13 Chapter 13

My visit was useless because I forgot about Papa Bear's breakfast. He said it was fine. Young ones forget often than the old ones because the old ones are too sentimental. Then we laughed. He was teasing me because I told him what happened.

"Maybe I should thank Heat for doing that?" he spoke

"Papa Bear! Winter and I knew our limitations, besides, I still have this business in my real world" I replied

"Business? Oh! Now, you are saying that marrying some stranger is your business?" he asked

"No, I am just giving a chance to that man and also, I can properly thank him. This anonymous man also gave me an instinct that I must meet him or I'll regret something" I said

"Well, it seems like even you see him, you are looking for only one, a man that never existed in your world" he replied

I was hit by those words. Yes, I know that Winter will never exist in my realm, yet I still hope so. I want him to meet my parents too. I'm sure he'll feel love when he meets them.

"I can still come back if I leave," I said

"Oh, that wish isn't clear to you. When Winter wished it, it means you have a second chance to come back, but that doesn't mean you can come and go anytime" he explained

"Then, I will return here when I bid my goodbye" I smiled

"Winter is so lucky to meet you. He never had one who can see his faults, yet still love him" Papa Bear said

"I hope he can open up to me, I may look so close to him, yet in reality, I don't know anything about him," I said

Papa Bear gave me a meaningful smile.

"It seems like whether you meet that man or not, you've made your own decision already"

I smiled. Maybe, I already made a choice after all. I went to Autumn's house and enjoyed his songs. Rain also braided my hair and picked some well-dried leaves which looked like an ornament on my hair. I visited Sunlight and I realized she's not that bad at all. She's sometimes childish and funny. She apologized for being jealous, but I understand. We had quite a good conversation...

"I now understand why Heat fell for you," she said

"What? How can you say that?" I asked

"He said... We've reconciled and he said that he fell out of love because I didn't fall in love" she gave me a weak smile

"If not, then why are you acting like you've been rejected?" I asked innocently

"Because we made a deal that no one will fall in love in the three years" she replied

"Sunlight, what's more important, your love for him or that contract? It seems you've been letting your ego win" I responded

"You love him," I said

"Haha, you are talking like you know everything about love" she answered

"Is that so?" I asked

"Well, haha... Yes?" she replied hesitantly

"I witnessed my mother and father's love so probably I came up to a conclusion because of that?" I said

"Lucky are you, you have this parental love. I'm sure it would be nice" she replied

"I've been an orphan, without a name or a family who can take me in" she added

"Then..."

"I've been alone with my whole life until the Master invited me in," she said

"Maybe that's the good side of the Master, yet I still hate him," I said

"Your blood boils when you hear the Master, huh?" she laughed

"Because he always tortures Winter!" I said

"Torture? That never seems the right word. Well, I have no right to intrude. Tell me, how did you know you fell for Winter?" she asked

"Eh? Winter and I was just playing our role as partners of the Winter" I replied

"Maybe that's a wrong question to ask. Wind, let me give you a piece of advice, never do matchmaking when you don't know the word love" she said

I've been in silence the whole time until I went home. Did I just play like I know love when I didn't? But, why Autumn and Rain looked like they were in love? Was that just luck?

"What's wrong?" Winter asked when I bumped into him

"Oh? I'm home" I came back to my conscious

"No, we're actually inside the forest" he replied

I gazed at his eyes. I wonder if he knows something about love. I need someone to explain why am I wrong. Sunlight and Heat had been together ever since I came here, how can they not fall in love with each other?

"What do you want to ask?" he said

"Is that obvious?" I blushed

"No, I just know you better" he responded lifting my chin

I felt embarrassed that I can't even look in his eyes. Why I always felt this feeling when it comes to him? He's not doing anything, just lifting my chin. I kind of hate this feeling. It's so awkward.

"Say, do you ever felt in love before?" I asked

"Who do you want to talk to? Life, Autumn or Heat?" he asked

"I'm asking you! where did your brothers come from this conversation?" I said and pouted

"Silly girl, because I don't know what to say, but I know how the three would explain" he replied and combed my hair by his fingers to remove the snow

"But, I want to hear your opinion" I whispered

"Hmm... Let me tell you what Autumn said about love. Love is something that never envies, it doesn't hurt nor violent. Love comes from a person who cares and will put you the priority among else. So, if you ever felt this to someone, then you are in love." he said

"How about Life?" I smiled

"For him, love is something cruel. He said that if you fell in love, you lost everything and at the same time gain something. Love is a battle between ego and the heart, no matter which one you choose, you'll still feel both happy and sad" he answered

"Isn't that too contradicting?" I asked

"Because love can't be defined unless felt" he replied

"Then you defined it, you must have felt in love before," I said what I analyzed

"Maybe yes, maybe no," he said and held my hand as we walked home

"Won't you ask what Heat said?" he asked

"I guess he'll just say something about fun and the such which I fully can comprehend that he will say love is happiness" I replied and he laughed

"Maybe you didn't get why my brother acted like that. You know, villagers as well as us, representatives, will change once we're named. Like Autumn, he wasn't like that if he wasn't named Autumn. Same goes for me and Heat, our attitudes and behaviors differ because we were entitled to be." he explained

"Then.."

"Yes, when you were declared as Wind, your actions had been changed by this place" he replied

"So, that means you're cold because you are Winter?" I asked

"Exactly, that also explains why everyone said, I and my twin brother don't interact well when actually, we are" he smiled

"Why are you so open to me?" I asked suspiciously

He was not like this before. How can it be?

"I don't think it will be the right time, but I think you should be prepared. I'm going to leave this place and return soon. I will be Passed in the coming days" he said

What? He will leave me behind? I pushed him and ran away. How can he do this to me? I thought representatives can not leave this place, I was so into wishing that I can be with him here forever, then he will tell me that he will leave this place? I hate him.
