Surprise

This was the happiest Allen had felt since Hannah left. She went on a business trip and was out of the country for 5 years, he knew that she was just a phone call away but he was afraid to call her. She used to call him from time to time but she was the only one who talked but she knew that something was wrong with him so she tried to cheer him up. He slept peacefully that night.

Next morning, he woke up at seven got ready for his first meeting. He was more excited about meeting Hannah than the meeting he had earlier. His meeting was over within half an hour so he was excited to meet her and quickly went to the place they had decided to meet; it was a coffee shop near Hannah's workplace. He reached the place half an hour early so naturally he waited for Hannah; in the meantime he ordered a cup of Cappuccino and sipped it slowly to pass his time thinking about the time he had spent with Hannah.

They were best friends from when they were children. Hannah was always positive since then. She was cold towards mean people and knew how to set them right but otherwise very friendly in nature. She had always treated Allen well, helped him in every situation and no one knew him better than her. She had only cried once in front of him when her parents died in a car accident. He considered her as his guardian angel. He thought of the day he was in the hospital crying due to stomach infection and Hannah distracted him making him laugh until his stomach ached again.

"Hello" Hannah was there exactly at ten, she waved him out of his dreams "What was Mr. Blackwood daydreaming about?"

"I was waiting for you, the meeting finished before time so I reached earlier. What is the surprise I am so excited about it, I could not sleep at night thinking about it."

"You will have to wait a little longer, follow me to the car."

"Yes ma'am, after you."

She moved towards her car and opened the door of passenger seat for Allen who followed behind her and sat in the car smiling. Shutting the door she sat in the driver's seat and drove towards her destination. Within 15 minutes they were in front of a large shop which was empty and needed a little renovation.

"Surprise, this will be your cake shop and I have already started the process of finding your mother. Your father will have to pay the price of his wrong doings meanwhile we can work together in setting up your business here."

He smiled and hugging her he said "You may not know but you are the best person, what would I do without you?"

"Enough, now go and have a look inside, I will be there in a few minutes I have to make a call."

Allen went inside to have a look at the place; it was huge, perfect place for his shop. He was impressed by Hannah's choice. Hannah joined him after some time. "How is it?"

"Perfect, I love it. How are you going to find my mother?"

"I have many source, you just enjoy the surprises I have in store for you."

"Thank you so much for everything you have done for me. I can never repay you."

"You can repay it and you have to."

"I do not have anything to repay you."

"Keep smiling and never be sad."

They both smiled and Hannah showed him the outlook of the shop she had designed with a few changes they hired the workers and began with the work on the same day.
