12 You Dropped Something

When He Fang appeared in front of Qin Guanglin in a light pink dress, Qin Guanglin's brow twitched briefly.

"Why are you looking at me like that? Do I look bad?" He Fang looked at him, puzzled.

"You look great." Qin Guanglin suppressed the urge to see if there was a tail behind her. "What are you carrying?"

She was carrying a paper box that was neither big nor small. It was square and had no pictures on it.

"That's a secret." He Fang flashed a mysterious smile before she turned and walked towards the amusement park entrance.

Qin Guanglin strode forth and caught up with her. In front of him was a back view that belonged to a young girl. She had long, straight hair that fell on her shoulders. On her back was a tiny orange-red backpack, and below was a small butt wrapped up in a long dress. She did not have a tail and no furry ears either.

He had come in advance and bought the tickets, so they entered the amusement park with no problems. Then, they went to the lockers and put all their things inside, bringing with them only their wallets and phones.

"What shall we ride first?" Qin Guanglin looked at the map of the amusement park. "The Carousel? The Alpine Slide?"

"The rollercoaster, the Power Surge, and the Turbo Drop." He Fang seemed to have decided long ago.

Qin Guanglin could not help but look up at her. "Uh… Are we going to go for such thrilling rides right from the start?"

The rides that He Fang had just mentioned were all the major attractions of the amusement park. They were the highest and the most thrilling rides.

"Are you scared?" He Fang looked sideways at Qin Guanglin.

"Huh… Why would I get scared?" Her gaze triggered Qin Guanglin's anger. "Let's go. There are still rides like the Tornado and the Tagada. Let's try out all the thrilling rides!"

He took two steps forward and realized that He Fang was not following him, so he turned to look at her.

"You dropped something." He Fang stood rooted to the ground and did not move.

Qin Guanglin patted his body. His phone and wallet were with him. "What?"

"Me."

"…"

He froze for a moment, but then he walked back stiffly. He held He Fang's small hand and led her forward.

"Mister Qin, you said romantic words to me yesterday." He Fang lifted her small face and looked at him.

"We both said them." Qin Guanglin pretended to be very casual. But his eyes were already looking elsewhere.

"You've improved. I have to reward you." She jumped lightly and came before Qin Guanglin.

"In a place like this… It's bad… right?" Qin Guanglin looked about briefly, feeling a little nervous.

"Alright then. I'll save it for now." It seemed that He Fang really liked to see Qin Guanglin get nervous. Smiling, she continued walking forward.

Qin Guanglin sensed that he had lost to her again. He angrily kneaded He Fang's hand and even stroked the back of her hand many times with his thumb.

How strange. Even the bones in women's hands seemed soft. It was smooth and soft.

"Feels nice, right?" Beaming, He Fang looked up at him again.

"Feels nice." Qin Guanglin responded loudly and crudely, forcing himself to react to her tactics.

"Touch it more, then." He Fang squeezed his hand. In a cheerful mood, she pulled him to the waiting area for the rollercoaster ride.

The rides in Luo City's amusement park were considered the best of the second-tier attractions. It had everything it ought to have. Although the rides were not the best in the country, they each had their unique characteristics.

"Welcome to the Luo City Rollercoaster. This ride is suitable for passengers between the height of 1.2 to 1.9 meters. If you have heart diseases, high blood pressure, motion sickness, seasickness, or you are intoxicated…"

Qin Guanglin entered the ride amidst the operator's introduction. He placed his phone and wallet in a temporary storage cabinet. He Fang then pulled him to the first row of seats, and they waited for the operators to check their seatbelts.

He felt a little weak inside, for he had only been on the kiddie roller coaster until now. It was only about two hundred meters and moved as slowly as a bus. It could not be considered a thrilling ride at all.

According to the introduction in the brochure, this rollercoaster was over nine hundred meters high. There were four large loops, one Immelmann turn, and even a vertical drop. It was a bit frightening.

He Fang turned her head and smiled sweetly at him. She squeezed his hand. "Are you scared?"

"I'm not." Qin Guanglin shook his head.

"It's alright if you are. I'm here." She looked very relaxed. "If you feel stimulated, let it out."

The rollercoaster started moving slowly. It crawled upwards and produced rattling sounds. Qin Guanglin subconsciously tightened his hold on He Fang's hand.

There was a brief pause when it reached the highest point. After that, it suddenly dived so fast that the extreme force and the strong wind made Qin Guanglin breathless. Before he could react, they were already at the giant loop.

"Ah!!!"

All the others started shouting. Qin Guanglin suppressed the thrill as he turned to look at He Fang, while she, on the other hand, screamed with slight excitement and turned to look at him too.

"Ah~!" Qin Guanglin tried shouting once. He realized that it felt good indeed. Screaming released all his anxiety and uneasiness, so he did not continue suppressing them. "Ah—-!!"

Amidst adrenaline rushes and screams, the train of people went through loop after loop. The brief three minutes seemed infinitely stretched. Qin Guanglin held He Fang's hand tightly, feeling a sense of happiness that he had never felt before.

It was a wonderful feeling that he could not explain. He wanted time to stop at that moment forever.

When the rollercoaster slowly came to a stop, Qin Guanglin was a little reluctant for the ride to end.

He Fang's face was slightly flushed. She was also panting slightly. Because of her sweat, strands of stray hair stuck to her forehead. She then turned to look at him. "How did that feel?"

"Very thrilling." Qin Guanglin blankly looked at her face. His heart was still pounding hard, but in a different way. It felt as if his heart had been aroused.

"As long as you're not scared." He Fang smiled slightly as she released her seatbelt and pulled him away from their seats. "Let's go. The next ride."

After walking a few steps away from the exit, she took a turn into a little wood cottage with the words high-altitude photography on it. There was a computer and two printers inside.

"Did the two of you just get down from the rollercoaster? Come see if there are any shots of you." The young chap sitting inside greeted them both. His fingers hit the keyboard a few times, and a picture of them on the rollercoaster appeared on the screen. "Oh, you guys are in the first row."

Qin Guanglin was a little surprised. Did they provide such a service?

The picture showed the moment the two of them opened their mouths and screamed at the high altitude. Their hands were also tightly clasped. The photograph was very clear and showed all their expressions and other details.

He Fang seemed satisfied with this photograph. She scrutinized it briefly before saying, "Let's look at the others."

Hearing this, the young chap reached out to type again. He continued praising the photograph. "The photograph just now was quite nice. It completely captured the sense of nervousness, especially because you were sitting in the first row, and nothing was blocking you at all… Oh, this one's even better!"

Both had eyes on each other as the wind blew their hair back in the photograph. He Fang's mouth was half-open in slight excitement, while Qin Guanglin was screaming. There was a hint of a smile in their eyes.

"Print out this one. Then we'll look at the next one." He Fang immediately decided that she wanted to keep this photograph.

"One or two copies?" The young chap spoke cheerfully. Then, he turned back and shouted to the tourists who had entered, "Don't be anxious. Everyone will get a photograph. One by one, please."

Qin Guanglin was just about to ask for two copies, but He Fang had already replied, "One copy, a large one."

"Alright. One large copy." The young chap repeated after her as he typed on the keyboard. The printer started working and creaked. A photo paper slid from the top tray into the printer before it slowly came out from the bottom tray. It already had their photograph printed on the paper.

"The third photograph isn't as nice as the first two. Do you want to print the first one too? You should keep a souvenir of your outing since photographs are souvenirs. The more, the better. All of them will be your memories in the future."

The young chap put to use his glib tongue to persuade them both to print a few more photographs.

"No need. We'll just take this one." He Fang smiled and took out her wallet. "How much?"

"I'll pay. I'll pay." Qin Guanglin vied to pay, but He Fang turned to glance at him.

For some reason, with just one gaze, he understood what He Fang meant. There was no need for words or additional actions.

Between us, there's no need to be calculative.
