Indefinite Hiatus

I wrote this novel a year after going on hiatus with my first novel "Greed" after growing as a writer and as a person. I wanted to create an inherently flawed character who was forced into situations that lead them to explore themselves and grow.

Looking back now, I was still very much an amateur writer and now believe I also lacked the life experience to be writing stories teaching about life. A lot of the readers on here are anywhere from ten to thirty years old and it's very easy to become influenced by a story that you become immersed in it.

I finally re-read my novel and although I see some potential, there's just too many flaws in it to continue. As with my previous novel, the idea of putting a normal person in a crazy world while having a system was fun since it's a harmless fantasy that you can live through vicariously. However, I do wish that I made my main characters slightly more likeable from the start and I also wish that I taught real life lessons that would benefit you in the long-term.

I think I could confidently write a story like that now, but unfortunately, life is too busy to be able to seriously and consistently create novels besides doing it just for fun and on a whim. I was a lot younger when I wrote this and I've since grown as a person. I feel like my ability to write stories is at a whole new level and my ability to create likeable and realistic characters is also on a completely different level.

I just wanted to leave an update that this novel will be on an indefinite hiatus and I likely won't change my mind about it but still am leaving room for myself in case I want to ever improve previous chapter and or just want to write some more chapters on a whim.
