2 How (un) lucky

Alright everyone, buckle up for a heavy ride. When I say that I made changes I mean a lot. Firstly my OC Akito's appearance changed (cuz I don't remember the old one ) personality is the same. Second is how the plot goes at the start. Really different than before. Like fr. Also for the romance part, I'll take before suggestions but as it goes on, the romance might wear out or smth. Anyway, let us enjoy the first chapter. Thanks for staying tbh.

Btw, early update cuz tmrw I have work to do so I can't be on time- enjoy it tho

The stars shone brightly in the sky, it looked like it was painted by god. He liked staring at the sky during the night. It's always clear with no clouds, it made him as if there's nothing in the world he should be worrying about. The thoughts always disappear for some reason.

The cold wind caressed his face, his body leaned on the balcony rail. His fingers fiddled with the cigarette on his fingers as he huffed out smoke from his lungs. He wished the moment would last longer but today was the last countdown. He had to fulfill his wish.

He was never the person who was dedicated to completing things but this one wish deep inside him might be the only thing that he has ever done willingly.

He put out the cigarette and tossed it away. His feet led him back to his room. There's barely anything inside his room except a few boxes filled with his things and his bed. He turned on his phone, picked a song he liked, and turned on a bit loudly.

The music starts to play, he hums along with the tune as he heads to the bathroom. The bathtub was running with warm water. He dipped his body inside the water, the song played inside his head in a loop.

Sometimes I wanna die and I act on all my impulses

I dont wanna die alone

I don't really wanna die at all

but sometimes I can't control myself

and by then I want to kill myself

He lets out his breath and drowns himself inside the bathtub. Water entered into his lungs and nostrils, he forced himself to not go back up to the surface. He couldn't breathe and he was drowning, just as he wanted. Dark spots entered his vision and soon he blacked out.

He ran through the forest with a swish, his consciousness was slowly dimming, and his chakra was running low but manageable. Suddenly, he detected faint chakra nearby. He was pretty sure it was where the Naka River was. A frown made its way to his lips as he considered to check or leave it be.

He then huffed and tossed a coin, caught it, and opened his palms out.

Heads

Lucky person, he thought sardonically as he ran towards the Naka River. He hopped onto the tree branches and looked around.

Then he heard a hoarse voice hacking out coughs and panting heavily. He hid himself and observed the person whether he was an enemy or not.

It was a kid that looked around 10 years old, wearing an oversized t-shirt and shorts. His whole body was wet as if he swam inside the river. The kid had no weapons on him, there were no holsters or pockets to store them.

The kid had white blueish hair but his hair roots were brown, slightly tan skin, and cognac eyes. The kid muttered something incoherent and lay on the ground.

The man jumped down from the tree branch and walked up to him.

"Tell me your civilian ID number" He ordered him.

The kid burrowed his brows and spoke out gibberish words. The man frowned and ordered him to speak clearly but then the kid fainted, his chakra was dimming rapidly. He frowned and let out a tut, the man carried the kid, hoping he'd get information right after this. He ran back faster, both of them required assistance.

Once he got to the entrance gate, he was stopped by two guards. He looked at them grimly.

"Yamanaka Kiharu, ID is 544670. Back from a mission, in need of assistance ASAP"

"How about the kid?"

"Unknown"

The guard nodded and allowed him in, the man ran straight to the hospital, medic nin greeted him and immediately got ready to heal him when she saw two males injured badly.

The kid woke up with a gasp hacked out a cough and let out all the water in his lungs. His body shivered, his whole body was wet and his shirt felt heavy on him.

He was on the ground, soaking wet and out of energy. All he could think was that he was alive. He felt like crying for some reason.

He plopped himself on the ground as he tried to control his breathing. Then a man walked up to him and said something to him in a foreign language. He could barely understand what the man said, the situation was too overwhelming for him.

" I can't understand what you're saying " he mumbled hoarsely.

The man spoke up again but before he knew it, he fell into a deep slumber.

When he woke up again, he was in the hospital. It was expected, his attempts never managed to reach success before, so it wasn't that surprising. Still disappointed though.

His body shivered coldly but his body felt hot and warm. It's probably fever, he concluded.

He tried to move his body but it was as if there was a restraint that made him unable to.

It wasn't the first time so he let it be. It would be a waste of energy if he struggled to let himself out. His room was dark, there was no light. Maybe it was nighttime? He thought to himself.

He doesn't know how long he stared at the ceiling with dazed eyes. Then his attention shifted towards the sound of the door creaking open. There was a guy in dark clothing along with a woman behind him wearing all white, which is unusual clothing for a nurse in a hospital. Usually, they wore a scrub suit, based on what he remembered He never received visitors before, so that made him question more.

The man walked up to him and said something in a foreign language that he recognized. It was Japanese and he could understand what they said but he's bad at talking in the language itself. He grimaced when the man ordered him to speak out his name with a gruff voice.

"Akito"

"Last name?"

"None"

The man nodded as the woman behind him scribbled on the clipboard.

"ID civilian number?"

Akito blinked at that question, he was shitty at remembering things.

"I don't remember "

His answer made the man frown.

"What village do you affiliate with?"

Village? Like the town I live in?

"Uhh... Hamburg?"

Oh, it's getting bad. The man furrowed his brows, was he angry?

"Speak truthfully"

Akito starts to wonder what town he lives in because of the man's question. So he answered

"I don't know"

The man stared right into his eyes as if trying to find his dark and deepest secret making Akito uncomfortable. Then the man huffed out a sigh, then turned around and went out of his room which made Akito question more inside his head.

Like who the fuck just barged into a room, ask a few questions threateningly, and then went out?? More than that doing it to a mentally ill patient- yes, he's pulling that privilege card.

He shrugged off the problem from his mind. He's wondering why the fuck his body felt so heavy, he couldn't lift a finger. He's also having a fever but is that bad? Seriously? He drowned himself wouldn't result in this.

All Akito could do was be annoyed that he's living just to suffer all over again and planning for the next attempt- probably after a few months until he's clear to go. Which is exhausting to wait.
