Good Samaritan

Tony went out and look up the sky, the sun hits his tiresome face.

He sighed and went inside his car. He held onto the steering wheel and yet he can't get himself to drive.

He called a car wash company and have his car cleaned and towed he remembered Henry peed at his compartment.

He hailed a cab and ask the driver to drive around the neighborhood.

He looked outside the car window, he was deep in thought.

Rin Chan's confession repeats inside his head, like a broken record her voice echos in his mind.

"Tch, I should've been the one to confess."

He whispered. He regrets the time he lost his chance to tell her his feelings.

If only he had confessed first, it wouldn't look like he was just pitying Rin Chan.

He wonders how did she know about his "little bud".

He wanted to tell her that Mei Chen was just someone from the past.

Nothing more. He was just really thankful that she had given him a reason to move forward. He admits that at some point he did love her, but everything change when he met Rin Chan.

He let out yet again another sigh. The driver look at the rear view mirror and suddenly spoke.

"Having a bad day sir?"

The driver asked. He was an old driver yet he still looks energetic for his age. There's a picture of what seems to be her daughter dangling at his rear view mirror.

He looks kind and Tony could tell that he had alot of experience in life.

Tony just amiably smiled at him. The old driver seems to be in a good mood and had shared some words of wisdom to him.

"Mister, whatever it is that you're going through, it will eventually turn out alright as long as you keep on persuading and pressing on. Don't give up!"

The old driver said. Tony just nodded then he instructed the driver the directions towards his apartment.

He pulled out his wallet and handed the old driver a thick wad of cash in which the old driver refuses to take.

"Please take this and treat your daughter to something nice. It's a thank you gift from me.."

Tony insisted. After the old driver heard about his daughter tears well up on his eyes. He accepted the money then thanked Tony profusely.

Tony then notice the bills spread on the dashboard. He read the name of the patient Iza Nam.

A thought suddenly came to his mind. The old driver was having a hard time yet he still spreads positivity towards people.

Strangers whom he thought was having a hard time too. He looks up and wonders about Rin Chan.

He reckoned that he might as well help her heal by showing her how much he love her. Maybe he'll be her salvation.

He could tell with her current lifestyle that she's in the dark. But knowing how stubborn Rin Chan is, he doubt she would ever ask anyone to help her.

"I want to be her light."

He said. He then went inside his house and immediately called the Lee general hospital were Iza was confined.

He asked the nurse about the child's condition and offered full sponsorship to the patient. He asked to be anonymous.

When old man Nam went to visit Iza his wife was crying and told him about a generous anonymous sponsor that mysteriously called the hospital earlier that morning.

Old man Nam cried tears of joy after hearing about the good news.
