3 The wand that would not choose...has chosen

After the ship had landed, Harry, Draco, and Willow bid farewell to Ron and Hermione as they had breakfast on the ship. Afterward, Harry sent Willow and his luggage to his house. Then the three left the ship as it disappears and they themselves disappears as well. They reappear in front of the Leaky Cauldron.

The place looks a bit run down, In fact, at first, Willow thought that the sign had been completely rusted over, but slowly it started to reveal itself as if it was brand new. It shows the words Leaky cauldron and a Witch stirring something in a cauldron. The three of them enter the building and to Willow's surprise, it was actually a bit busy.

Standing behind the bar was a young witch that looked to be in her early twenties, Her hair is blonde and braided and her eyes are electric blue, she had a pale complexion. She looks at the three as they come in and beam as she saw Harry and she made her way over to them. Willow felt a slight discomfort with a hint of annoyance from Harry, however, she felt as if Draco wanted to laugh but try his best to suppress it.

" That's Ailios McCain, She help with running the Leaky cauldron, However, she does fancy, Harry." Draco said with a smile and Willow couldn't help but giggle as all Harry could get out was a small hissed "Shut up." to Draco as Ailios was standing in front of them, and let just say that the Feelings Willow feels off Ailios would make cupid himself blushed.

"Hullo, Mr. Potter what brings ye 'ere?" Ailios asked, however, Willow had noticed that she tried her best to speak clearer, and tried her best to not speak with her Celtic accent as if she was trying to impress Harry and as if she was ashamed of it as well.

"Hello, Miss McCain, Mr. Malfoy and I are taking Miss. Willow Slytherin here to buy her school supplies for her first year at Hogwarts." Harry said as nicely as he could, he glad that Ginny and his kids weren't here, same with Hermione and Ron, he would never live this down. Ailios looked at Willow and smile.

" How are ye doing, young lass?" Ailios asked her as her eyes drift to Harry every so often. "Are ye excited for Hogwarts?" She added as she looked back to Willow. Willow gave Ailios a heart-melting smile, Harry and Draco thought that if she went to Hogwarts when they went they knew for sure that this girl could even melt Snape's, cold heart. Harry even thought that this girl can be scary with this ability as she could get anybody to do anything she wants them to do if she chose to.

"Aye young lassie, that's good, and I doing fine." Ailios said and she looks at Harry. " She very polite." She added, and Harry nodded in agreement. However, he told Ailios that they were on a tight schedule and bid her goodbye. Willow could feel the drop in Ailios feelings. Before Harry and Draco could lead her to the courtyard Willow turns back to look at Ailios.

" Miss McCain, I have to say you're a beautiful woman, and I think your accent is beautiful as well." Willow said and she turns to leave but stop again. "Oh and I think you did an excellent job on your speech." Willow added and she left but not before she felt a flutter in Ailios heart and felt that she became happy.

The three stood in the courtyard as Draco took his wand out and he and from the trashcan, he went up three bricks and two over before he tap the right brick. He put his wand up. At first, Willow thought nothing had happened until the bricks begin to move a shift, at first a small hole begin opening up as it grows larger until the wall turns into a large archway. Willow couldn't believe how many stores there are let alone how busy it was. Harry and Draco looked at each other and chuckle.

" It never gets old." Harry said as he comments on Willow's surprised face. "Okay the first place we have to go to is Gringotts, It runs by Goblins, so let be on our best behavior." Harry added as he pointed to a large marble white multistoried building that towers over other shops to Willow.

"So, are they still mad?" Draco asked and Harry nodded, as they lead Willow to the bank. Harry and Draco carefully guide Willow through the crowd, as Harry told Willow to stay close to them. After pushing through the ocean of busy shoppers, and Willow being swept away by them at least twice and both time Harry and Draco ended up finding her in front of Olivanders, in fact, it amazed Willow how both times she got swept away, she ended up at Ollivander's.

They finally reach Gringotts and Draco made a comment that it seems to be even busier than when they were shopping for their supplies. Willow looks at the building as she couldn't believe how tall it was, yeah she could see it from the entrance of Diagon Alley, but she didn't expect it to be this big. They walk up the smooth white marble stairs that lead into the entrance of Gringotts, Harry opens one of the burnished bronze doors, Willow saw two Goblins in a uniform of scarlet and gold. They stop in front of a bigger door with words written on it:

Enter, stranger, but take heed

Of what awaits the sin of greed

For those who take, but do not earn,

Must pay most dearly in their turn.

So if you seek beneath our floors

A treasure that was never yours,

Thief, you have been warned, beware

Of finding more than treasure there.

"More than treasure?" Willow asked.

"Last time it was a dragon, but um it was set loose." Harry said as he didn't say any more on the subject, although Willow is quite sure there is more to it than that, as they open the door it leads to a vast marble hall with counters on both sides and Goblins behind them, counting gold and helping other wizarding families. Willow could also see a door that leads to somewhere else. Harry and Draco guide Willow to an unoccupied Goblin.

"Hello. Miss Willow Slytherin would like to make a withdrawal from her vault." Harry said as charming as he could after all the Goblin didn't really like him, Hermione and Ron. Even if they did save the magical world, and put things right, however, the goblins weren't too please with how much destruction they cause to Gringotts, in fact, every time someone asked they always have the same replied: "We're grateful for them saving the magical world, however, we do not need the mess they left behind in Gringotts, thank you very much."

The Goblin peer at Harry and with that he spoke with a cold cruel voice.

" Hello, Mister Potter, and does Miss Slytherin have her key?" The Goblin asked, but when he talked to Harry it was in a slight hateful way. Even Willow could tell without her ability to feel other's feelings.

Harry smile and reach into his pocket, Willow was quite sure his pockets were magical, as it seems to take him a bit of time to pull the small golden key out. on top of it, it had a number that read two thousand and thirteen. Harry handed it to the goblin as it carefully looked it over and nodded as he hands the key back to Harry.

"Very well. Follow me." the goblin said and he leads them through the door. Inside the room is a rail track and what looks like a minecart waiting there for them. The track leads into an ominous cave. Willow blinks as she was a bit scared, after all, it was a very dark cave, and it seems to be intimidating.

However, Willow notice there was no driver or any way to drive the cart or control it. Harry guides her into the cart as the rest got in as well, and without warning, the cart started to slowly move into the mouth of the cave, and just as the cart enter the cave, it seems to pick up speed, the tracks remind Willow of a roller coaster ride, albeit a dangerous one, in fact, Willow was surprised that there wasn't any seatbelt of bars to keep them in place, but despite her fear it just heightens her observation even higher then it is and she notices that the deeper the cart goes the faster it goes.

Willow would ask Harry and Draco is it normal for the cart to speed up, but the loud sounds from the cart as well as the rushing air would make conversation a bit hard, and also this only reminds her why she hated roller coasters as it made her stomach feel like it doing flips and she thought it is best to keep her mouth shut. However, she was glad that Hermione had put her hair in a braided ponytail, if not her hair would be all over the place.

Instantly without any warning from the Goblin whatsoever, the cart came to a screeching halt. Which causing Willow to Jerk forward and she would've hit the front of the cart if Harry and Draco didn't stop her, she replied with a small thanks but consider it was rather rudely for the Goblin not to mention anything about the sudden stop. The Goblin got out of the cart with a lantern, and walk in front of an enormous vault, that leads into a cave. The vault had the same numbers that match the key that Harry showed the Goblin before. Then, Harry, Draco, and Willow Join the Goblin at the vault.

"Key please." The Goblin said and even though he said please there was no politeness behind his voice, the feelings that radiate off of him made Willow think that he's a very foul being and that he just needed a hug. Harry handed over the key, and to Willow's shock, a small keyhole appears in the vault door, The goblin stick the key in the lock and turn it left and she heard the click, then another keyhole appears and the Goblin took a black key out and stick it into the new lock and turn it right and there was another loud click.

The Goblin then press his hand against the door and another loud click, and then the vault door open. The torches in the cave lit by themselves when the door open. This time all three of them were flabbergasted. Willow's vault was extremely enormous, everywhere she looks there were huge chests filled with treasures, Gold and silver ingots pile up in a huge pile in one of the corners, piles upon piles of gold, silver, and bronze coins. There was plenty of precious jewelry, ancient artifacts that are worth a lot of money, in fact, to say Willow is rich would highly be an understatement, She's extremely wealthy.

" She richer than we put together even if you add the Weasley money." Draco said, but then he chuckles." Should've expected it, She is a Slytherin. The Goblin handed Harry a leather pouch, and Harry and Draco teach Willow all about wizard money, and how to use it.

Willow was curious about everything her family left her in the vault, however, Harry and Draco almost had to drag her out, when they were finished and they told her she has plenty of time later on to see.

After the Goblin lock the vault and handed the golden key back to Harry as the Goblin reset the curses and enchantment on Willow's vault. When they made it back to the room that leads into the cavern and after they exit the car, Willow notices the ride back wasn't too bad, She looks at the Goblin and told him Thank you and gave him a hug before Harry and Draco could stop her.

However, the Goblin was utterly taken aback and didn't know what to do as this is the first time anybody had hug a Goblin. When they left Gringotts Willow was carrying a full pouch, while Harry and Draco were on both her sides, Willow thought it was a bit strange, it seems as if they were trying to protect her from something, and that was the feeling she got from them, but she just thought it was because she carrying a full pouch of money.

At first, they went to Madam Malkins to get Willow's robes but seeing how as always she was busy, she only took Willow's measurements and told them to come back in an hour and she would complete her fitting. So They went to get her books which she also got a couple of advanced books on magic, although Harry only allows her to get it if she promises to not use the spells in those books until she is ready, which she agreed to, they also got her cauldron, and the other supplies she needed, They walk by Quality Quidditch Supplies and something caught Willow's eyes that was hovering in the display window. It was a broomstick, its handle was black with thin silver stripes, the tail of the broom was gold. At the top of the handle, it had read: "Pegasus". The card underneath it read:

" The newest broom to ever be invented, not only can it keep up and outraced and outperform with top brooms like the Nimbus series, The Firebolt series, and so on, this broom was built to last."

"It beautiful." Willow said.

"It is, however, we can't buy it yet, because first years aren't allowed to have broomsticks. How about I let you ride my broomstick when we get home and next year we'll buy you one. Who knows, maybe you get on your house Quidditch team." Harry comments and they lead her to a shop to get something to eat, while Harry and Draco explain to her about the houses of Hogwarts and about Quidditch. Draco checks his watch to see that they still have time, So they went to Ollivanders, Harry left Willow with Draco as he mentioned something about a birthday present.

Draco and Willow walk in a small bell could be heard as they enter. Willow saw shelves with countless boxes that pile up to the ceiling, and also dust and spiderwebs. In a corner is a small chair, in the display is a faded purple cushion with a wand laying on it. A small elderly man walks out, He looks at Draco and to Willow.

" Mr. Malfoy, ten inches, hawthorn with unicorn hair. I hope it still working for you." He said to him and his eyes snap to Willow. Willow was a bit nervous about this man, she couldn't get a read off him, which isn't normal. "Buying your first wand I see, well how about we start." He added. as Draco nodded, to answer him.

Ollivanders took out a measuring tape and it begins to measuring Willow on its own as Ollivanders took down a pile of boxes and set them on the counter, Harry walked in with something that hidden underneath a cloth, as he stands next to Draco. Ollivanders took a wand out, but of course before Willow could do anything he snatch it out of her hand.

"No,no,no that is not a good fit." He said and he handed her another, however he snatch that one out of her hands as well. Draco notice a tattoo like mark was on Willow's left wrist. After about the sixth wand she tried Willow could feel herself getting a bit frustrating.

" Don't you worry, I haven't met a witch or wizard who I can't match with their wand." Ollivander said and he looked at the back of the shop their was a cabinet with a lock on it. He went to it to unlock it and tooked out a black box that read: "Excalibur by: Ollivanders." In gold letters, after he clear all the dust and spiderwebs that was on it. He came back and open it, the inside of the box had purple velvet in it and laying on it is a beautiful wand it midnight blue with white small dots on it that remind Willow of the night sky, the handle had what looks to be ivys design in it.

"This is a very rare wand, the only one of it kind. All wands are powerful if they are in the right hands who can use them to their full potential, just as a wand can help unlock a witch or wizard full potential. This wand is a hybrid of sort, in fact it's an experiment. twelve and a half inches long, nice and supple. The wood are Holly, Elder, Yew, Willow, and Acacia. The core are phoenix feather, thestral tail hair, thunderbird tail feather, horn serphent horn, and Quetzalcoatl feather. Miss Slytherin, to make this wand and to make it stable it took a lot of fail attempts, and it took many years in my youth to finally to complete it. However this wand is very stubborn, as you can tell it has not chosen anybody, however I hope you will be different, after all the wand chooses the Wizard, or in your case the Witch." He said to her, Harry and Draco were surprise that there was a wand like this. Harry hope it wouldn't cause as much problem as the elder wand.

"Don't you think it might be too powerful for her?" Harry asked.

"No, if the wand chooses her, then she will be it's master, and as I said any wand could be powerful or weak it depends on the potential of the person who wield it. If she grows to becomes a powerful witch, then her wand will be powerful in her hands." Ollivanders told him. Harry had to admit wandlore are confusing.

Ollivanders handed the wand to Willow as she took it, She felt a surge of magical energy run through her.

" Give it a wave." Ollivander said, Willow nodded and she gave it a wave and a shower of purple lilies petals, bleeding heart petals, nightsky petunia petals and mixed color wisteria petals fall over them. The three adult clap and ollivanders look at her.

"Very curious...indeed." He said and Harry look at him.

"Why is that?" He asked.

"The phoenix feather that reside in her wand came from the same phoenix as yours, and Voldemort." Ollivander told him, But when Willow heard the name Voldemort, she had gotten a headache and seen a flash of memory that wasn't her, it was a young Harry who was around the same age as her, trying to stop a man with two faces from getting a red rock.

"Willow, are you okay?" Harry asked as he looked at her concern, as did Draco.

"Yeah, just a headache, it'll pass." Willow said with a smile.

"Why did you choose flowers?" Draco asked.

"They are beautiful, don't you think?" She said to him and with that he nodded.

"Miss Slytherin, I'll tell you the same that I told Mr. Potter when he bought his wand. Since this stubborn wand had chosen you, you're destined to do great things. I just hope they won't be terrible, now as you grow, your wand will grow with you." Ollivanders said, Willow didn't say anything as she pays for her wand and Willow hates to admit it to herself but she doesn't think she like Mr. Ollivanders that much.

They have little time to get back to the robe shop, however, luckily they made it back in time, although Willow was absolutely sure they were in Ollivanders longer. She had asked Harry what was under the cloth, but he said he'll tell her after her robe fitting.

After the robe fitting, Harry could see Willow's impatientness, so before they stop by the Weasley's shop, Harry lifts the cloth to reveal a snowy white female owl sleeping in a huge birdcage.

"She's a late birthday present, so what are you going to name her?" Harry asked.

Willow was lost for words, She wasn't really used to this, Matilda tries her best to give gifts to the children at the orphanage on their birthday, but sometimes if not most of the time money was tight.

" I'll name her Snow. After all her feathers are beautiful as snow." Willow said and Harry and Draco agreed.

"Willow, I'm curious, what is that mark on your wrist. I saw it in Ollivanders." Draco said. Willow shows both of them the tattoo-like birthmark of the snake wrap around a crown. "Not sure had it ever since I could remember. Matilda said it was a birthmark." Willow said. However, Draco and Harry thought about it but chose not to discuss it further. So they went on to visit the Weasley's shop and afterward Harry and Willow bid Draco Goodbye, and they disappear.
