22 Chapter 22: Killing some Arachnids.

Aster learned how to use chakra from Madoka and started training, but there was a little problem that could not be solved. Aster could not use any other jutsu other than the ice, wind, water, and yin affinity ones.

In general cases, even if one does not have the affinity it would be difficult but they would still be able to use jutsu from that affinity he does not have. But Aster was incapable of that, but he had a perfect affinity with the four elements he had an affinity with.

He mastered the Shadow clone jutsu and made a stronger ice clone version of it much like the wood clone that Hashirama had. Aster would send an ice clone to the DMLE to handle the work there while his original would train with Madoka and two other clones that would tinker with the Transmutation skill.

If the wiki was correct, Hermione would be petrified along with Penelope Clearwater in three days. Amelia who had seen the first and the second movie was going bonkers and would have straight away floo'd into Hogwarts and hexed the hell out of Dumbledore's wrinkly old butt.

Aster assured her that they would interfere when the time is right and that would be a day before Hermione and Penelope were petrified. Just a day more till the chosen date arrives when fate itself would be re-written.

"Hey Madoka, do you like snakes?" Aster asked her with a casual tone when he was preparing dinner and Madoka was reading a food magazine.

"I can't say I don't like them, but I don't like weak creatures," Madoka spoke without looking away from the magazine.

"Then we are going to get ourselves a nice pet." Aster hummed.

"Are you talking about the basilisk?" she asked.

"Yup, I am and I think that it's going to be a great match for you, beautiful, cold and dangerous. We solve the issue, but the plot does not change much, well, we have to free Dobby somehow." Aster wondered aloud.

"You plan it out, I will just tag along for the fun. Let's see whose eyes are stronger, mine or the basilisk." Madoka said with an eager grin as her Sharingan spiraled in excitement.

"Fine, but teach me about kenjustu tonight, and before I forget, don't break the crystal tree orchard I made yesterday, train somewhere else if you want to test your destructive moves," Aster warned as he served the dinner.

Just to refresh your memories and avoid much-unrequired confusion. A little Summary of the history by yours truly.

In 1943, the Chamber of Secrets was opened by a Slytherin fifth-year named Tom Riddle, who was able to control the Basilisk through his status as the Heir of Slytherin. Riddle unleashed the Basilisk on the school, with his goal of ridding the school of all of its Muggle-borns.

All the victims were merely Petrified, except for a student named Myrtle Warren, who was killed in the girls' bathroom on the second floor. A sink in that bathroom concealed the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets. Those events were nearly the cause for the permanent closing of Hogwarts.

To avoid that undesirable consequence for Hogwarts, which was the closest thing that he had to a home, Riddle framed Gryffindor's third-year Rubeus Hagrid for all the events and claimed that Hagrid's pet Acromantula, Aragog, was responsible for the attacks. Hagrid was expelled, and the attacks stopped.

However, Transfiguration Professor Albus Dumbledore became suspicious of Riddle and kept a very close watch over him during his remaining years at Hogwarts, thus preventing him from causing any further terror at the school since Riddle feared discovery. Dumbledore also convinced Armando Dippet, who was the Headmaster at that time, to allow Hagrid to stay at Hogwarts as a gamekeeper.

However, Riddle did not want his five years of hard work in finding out about the Chamber to go to waste and left behind a diary, which he had purchased that same year. The diary contained a portion of his own soul, in the hope that one day it would allow him to reopen the Chamber and reawaken the Basilisk by possessing an unwitting host.

That was then given to be kept in safekeeping to Lucious Malfoy, who did not know what it was and being unable to get rid of it in the Knockturn Alley, he placed it in Ginny Weasley's cauldron so that the dark artifact would be off his shoulders and hoped that it could cause Arthur Weasley trouble.

The Diary did its job and Ginny was possessed, attacks on muggle-borns happened, yet no death was caused which was practically impossible in real-life scenarios. The snake won't just say, "shit it survived, gotta try better with the next one" and leave the petrified victim untouched.

And then came the day, In Amelia's Office DMLE.

"Rufus, your team ready? Get them geared up and make sure there are no runners among them. We are going to raid an Acromatula nest, make sure you are ready for it." Aster spoke to the tensed-looking Rufus Scrimgeour.

"Yes sir, the team is ready and we have all the necessary papers we need. We can keep whatever spoils we get from this and use it to fill the DMLE development funds." Rufus spoke as he checked the checklist for one last time.

"Good, now we apparate to the forbidden forest. Amelia, floo into Hogwarts and ask Dumbledore to come to the forest outskirts. I and Madoka will be waiting for him over there." Aster smiled as Crystal appeared on his shoulder and vanished with him.

"Who is this 'Madoka', can she participate in a raid, can she pull her weight?" Rufus' secretary asked.

"Don't worry about that, just think of her the same as Aster, but with a short fuse and she won't shy from slaughtering an army if it means she can stretch her bones. Get that message passed on to make sure there are no accidents on the field." Amelia deployed the raid team and floo'd into Hogwarts.

Outside the Headmaster's chambers:

"Mr. Dumbledore, I think we have a lot to talk about, so could you please open the door for me," Amelia asked with her usual strict voice.

The stone Gargoyle moved and a staircase lead the way to the Head Master's chambers.

"It's quite surprising to have you visit unannounced Amelia, tell me what can this old man do for you?" Albus spoke with his same grandfather persona.

"You got a lot to explain, what is an Acromantula nest doing near Hogwarts? It's just begging for an accident to happen. The DMLE has brought in a raid team, you will help us secure Hogwarts and ensure no stragglers come this way if my team missed them. After this is done, we will have you give a formal statement. These are the papers from the ministry." Amelia handled the man with a no-nonsense attitude.

"Sigh, violence is not always the way my child." the old man nodded as he returned the papers Amelia gave him.

"Can't take any chances with children, we can't always hope that the centaur tribe will protect them, just a single miss could give us an innocent's death in our hands. I am sure you will understand where I am coming from." Amelia did not leave the old man any escape routes from this.

"I suppose the Aurors are already in position?" he asked.

"They are, and Aster said that he wanted to meet you after this, he wants to see the castle from what I understand from his actions. I hope that won't be a problem." Amelia spoke as she left the room through the floo.

"Just how did the DMLE get involved in this and how was I not informed of this... Sigh, so many plans and all for naught in front of the whims of fate." The old man muttered as he looked out of the window overlooking a part of the forest.
