Thunderous chatter exploded throughout the Auditorium as the other students and even the teachers reacted to Ra's small speech, the speaker stood on stage appearing as if his jaw might fall to the floor at any moment, but he quickly recovered and attempted to regain control of the situation.

"Usfur, was it? come forward, let this old man personally awaken your talent." He said. sighing in relief, Ra made his way toward the stage, when he reached it, he leapt, and smoothly landed besided the speaker, as his foot touched the stage various runic characters began to spread out around him in a circular motion, the speaker's eyes were glowing as he rapidly drew arrays in the air, sending them towards the escaping runic characters, at the same time he began combining the arrays bringing the characters together, as the arrays fit together a bright light began to shine within, the light rapidly changed between green and blue, and then pulsed purple, finally the light emitted a dense aura as it shone and contracted, pulsing rapidly as it gradually became silver, the light slowly dispersed, and in its place hovered an Emblem, A 2 headed Dragon pierced by a single sword. "Congratulations, Slayer. No, Platinum Rank Recruit, Welcome to Slayer Academy."

The auditorium erupted

"Did he say platinum rank?"

"I'm confident i heard him say platinum rank!"

"But I thought the highest rank was Gold?"

Discussions broke out throughout the auditorium, everyone thought they must have heard wrong, there had been over 10,000 slayer exams that morning, and not one report of a platinum ranked recruit, even the upper classes only possesed Purple rank Adventurer level Slayers,

"Who exactly is this guy?" they began to ask.

Ra grinned as he listened to the conversations, he liked attention but he wasn't going to answer them, doing so would take far too much time, he knew his talent was high, his magic affinity and magical aptitude was revealed when he was born, before she died his mother would tell him the story of his birth, how he was born encased in fire, crying tears of ice, he knew she must be exaggerating but the story made him proud nonetheless, Ra was suddenly struck by inspiration, he was a show off after all, hovering slightly above the stage, he encased his body in fire, and at the same time, condensed a longsword formed of pure ice, flying upwards he began to draw in the air, a miniature battle began to form as creatures of fire and ice engaged in battle upon a frozen field, knights clashed atop tamed beasts of ice and flame, guardians erected massive walls with shields, as spells flew above their hands falling from the sky like endless meteors, the Recruits watched this scene in awe. Suddenly, Dragons descended from the sky, and the two sides stopped their fighting, seemingly have a tacit understanding, as one, they turned to face the dragons, hurling fire balls and spears of ice, the dragons quickly fell, and the scene faded and dispersed.

The auditorium erupted with cheers at the conclusion of the battle, and Ra descended from the stage with an immense grin plastered to his face.
