The apple of his eye

Few minutes later they arrived at a firing range arena. Tony walked in and Rin Chan was closely following him from behind.

She kept a safe distance between the two of them, none of them spoke to each other after their clash inside the car.

Two young and pretty receptionists cheerfully welcomed Tony, he was obviously a regular at the place.

The receptionists were as usual charmed by Tony's indifferent demeanor, they both giggle and swoon as Tony asked them for two available booths.

Rin Chan understands how the receptionists felt, she too was attracted to him no doubt about it, but she knew Tony would never look at her more than a comrade.

For she knew who holds the place to Tony's heart.

It was unfortunate that she figured out who it was cause the girl Tony like was indeed lovable and also precious to her young miss.

It was during one of their early missions that she found out about Tony's apple of the eye.

Amidst one of their chaotic battles, a bullet was about to hit her, but Tony jumped in and was the one who got shot, his squad cover for them as Rin Chan dragged him onto a corner.

She place her hand onto Tony's chest, applying enough pressure to suppress the blood oozing out of Tony's wound.

Tony was clearly delirious as the pain heightened, his whole body was sweating and his vision becomes blurry. His breathing started to become shallow, and his strength was escaping his body.

He could feel that he was about go die. In his dying moment one person crossed his mind, the girl who sits with him during lunchtime.

The little girl who smiles despites all of the brutal bullying she received from her schoolmates.

He haven't met her again since the day she transferred out of their miserable school.

He wanted to tell her that he had avenge her, that she doesn't have to worry anymore, no one can hurt her as long as he's around.

That's what he promised to himself, the reason he had chosen a dark path.

It's for her to be able to genuinely smile without her haters and bullies.

Even if it means he wouldn't be with her, it's fine. As long as he knows he get to avenge her.

He wasn't really in love with her or anything, but to him she was his light.

He got through those rough days cause he looks forward to seeing her smile as she happily ate the pudding she unknowingly he had saved for her.

She was his first friend. Although they didn't really establish that, she was the only one who doesn't seem to bother about his appearance that time.

She never judge him, and never made fun of him. And that's why he was very thankful to her.

He found a purpose thanks to her. In his delirious state he finds himself back to the corner of the cafeteria.

Infront of him was the girl that he had never talked to. Not even once, but they ate together everyday.

He smiled, seeing her eating the pudding and for the first time in his memory he called her out.

"Mei Chen."
