2 Poor!

"Are you guys saying we are poor now?!" Hellion shouted at her parents.

"We went into debt. We thought we could get back up but we were wrong." Her dad said disappointed.

She looked at him disgusted and said "I graduated and this is the present you give me?!"

Her mother said "He'll get a regular job and-"

Hellion asked "When will I go to Paris?"

Their silence made her very angry and upset. She took off and went to sit on a near by bench.

"What's wrong?! I came fast as I could." Rose rushed around Hellion.

Hellion said "I'm not going to study in Paris anymore."

"What?! Why?" She asked shocked.

Hellion said "My parents don't own the company anymore."

"You're poor?" She asked disgusted.

Hellion pulled her into a hug and whined "Yes!"

Rose pushed her away and said "Uh! I don't have poor friends! Forget about our friendship."

"What?" Hellion couldn't believe her ears.

Rose left her and Hellion was left alone.

"What will I do now?" She asked herself.

Hellion received a call and it was from her mother saying that her father had a heart attack. She rushed to the hospital and waited for the doctor to come out. Eventually, the doctor came out to inform that he was going to be fine but he had to rest a couple of months.

"What will we do now?" Hellion asked her mother.

"I don't know. I never have worked in my life only your father." She said it like the world was ending.

"He can't work anymore! I can't study cause we are poor!" Hellion yelled.

"You can still study." She stated.

"How?!" She shouted.

"You can work-"

"What?! Are you crazy?!" Hellion lost it at this point and just left the building.

Hellion just stared into space as she couldn't cry no more about everything that happened all at once. When she calmed down she headed back to her house and looked around. Some things were packed up and others not. No one was home and that's all she wanted.

A week passed by and her father was finally home.

"We need to talk." He said to her.

She let out a long sigh before looking up at him in bed. She sat next to him and he smiled.

"I have good news." He said as he held his heart. It made her soften up a bit and nodded softly.

He said with a soft smile "The new owner of our company came to offer me 25% of the transactions."

"Why?" Hellion immediately asked confused.

He said "There's a condition I have to follow in order to get that 25%."

She raised an eyebrow and said "Well, do it! What are you waiting for?"

She kind of got happy until he said "I can't work to get those 25%."

"Then what will happen." Hellion asked her father.

He said "You have to work in the company in order to get those 25%. It's not much but-"

Hellion began to raise her voice "You want me to work! I'm suppose to go to Paris and-"

"Forget about that Hellion! We aren't rich anymore! You need to sign this agreement or we'll have to adjust to a worse environment! GET IT TOGETHER!" He held his heart in so much pain as he shouted at her.

She held his hand and said "Ok, I'll do it! Just please, calm down. Breathe slowly or you'll die for sure."

After, dinner Hellion had no choice but to sign an agreement that she would work for the new owner in order to get the 25% of the transactions of the company.

"What is the company even selling or doing now?" She asked curiously.

Her father was now asleep because of the heavy medication that was being given to him.

"I can't believe I have to work for a company just because you guys went into debt." Hellion said as she walked past her mother.

The next morning trucks came to get boxes and more boxes.

"Why are they taking our things?!" Hellion shouted at her mother.

She responded "When you don't pay for things the owners come to pick it back up."

Hellion rolled her eyes and said "It's fine. We'll get better things anyways."

Her mother said "Hellion we'll always be poor. We won't ever be rich again. We aren't our own owners anymore. 25% is not much but it's something."

Hellion looked at her annoyed and looked at her father come down the stairs.

"Where's the breakfast? Why isn't it served?"

Her mother said "We don't have money to pay anyone to do our things anymore."

"What will I eat then?!" Hellion shouted very impatiently.

Her father said "We can make breakfast here together as a family."

Hellion stood up and left the house to go to hell.
