Chapter 5

I walked out calling Valery, making sure she was present for this engagement party, or I would lose my shit. After showering, washing my hair and shaving my legs, I stepped out. I dressed in some joggers and a white sweatshirt, tying my hair I went down stairs for breakfast.

"Good morning miss."

"Good morning James, how are you?"

'No time for small talk Miss."

"What's going on? Where is everybody?"

"Everyone is leaving, we're heading over to the Bradshaw Mansion." Bradshaw Mansion? I knitted my eyebrows.

"Why?"

"Were you not informed?"

"No James, inform me."

"Well, Mr Montez called a staff meeting this morning, said that we should all head over to the Bradshaw's, help the staff prepare for the party."

"Do you know where my father is at the moment James?"

"His office Miss." I marched in and slammed the door, taking a seat calmly.

"What's up? Who did what now?" he sighed closing his laptop. He looked at me and his eyes softened.

"Why are you crying hija?" I felt my cheeks and realised I was indeed crying. I shrugged, feeling overwhelmed.

"This wedding, this party, Zayn, his stupid mother, I don't think I can do this."

"Ariana, you shouldn't call people stupid." I rolled my eyes.

"I wish I didn't have to this. I wish you had the chance to choose your own love, your own path, but you know how it goes. It's just life, and we have to deal with it." I nodded my head, making a move to get up when I remembered I wanted to ask him about what happened at the restaurant.

"Hey dad, did you tell Katy we were at the restaurant?"

"Katy? Your mom Katy?" I nodded my head. He furrowed his brows shaking his head.

"No, why?"

"Well she called the restaurant, told the hostess she wanted to speak to me, I wonder what she wants."

"Better yet, how did she know you were at the restaurant, this is suspicious, I'll follow up on this, I don't want her anywhere near you."

"She hasn't contacted you? Now that your networth is higher then her husbands will ever be?"

"I don't think she'll ever contact me. Now go get ready Mandy is probably waiting for you."

"Okay dad, thanks for the talk."

Mandy was our personal stylist, she was exceptional. I walked over to the west wing of our house, and into the foyer I was about to step out when my cell rang.

"Hello?"

"Hey babe." I rolled my eyes. I really need to save Zayn's number.

"What you want Zayn?"

"What colour dress are you wearing? I want us to match." I blushed, feeling butterflies erupted in my stomach.

"I don't know, why don't you come over here, our stylist is gonna get us ready."

"So you want us to match?" He said teasingly.

"Shut up, are you coming over or what?"

"Anything for you, my future wife." I smiled, my cheeks red from blushing.

"Bye."

"Bye." I ended the call and turned around, already forgetting why I came here. When I turned around I found James standing in the middle of the room, smiling knowingly.

"You like him." He nodded his head.

"No, I don't, you're imagining things, I don't even know him."

"Look at you, denying my accusations, when did you become so big?" He said smiling sadly. I rolled my eyes, shaking my head.

"Are you leaving now?"

"No, I'll be at you service, and we'll leave together." I nodded my head.

"Zayn will be here in a few minutes. Could you please open the gates for him."

"Yes miss, Mandy's waiting for you in the dressing room."

"Thank you James." I'm going to miss this guy, he practically raised me.

I walked over to the dressing room, not impressed with Mandy's timing, the Bradshaw Mansion was 3 hours away, and we would have to leave early if we wanted to make it there on time. Mrs Bradshaw deciding she wanted to change the venue last minute really threw me off.

How dare she do something like that. I internally rolled my eyes.

I walked in and found Mandy waiting, she didn't look to happy herself.
