7 Chapter 7: Making Deals.

They walked up the stairs to find themselves standing in a spacious hall with a long table and chairs neatly lined up while a young man was fiddling with something as beautiful wisps of ice glowed and shaped themselves to his will.

The boy's back was turned to them and the ice bird was flying over his head, he was wearing an ice blue shirt with folded sleeves to let him work freely and teal pants and crystal ice shoes, and a cape.

"I'll be finished in a bit, please have a seat." He said as he continued to work and a figure started to form. It was a humanoid figure of ice about two meters tall, buffed with crystals, and had a horned helmet over his head. It looked like a warrior from the old roman tales, a machine for slaughter and its hollow eyes glowed in an icy blue color. [pic here.]

"Phew, now I have a swordsman. Now for the sword," Aster waved his hands and a sword started forming out of the icy wisps till it formed and was floating before him. [pic here.]

The Sword had an eerie look to it, with a ram skull guard and the constant chilling wisps floating about it as the runes etched on the crystal ice blade started glowing as the ice warrior held it in his hands.

"Nice, that's one Ice Warrior and a Frostmourne. Pretty niche, even if I say so myself, right guys?" Aster asked with a smile while the towering warrior behind him was looking at them with its eerily glowing blue eyes.

No one had the words to speak and only Amelia walked forth, "could you tell us who you are and what is it that you want in Magical Britain?"

"I don't want much, just a bit of land and a job to live like a normal person," Aster said with a smile as he took a seat at the table and gestured for the others to do the same.

"You did not answer the first question," Moody growled.

"Ah, where are my manners, my name is Aster Frost, the Winter Spirit," Aster said doing a little bow.

"Yes, I am not a human, and no I don't read minds, that's not under my capacity. Yes, your face is that readable." Aster spoke as he looked at the metamorphagus whose hair was changing colors by the second.

He saw Dumbledore looking at him with scrutiny, "what will we get if we agree to your demands?"

"Along with my promise to aid you guys and me working for you, you will get to see the Sun and not have an external winter with the harshest blizzards blowing around," Aster said with a smile.

It was then they realized that this seemingly agreeable lad sitting in front of them was an existence that could basically change the map without breaking a sweat.

"How do we know that you won't harm us?" Shacklebolt asked with an ulterior motive.

"Let me ask you something, that old man here is twice stronger than you all put together and I don't see him collared, besides I am not a human, and we spirits don't lie nor do we go back on our words, unlike you humans. Satisfied?" Aster smiled as his fingers tapped the beautiful ice table rhythmically.

"Okay Aster, let's start it over again, this time in proper decorum," Dumbledore said with his same grandfatherly image.

"My name is Albus and beside me are Amelia, Alastor, and Kingsley. Now, how much land do you want and would you like to have a little tour around the ministry to see what job you want?" The Head Master said as he introduced the bigwigs.

"I want the area I have frozen to be mine and I won't take a step more nor would I accept any less. The magical beings are free to enter but bonded elves and humans need permission to enter, you guys can even keep a few arctic creatures around to let them live here, but no hunting them. And for the job, I want a paycheck, the normal one along with holidays." Aster said with a confident expression.

"And for what you will gain, I promise you aid if you land in trouble no matter how big, but I won't interfere in political messes or do stuff that's against my moral compass." Aster continued.

"Alright, that is reasonable, but have you thought of the job you want?" Amelia asked.

"Hmm, what does she do, she is around my physical age right?" Aster asked as he pointed at the bubbly metamorphagus.

"She is an Auror in training under Alastor, would you like to join the Aurors?" The Chief Warlock asked.

"Alastor looks grumpy, Miss Amelia, do you take people under you? An assistant perhaps?" Aster asked.

"I don't but if you wish you can work with me, Merlin knows I could use some help in the office," Amelia said with a tired look.

"Okay, then I want an appointment as your bodyguard, assistant, and secretary, I'll leave the salary to Amelia since I am not clear on the idea of how you humans deal with money. Anything to add?" Aster asked with a businessman look.

"We have a deal Aster, I hope that you won't harm the ignorant because of their follies." The Supreme Mugwump shook Aster's hand with his jovial smile.

"I won't but you humans would have a little problem with the water spirit if you guys keep on tainting him with no restraint, there is a boiling point, even for him you know? Don't ignore my warning unless you want to be under 100 feet of seawater by the next three centuries." Aster warned the old man.

The smile on his old face vanished and was replaced by a worried look as he exchanged glances with the others.

"We will look into it," the old man replied in a grave tone of seriousness.

"Pardon my poor hosting, I still haven't finished the decoration, nor do I have human food with me. I will invite you all at a later date, maybe host a ball or something. You all must come, okay?" Aster said with his same soft voice.

"Alright, we will discuss and finalize the pact back in the Ministry and finalize the terms, for now, we shall leave, thank you, Mr. Frost," Shacklebolt said as he ordered the Aurors to exit the castle after him.

The Head Master looked at crystal and asked, "she is a phoenix, right?"

"The name's Crystal, the first of her kind, she's gorgeous right?" Aster smirked.

"Beautiful indeed, but coming back to the matter at hand, do you know the art of Wizardry?" the old man asked.

"We spirits don't use your art, but I guess you wanted to ask if I needed help in hiding this place from normal people, right?" Aster asked.

"Yes, that would be my doubt." the old man confessed.

"Well, I thought about asking the Goblins, since they owe me a few favors like many magical races," Aster revealed.

"How did you get a physical form, if you don't mind me asking and what do you plan to do with the powers you hold?" The old man asked again.

"I have no idea how I got a physical form, and for what I will do, it will be trying to live like a human since I look like you guys now and as for my powers, I am a being who is old as time itself and I guess we old people know better than doing things that should not be done, right?" Aster said as he looked the old man in the eye.

"Good, it brings me much relief. Now, I hope we can head off to our other commitments." The old man smiled.

"Sure, but Miss Amelia, stay back for a bit, I have a nice present planned for my boss," Aster said with a playful smirk.

Moody and Albus left with Dora in tow and the castle doors closed again.
