10 Chapter Eleven

Kenzie

I ran as fast as the wind and my legs could take me. Hearing those three words honestly scares the hell out of me after what happened to my parents. I can still hear Corey yelling for me to stop and come back but I just keep running. I ran until I tripped over something. I sat up to see what I had tripped over and it was a picture frame. 'That's weird; what is a picture frame doing out here in the woods?' So naturally, me being curious, I picked it up and turned it over to look at the picture and dropped it as soon as I did. it was a picture of my ex Christopher and myself while we were together, before things got really bad.

"What the hell is this doing here?" I probably look and sound crazy. Here I am in the middle of the forest talking to myself while holding a picture that I thought no longer existed. I heard a noise coming from the tree to my right so me being curious yet again I looked up and before I could say or do anything a hand was over my mouth and within seconds everything started to turn black and all I could think was 'Damn, my curiosity got the best of me and now I am going to die like that stupid curious cat.'

Christopher

I hear her running, I know it's McKenzie because of her smell. That bitch thinks that just because she moved to this shithole state that she was rid of me for good? I think not! I followed her here because honestly if I can't have her then well no one can. Not even that stupid ass mate of hers and he's supposed to be the next Alpha....Ha. I could kill him in my sleep.

She is close, now's the time to set my plan into action. I place a picture of us next to a tree and climb like hell as she comes closer. As she comes closer, she's not paying attention like always, and tripped over the damn picture frame. I knew she would look to see what it was and realize that I was here. So I started to descend from my spot in the tree and a branch snapped and she whipped around fast but I was faster and had a chloroformed cloth over her mouth. "That's right, love, I'm here and you are coming with me. There is nothing you or your precious mate can do about it because now I have you and you will be mine whether by force or willingly. You will be the mother of my pups and do as I say." I know that she has no idea what is happening to her but I have no problem repeating myself and if she gives lip, which I know she will, I will punish her like I did in Texas.

I hear a twig snap and whip around with McKenzie in my arms and see her goddess forsaken mate, Corbin or something like that but I could care less, she's mine. I know he hasn't noticed me yet so I leave a note prewritten and ran like hell. It is just a matter of time before he catches her sent but thankfully my scent mask hers. I left the picture frame and the note laying on the ground and we were gone from site and within a few minutes, we were out of the Midnight Blood territory.
