"Please, take your seat. Try to fill up the empty seats first, going from front to back, thank you for your cooperation," The male theme park worker who manned the roller-coaster announced to the visiting crowd. Then, he turned to Jun Yang's group who was at the front of the line, "Young man, this way please."

He addressed Jun Yang because Jun Yang happened to be at the front of the group. On the surface, this looked perfectly serendipitous but in reality, when they were in line, Pei Ling had been trying to silently and slowly maneuver their position with Cindy's help.

She would take a stealthy step forward when she was talking to Jun Yang, and she made it looked like an unconscious shuffle. To maintain a conversation with her, Jun Yang would have to also follow her forward to not appear rude. A shuffle might not appear much but repeat it many times, and it would still add up to quite a distance.

Of course, for this to succeed, Pei Ling would need time and that was one of the reasons why she opted for the roller-coaster. She knew with its popularity, the line would be long, and she would have more than enough time to put her plan into action.

Speaking of her plan, Cindy could be considered one of her unwilling accomplices. Cindy and Qin Xing were found trapped in their lovey-dovey world and they formed a natural barricade of sorts between Jun Yang as well as Pei Ling and Feng Qi.

It was worth noting that Qin Xing actually did not know about Cindy's plan, he was there simply because his girlfriend asked him out on a date. The young man had no idea he was being used.

However, it was not Cindy's intention to make use of her boyfriend either, she was also caught in a pickle. Pei Ling's order was for her to distract Feng Qi, but the former did not specify how she was to do that, she only wanted the result and she left Cindy to come up with her own solution. In fact, Pei Ling, at one point, even implied that Cindy could seduce Feng Qi. If she failed, and Cindy had half a heart to believe that Pei Ling depended on her to fail, the failure would prove to be a big enough distraction.

Therefore, with no option available, Cindy decided to ask her boyfriend to come along. So far, things were going along better than she expected. Her fake 'date' with Qin Xing turned out to be quite an enjoyable one and it was a lot more easier to distract Feng Qi with Qin Xing in tow. At least the two boys had more things to talk about compared to just herself and Feng Qi.

Cindy did not share the order that was given to her with Qin Xing because she did not want to drag her boyfriend into this mess. She did not feel like giving more pawns to Pei Ling to use.

In any case, Cindy carried out her orders well. When it came their turn to take the roller-coaster, Pei Ling was standing next to Jun Yang at the front, Cindy and Qin Xing were at the middle and Feng Qi was sequestered at the back.

Following the worker's order, Jun Yang headed to the seat next to the father. While he moved, both Cindy and Pei Ling noticed Feng Qi who was at the back started to move as well. Cindy pulled on Qin Xing's sleeve to block Feng Qi's way.

Feeling the tug on his shirt, Qin Xing turned to ask his girlfriend out of concern, "Cindy, what's wrong? Are you afraid? We can opt out of this if you want."

Cindy shook her head while surreptitiously keeping her eyes on Feng Qi. "It's okay, I'll be fine if you're with me." Feng Qi tried to walk around them but it was already too late.

Pei Ling walked ahead of the group and took the seat next to Jun Yang. In her mind, this felt like the most natural thing in the world, taking the place beside the man that she was meant to be with.

Glad that her mission had been completed for now, Cindy sighed under her breath and quickly hustled to take her seat at the row behind Jun Yang and Pei Ling. Naturally, Qin Xing took the spot next to hers.

This meant that the last of their group to take his seat was Feng Qi. Instead of heading to the last empty seat, Feng Qi stood where he was and stared at Pei Ling. This turned the situation awkward.

Pei Ling acted like she could not sense the man's eyes on him or rather he was so beneath her that he did not deserve her attention. To defuse the situation, it was ultimately Qin Xing who invited Feng Qi to sit next to him, "Dude, why are you still standing there? Come, we've saved a seat for you."

He probably did not want to make Feng Qi feel ostracized, not knowing that was exactly his girlfriend's intention. Feng Qi continued to make his observation before accepting Qin Xing's invitation, he probably decided not to sink to the girl's level.

After the whole roller-coaster was seated, the worker came back to explain the safety arrangement. "Please remain in your seat when the coaster is moving. Do not unlock the safety belt until the coaster stops. Enjoy the ride."

Then the workers stepped away from the rails and the music started to play, signaling that the ride was about to start.

It was time for Pei Ling to put on the act but there was one simple problem in the way… As someone who was highly independent and never needed help from others, acting like a helpless little girl was something that did not come easily to her. It was so far from her true nature that even just the thought of it made Pei Ling feel like vomiting in her mouth but this was something that she had to do to pull off the plan.
