Freedom

Tony saw Rin Chan smoking at the back alley of the shop. He hastily walked up to her and snatched the cigarette away from her hand and he tossed it on the ground.

"What the hell?"

Rin Chan angrily said. Tony just ignored her and held both her arms.

"Tell me what's going on.."

Tony demanded. He was trembling as he asked Rin Chan for answers. Rin Chan shrugged him off.

"What is it to you? It's none of your business.. "

She tried to break free from Tony but he hold her even tighter.

"Yes it is!!! Tell me... Are they punishing you because of Sean?!"

Tony looked straight into Rin Chan's eyes. He had concluded that she must've been punished because of what her brother did.

It's the only thing that he could think of. Rin Chan was startled and also confused.

'What does he mean..'

Is what she wanted to ask, but she changed her mind. She's afraid of being disappointed if she heard his answer.

"Why do you always bring up that bastard?!!!"

Rin Chan argued. She knows, Tony was just pitying her and he doesn't really mean what he said.

"That bastard chose to die on the day I left for my mission, do you know how hard it is for me that I wasn't there.. To see him in his last moment."

Tony said. When Sean abducted Tia, he just got a mission from Wesley to settle some minor disturbance in their turf overseas.

He reckoned, maybe, just maybe... things would've been different if he was there for his friend.

He only had people who he considered as his close friends. That includes his five squad members and the Chan twins Sean and Rin.

He regretted that he didn't see any signs. That when Sean sent him a message asking him to look after his sister, he thought that he was just playing some kind of prank.

Rin Chan bit her lips, and inhaled deeply.

"I.. I wasn't punished. My young miss.. She sets me 'free'."

Rin Chan said, bowing her head. She knows Tia was just being kind to her, but to her it was indeed a punishment.

All her life she had been trained just to be a bodyguard. But now that she's been freed from her duty, she doesn't know what to do.

One year had passed and yet she still wanders aimlessly looking for her purpose.
