48 Mountians of Geva and Soulful Flowers

Minas sighed and glanced back at the Gods in the room one last time. "What about the Soulful flowers?" He focused on Croepl and Noevl.

Croepl deeply sighed while Noevl's forehead wrinkled. It was Noevl who spoke first, "There aren't any."

"What?" the shock in Minas' voice was enough to make the two flinch.

Croepl stepped closer to the shocked god. "There aren't any Soulful flowers in our jurisdiction. There are only some planted in-" she hesitated. Minas urged for her to go on, his eyes displaying the urgency that he had hid deep within. Croepl took a deep breath before she continued. "It's in a neutral Godspace."

Minas quickly relaxed, "Oh? Is that it. I thought you would have said-"

"In the Mountains of Geva," Noevl quickly interrupted him, the fear evident in her eyes. "They're in the Mountains of Geva."

The silence in the room congealed.

"We can go," Noevl volunteered while Ocis stood up behind her.

Minas shot them a look before he shook his head. "You two are too young. You won't be able to survive the difficulties of the Mountains of Geva." He turned back to Croepl, "Which mountain?"

Her face turned grimmer as she took in a deep breath, "The last one."

Minas' face turned pale.

Qori quickly stood up and walked over to him. "Enough," she glanced at the other Gods. "He has to go back to sleep."

Moving her hand away, Minas face was solemn, "Mai needs them, though. I can't just sleep without knowing that she will get the flowers."

Qori exasperatedly glanced at Minas and then sighed. "Fine. I'll go."

"Promise?" Minas placed his pleading eyes onto Qori.

A loud sigh escaped from Qori's mouth. "Yes! Now go back to sleep."

Minas nodded and staggeringly returned to his bed. Qori nodded in relief before she turned to the rest of the Gods in the room.

"Lorna and Kirna, you both can't leave your Godspaces', so that won't work." She turned to Croepl and Noevl, "You both can't last in the frigid temperatures of the mountain." She glanced at Ocis. "Minas still doesn't trust you." Finally, her gaze rested on Eolia and Wurv, God of Liberty. "You two will come with me."

Eolia and Wurv glanced at each other before they determinedly looked back at Qori.

Qori smiled, "Good. We leave at dawn tomorrow."

.............................................

Minas closed his eyes and once again, his dream changed from its usual darkness to a murky light. He could see Mai's silhouette within it, and he couldn't help but wish for the fog to clear.

However, all of a sudden, like the clearing of a moon with the moving of the clouds, the fog cleared and, for the first time, Mai and Minas met face-to-face with each other.

Mai's face had the surprise of suddenness and not the surprise that someone gets once meeting another for the first time. Minas couldn't help but think whether she was awake that time he had brought her to the Gods' realm for the first time.

Minas, on the other hand, was completely shocked. His jaw practically hit the floor long ago once he saw Mai. His eyes twinkled in surprise and awe.

He was also the first to break the silence. "Is that really you, Mai."

Mai tilted her head at Minas and he could feel a twinge in his heart from the cuteness. She then shook her head as she pointed at her ear.

'What?' Minas thought to himself. 'It couldn't be that Mai can't hear me, right?'

Minas brought himself out of his thoughts and looked back at Mai. "You can't hear me?" He pointed at his mouth and then his ears, making sure to clearly mouth his words.

Mai shook her head and was about to mouth something herself when everything was suddenly plunged into darkness.

Minas felt frustrated.
