Truth

After dealing with SHIELD, Professor Xavier arrived in a room where Dr. Kinross was taking care of Storm. Off to the side was a distraught Emma and a stoic Logan.

"How is she Moira?" Xavier asked.

Dr. Kinross sat down next to Ororo's bed after checking on her, "She's fine, just some minor bruising to the head and ribs."

Xavier nodded and looked over to Emma who was sitting alone looking into the woods. "Ms. Frost, how are you holding up?"

Emma Frost snapped out of her daze and spoke to Xavier with a bit of fear in her voice. "Professor...did Robb really do that?"

Xavier sighed deeply and spoke carefully, "No Ms. Frost. I believe that Robert's power acted on its own."

Everyone looked to the Professor in confusion, Xavier understood their confusion and explained from the beginning. "When I first touched Robert's mind there was a....chilling sensation that warned me not to probe any further. I believe that warning stemmed from his negative emotions and unknown heritage. When his mutation activated, his unknown genes must have reacted and created an entity that represents his darkness."

"...Darkness?" Dr. Kinross questioned, "He is such a driven and kind boy."

Professor Xavier paused to clarify, "Everyone has demons inside of them my dear. And Robert's demon's were bound into a single entity. It is not healthy to have so many negative emotions bottled up inside of you....because one day the dam will break and flood your state of mind."

Everyone took a moment of silence to contemplate on their own demons, thinking if they should need a cathartic exercise to release them.

"Robert Drake has great power. And I fear that if he still holds on to his way of life....he will cause massive destruction." Xavier admitted.

Emma's mind suddenly lit up when she heard Xavier fearing Robert. "Professor...do you know happened to Robb's parents?"

Xavier looked surprised at the sudden question, but before he could answer Logan spoke for him. "Kid lost control and killed them. Why do you think he's been working so hard?"

Emma's eyes looked at Xavier suspiciously, "Professor is that true?"

Xavier hesitated and put his head down in shame. "No. It is not true." He answered truthfully.

"That's why you told me Robb's parents were a sensitive matter." Dr. Kinross pointed out.

"I had to take precautionary measures, Ororo knows this." Xavier gesture to the unconscious Storm laying on the bed. "Making Robert fear his power, I thought he would be less likely to use it. But it seems faking his parents death only served as a drive to get stronger." Xavier said.

Emma grew angry at Xavier for manipulating Robb. But Logan was the most shocked. "You brainwashed him?" He asked quietly.

"Logan I assure you that I meant to tell Robert when he was ready." Xavier quickly tried to reason.

Logan slammed his heavy hand on the wall causing cracks to the wall. "You MESSED with his mind!" He yelled out angrily. Logan who has forgotten about his past grew angry and disappointed at Charles for manipulating a young boy.

"You better tell him soon Xavier, because if you won't....then I will." Logan growled out and walked outside to let off some steam.

"Are his parents still alive at least?" Dr. Kinross asked.

"Yes, very much so. They are living a nice and moderate life." Xavier answered.

"What about their son!? Aren't they wondering where he is!?" Emma shouted.

Xavier once again looked away and spoke quietly, "No..."

Dr. Kinross gasped with shock at the underlying meaning of his answer and Emma stormed out of the room.

In the woods....

After the fight with evil me I reabsorbed his corpse back into my body and found myself absorbing the surrounding ice I released as well. 'Interesting so I can absorb ice too?' I thought to myself.

Sitting on the hard dirt I began on comparing my clone's appearance with someone I haven't met yet, Loki.

"Loki had the same red eyes and blue skin with marks on him when he revealed his Frost Giant form." I said out loud. "Am I part Frost Giant? Could explain the unknown DNA and enhanced healing. Plus that super strength my clones had." I stood back up and walked to the mansion to look up Norse mythology.

When I got back I ran into Emma who was angrily walking away from somewhere.

"Hey Frost, you ok?" I called out.

Emma whirled her head around and came crashing into me, giving me a bone breaking hug. I was surprised but hugged her back.

"See I told you you had nothing to worry about." I said referring to Juggernaut coming for her.

Emma paused seemingly forgotten that she was a target of a villain. She looked up, our eyes connecting and she moved her head forward connecting her sweet and soft lips with mine.

She broke apart our short and shocking kiss. Seeing me stunned at the kiss she smiled softly and brought our heads together. After a few moments she walked to her room with tears in her eyes.

My brain malfunctioned from one shocking event after another. First the Juggernaut comes, then fighting my clone, Emma's sudden kiss, and now her odd and shocking request.

I stood in the hallway for a while still stunned from all of these events happening in one day. Contemplating on whether I should fulfill Emma's request or not, I decide to do it.

Heading to my room, I take off my uniform and out on some jeans, a blue shirt and a thin black hoodie. Heading out towards the nearby beach I come across Logan, who appeared to be in a bad mood and taking a walk.

"Hey kid, you going somewhere?" He asked.

"Yeah, Emma wanted me to run an errand." I said rubbing the back of my head nervously.

Logan narrowed his eyes and nodded, "Alright, stay safe." I started to walk but Logan called out again, "And hey kid, I'm always here if you need anything." He spoke softly. I nodded my thanks and walked away.

Reaching the beach I take a deep breath and jump on the crashing waves. Touching the surface of the water, my feet quickly form a solid board of ice. I float then will my board to go forward, reaching high speeds.

As the sun begins to set, I arrive at a familiar beach and a familiar old shack. "Its really been 8 months since then huh...." I said, reminiscing on my first time here trying to learn my powers.

I squeeze my mother's necklace hanging from neck for comfort as I walk a familiar road, reaching a familiar neighborhood that brought bad memories.

Arriving near my parents house I become confused, it was fixed from all the damage I remembered causing to it from my outburst of power. What's even more confusing was that the lights were on, signaling someone was home.

My heart begins to beat faster as I stood in front of my old home, breathing shakily at an impossible conclusion. I ring the doorbell.

Hearing the pitter patter of foot steps coming to open the door. I held my breath.

The door opened to reveal a familiar middle aged woman, her caring face and comforting aura still present. My eyes begin to water as I stare at her, "...Mom?"

"I'm sorry, who are you?"
