tightly. after a moment she let go of her and said "so now you are all grown up we are going to celebrate, we are going to a kareoki bar. what other way to celebrate your eighteen years birthday than with singing and drunk people and I know the perfect place". "At least it's not a strip club" Whitney replied. "Don't worry that's for when you turn 20" Lola replied. "I'm not going" Whitney said , why? Lola answered "why! one I don't like birthdays, two I don't like singing in front of people" Whitney said with her arms folded across her chest." but but" Lola stutters "no buts" Whitney cuts in." you have an amazing voice you can even become a K-pop idol" Lola said, "why don't I became the president because I got an A on my Government exams" with sarcasim in her voice ." come on it would be fun' Lola said pouting . " cover your eyes and stop making that wired face you look ulgy" Whitney said, "come on now" ! Lola shakes her vividly."ok fine, but no singing" Whitney said, "I can't promise anything " Lola said teasingly. "Let's go " Whitney said and takes the lead."wait for me" then Lola runs after her, she grabs her hand and they both walk home together.
