It had been almost a month - technically had been 3 months, including his restrained and interrogation time - since Akito has stayed in konoha.

Akito somehow managed to rope himself to work with the hokage sometimes with his paperwork. As much as Akito despises doing it, the payment he got was quite well.

Akito can't just live off with Daisuke's salary and live as a freeloader. He had to pay them back in any ways he could - after all, debts are meant to be paid back with anything equal to it.

After all this hectic is done, he'll just say goodbye.

Sometimes, Minato thinks that Akito is a genius. Minato had tried to solve a mathematical question that was involved for the finance, Akito had given him a simple format for him to solve it, and it took less time for him to figure out. Minato tried to compare his method with Akito's, and the result was the same, except Akito's was faster and easier.

He thanked the sage for sending him a helpful teen who's good at handling paperwork and whatever math fuckery is.

Honestly, Akito was better at handling this than a Nara could. Though Nara couldn't be bothered that his position as Hokage advisor was taken over by a brat.

"Do you think we can change what is meant to happen?" Akito asked out of the blue.

Minato hummed before asking, "What made you ask that?"

Akito stayed silent. Akito couldn't exactly answer Minato's question since it involved him and his wife dying due to the fox and his own student.

Not that Akito wants to interfere with the event. He simply wouldn't want to see a blood bath and people dying in his eyes.

He's a human with his own morals. Not a human with none. He also doesn't want the high possibility of death in the hands of them. He'd rather die in the way he wanted.

"I suppose, if it's worth changing and it's possible, then you are free to change fate. If the outcome was not as you wanted, then improve the situation or make it better. "

The blonde hokage gives him an answer.

Akito considered his answer before speaking again.

"Say, do you want to make a bet with me?"

Minato blinked, his gaze flickered towards Akito's, interested with the kid's bet, "About what?"

Akito gave him his usual stone, cold face. "It involves our own lives"

Minato gave him a grin. "Shinobi always gamble with their lives, I don't mind hearing it out."

Who knew that the man who's always innocent and bright as the sun was so daring with their live, Akito thought. Or maybe Minato is just trying to see if Akito was going to betray him.ñ

"If we both live, you win. You win, you'll command me all you want and I'll obey in a heartbeat. If you died, while i live, I win. If I win,you need to do something for me." Akito spoke up.

Akito then felt something sharp and cold against his neck. There was definitely someone behind him.

"Inu, stand down and back to your position." Minato ordered the man behind him.

Inu twitched, clearly didn't want to leave, but he had to, so he nodded and followed Minato's orders. The blade that was pressed on Akito's neck gave him a slight cut. Blood seeped out from the cut. Akito didn't bother with his injury and instead continued with his explanation of the bet that they were going to make.

"I'll explain it further. I know that you're going to die soon. " Minato gave a look as if he was going to question, but he let Akito speak more.

"I'm not involved or going to kill you, I simply know that you'll die soon, and I'm not going to be specific on how. Though I will help you try to win on your side, it's leaning more to you dying while i don't. That's why I say if we live, you win." Akito took a breath before carrying on his sentence.

"If you lose, then I want you to do a favour, which is command people to not make your son known and remain anonymous. Also, make a letter which is signed by you so they know it's not fake."

After listening to Akito's words, he decided to agree, but before that, Minato asked, "How are you certain that I will die, and how do you know?"

Akito really didn't want to answer those questions, so he tried to stay silent.

"Is it related to the previous question you asked? Changing fate, was it?" Minato pressed further.

Akito frowned. He didn't expect him to be that sharp.

Minato huffs, knowing that he won't get the answer. "Well, since you're not going to answer that, then tell me why do I need to make my son anonymous?"

Telling some parts wouldn't change things, right? Oh, who he was kidding, of course, it will change.

"I'll answer one of those questions. Which one of the questions do you want to be answered the most?" Akito finally gave up.

Minato contemplated for a moment.

"Tell me, how do you know that I'll die soon?"

Minato finally decided.

Akito stared at Minato's sky blue eyes. "I watched you die,"

It wasn't a lie, Akito watched Naruto on his television since he was a child. Akito had gone on an illegal website to watch Naruto on Japanese with German subtitles because he kind of hated the German dub in his early teens. Not that it matters.

"Is that a threat?"

"No, it's a forewarn. Besides, if I'll try to help you survive, you do have a slight chance of winning, and warning you to be more on guard is also an upper hand of you winning the bet."

"You said it leans more towards me, resulting in death. Why bother helping me into winning when you know you'll win immediately?"

Akito huffed out his breath "Well I'm a person with morality..... and I wouldn't want to watch a person i know die the second time. "

Minato gave a grin at Akito. "I know you like me."

Akito frowned at that statement. "Hell no, you only like me because I can handle this paperwork for you. You should be glad I didn't ditch you and let you suffer. "

Minato gave a chuckle. Akito almost fell for the blonde hokage. Who allowed god to create that man looking so stunning. Too bad, he's taken.

"Do i know who am I going to be fighting before i die?" Minato asked Akito all of a sudden.

"Well... you do know them, but they're dead to all of you." Akito retorted

Minato furrowed his brows. "I need details."

"I can't," Akito denied. Minato inquired as for why, and Akito reasoned, "If I do, then my life will be endangered. I'd rather die in the way I want and not be killed by people who think i can predict the future accurately. I also don't want to be used because of it. "

"What if I force you?"

Akito was silent for a moment. "You won't, and if you do, I'd kill myself before you get the answers."

Sorry for ending the chapter like this, but I really don't know what to do for the next chapter. So choose people, I have ideas for both ways.
