Axel managed to piss off one of the Demon Generals, Sofia. In retaliation, she turned Axel from a hotblooded adventurer with an awful ego to a troublemaker little boy. She then tasked an elf, Meira, to re-raise Axel to curb his ego and teach him some manners. Now as mother and son, Meira and Axel start a new life together in the sleepy town of Lille. Is Axel strong enough to survive this humiliation, or will he succumb to the demon's plan?
"This place is a joke…"
Axel Willowkin's boots echoed off the cold stone floor as he made his way through the dungeon. The quest from the Lille Guild Hall was to capture a dark magician that has made the dungeon their home. This is an A class request, but the D class Axel was the first one to accept. If a quest has a chance to make him look good, he's taking it!
The walls were dark and held together by thick, ancient pillars that lined the walls. It used to be an ancient mansion, but that time was long gone. The stone was freezing against his fingertips when he brushed past it. His messy blonde hair fell into his eyes, but he ignored it, more focused on the flickering torchlight on the walls that lit the halls with a warm glow.
Alongside the walls were a few doors, but almost all of them were locked. Axel had thought about blasting them with his signature [IGNIS FLASH], but he decided that it would be a better idea to do this last. "That witch's head comes first." He muttered under his breath. He continued pushing forward without a care in the world.
Axel barely had time to react when the air around him shimmered, and a dark, swirling magic circle appeared beneath his feet. "Shit!" he said, shocked. Skeleton Knights began rising up from the circle, one after another. Their dark armor clanked loudly, their eyes glowing with an eerie, soulless light.
"Dark Skeleton Knights? That's it? " Axel gripped his sword tighter, a flame sparking to life in his other hand. "Easy. [IGNIS FLASH]!" He launched a fiery blast at the nearest knight, flames roaring through the narrow dungeon. The skeleton staggered back, its armor searing, but it wasn't enough. More kept coming.
Axel gritted his teeth. This wasn't good. He swung his sword, slicing through the air, but for every knight he knocked down, another two seemed to rise. "That fucking witch is cheating," he growled, frustration boiling over, "FIGHT ME YOURSELF COWARD!" He felt the weight of his attacks start to slow, the horde of knights pushing him back.
In the midst of the chaos, Axel's boot hit something on the floor—a pressure plate. A low rumble shook the dungeon, and for a second, his heart sank. "Oh shit" he muttered, eyes widening. Before he could react, the ceiling above gave way to a flurry of spikes.
They fell with a thunderous crash, raining down faster than Axel could process. He braced himself for impact, but instead, he heard the sound of bones shattering. The spikes didn't hit him—they hit the skeletons. One by one, the knights crumbled, their armor impaled and brittled until they were nothing more than scraps of iron and bones.
Axel blinked, catching his breath as the last of the skeletons fell. "Like I said." he muttered with a smirk, glancing around at the wreckage. "Easy."
As he marched on, the hallway reached an end, and a rather intricate door stood in front of him. Slowly, he pushed it open. "Finally, not locked for once." The dungeon opened up into a larger room, dimly lit by more flickering torches. Though the main attraction was further in.
Chained to the far wall was a woman—a stunning elf. Her long, golden hair cascaded down her shoulders, shimmering even in the dim torchlight. She wore a white turtleneck dress, snug against her frame, the fabric clinging to her ample breasts and curving over her wide hips. Her bare arms were smooth, resting at her sides, bound by thick, metal cuffs. The aura around her was soft, almost inviting, like she was meant to be somewhere cozy. She slowly opened her eyes to see the adventurer standing at the door.
"Jackpot." Axel smirked. Immediately, he started making his way to save her. All it takes is one blast of magic to break those chains.
The woman's chains clanked as she tried to back up towards the wall. S-Stop…I-It's a…" she muttered with a broken, yet angelic voice.
The moment his fingers grazed the chain, a flash of purple and pink light exploded around him. "What?!" Axel yelled. A surge of magic then shot through his body as magical bindings wrapped around his wrists and ankles, locking him in place. He thrashed, trying to pull free, but the harder he struggled, the tighter the bindings became. "Damn it!" Axel cursed, fire sparking in his palms, but the magic binding snuffed it out immediately. He yanked his arms again, but it was no use. He was stuck. He eyed the elf for help, but she seemed to be ignoring him.
"My my~" sang a sultry voice from the hallway, "Look what we have here~"
"Tch…" Axel scoffed. "Let me out, you coward!"
"No, I don't think I will just yet." she laughed. Axel's eyes snapped toward the entrance, and there she was—the main threat of the quest. She stepped inside with a slow, deliberate grace, her sleek black hair falling perfectly over her shoulders, glistening like midnight. Her black gown hugged her figure, accentuating her large chest and wide hips, and she wore an open coat with a luxurious fur collar, revealing her cleavage. Her eyes were a deep, piercing purple, glowing faintly in the dim light. They seemed to see right through him, like they knew every secret, every weakness he had. A pair of sharp, curved demon horns jutted from her head, adding to her oppressive aura. Axel knew exactly what he was dealing with, the moment she revealed herself. "Demon General Sofia, at your service. "
"So a filthy demon is behind all of this?"
"Congratulations, you figured it out!" Sofia said, clapped sarcastically, "Though, I thought the Lille Guild Hall would send someone a little more…stronger"
"Bitch!" Axel snarled. "I'm strong! I'm the strongest in the guild! Those weak skeleton knights you sent to attack me? They were nothing."
"Ara, that's an ego." said the woman, shocked.
"Only a weak coward would fight with traps and summons!" He continued.
"It worked on you though, didn't it?"
"Shut up!" Axel's face then morphed into a very punchable expression as he stared down Sofia. "Of course the demon lord wouldn't let you fight beside him on the frontlines! He sent you to rot far away in a sleepy town, didn't he?"
Sofia's heels clicked softly against the cold stone floor as she approached Axel, her gaze never leaving him. She stopped right in front of him, towering over him with a faint smirk playing on her lips. Slowly, almost teasingly, she lifted one hand. Axel's throat tightened as her nails hovered near his neck, the sharp points just brushing his skin. "You have a big mouth, don't you?"
"You can't kill me." Axel choked, "The moment I break out of this trap, I'll take your head!"
Hearing this, Sofia paused. She then eyed the elf woman chained to the wall, who seemed to notice her attention. "Hmmm~" she giggled, "I like you."
"Huh?"
Without warning, Sofia whispered a few words under her breath, and a dark, swirling magic filled the air. Axel watched in shock as a translucent, purple collar materialized around his neck, runes glowing along its surface. At the same moment, another identical collar appeared around the elf's neck, locking in place with a soft click. A magical chain linked them, humming with ominous energy.
"H-HEY!" Axel stammered, trying to shake off the collar. "What is this, you filthy demon?!"
Sofia's smile was cruel as she stepped back, admiring her work. "A little spell I've perfected."
Axel's body suddenly felt heavy, like the energy was draining from him, slipping away faster than he could control. His legs wobbled, his vision blurred for a moment, and the fire that usually burned inside him flickered out. He felt weaker with every breath, like he was losing himself.
Meanwhile, the elf, still chained to the wall, gasped softly as a soft glow appeared around her. Her posture straightened, her once-tired eyes widening as if she was suddenly filled with new life. The energy that had drained from Axel was flowing directly into her, and he could see it—her strength returning, her body radiating a newfound vitality. It seemed like she was ascending.
As Axel's energy continued to drain, something even more disturbing began to happen. His body felt… smaller? His armor, once snug, was now loose, and his sword felt heavier than it had just moments ago. Panic surged through him as he looked down at his hands, watching in disbelief as they became smaller. In tandem, his legs became thinner.
His blonde hair, already messy from the fight, seemed to hang awkwardly over his now-rounder face, his clothes almost comically oversized. He looked up at Sofia, his breath quickening. "S-Stop this at once!" His voice sounded higher, more like a frightened little boy. Sofia simply giggled at the response.
He glanced at the elf, who now seemed bigger, more imposing in comparison. She glanced back at him, with a confused look on her face. After releasing the exhausted little boy from his magical prison, she strolled casually toward the elf, who looked up at Sofia with newfound energy in her eyes. Her chest rose and fell calmly, her once-weary body now radiating with life.
"Meira, are you feeling well?" Sofia asked the e;f in a smooth tone, though the cruel amusement still danced in her eyes.
Meira nodded, her long blonde hair swaying gently as she shifted. "Y-Yes…but" she replied softly, her voice carrying a hint of surprise at her own restored strength.
Sofia smirked, stepping closer until she was right in front of Meira. She began to inspect Meira's body with a slow, deliberate touch. Her fingers traced lightly along Meira's bare arms, then moved down to her sides, lingering at her hips. Meira squirmed, the touch sending an involuntary shock through her body. Sofia chuckled, clearly enjoying the elf's reaction, "You definitely seem well~" Her fingers danced over Meira's waist and hips before moving upward, brushing against her chest. Meira shifted again, unable to suppress a small giggle this time.
Below them, Axel watched with rage. The body that he had spent 19 years perfecting was now gone and replaced with the body of a manaless, strengthless, weak child! He hadn't noticed, but a single angry tear streamed down his face.
"Now then." Sofia clapped, stepping backwards. "The spell I had used is one that I myself had created, called [SERVUS VERTO]. I didn't have a chance to use it until today~"
"I don't care!" snarled Axel. He tried to be the bigger man, but it just looked stupid with his now childish face. "Change me back!"
"Aren't you a cute one?" she giggled at the sight below her. "The spell essentially drains mana and life energy of the doner, giving it to the receiver. At the same time, the receiver now has full control over the doner—similar to a master and a slave."
"Miss Sofia…Meira spoke, her voice soft and clear. "What reason is there to create that spell?"
"That….I cannot answer." Meria said, obviously trying to shift the conversation.
"Fuck off." Axel scoffed. "I'm not becoming anyone's slave. I'll just run away the moment I—ACK!" Axel felt a shock on his neck. He looked down to see that the magical collar had reappeared, its runic marks glowing.
"I wouldn't suggest that~" Sofia chuckled. "If you were to betray Meira in any way or form, that collar will reappear and tighten—until you are dead." Axel placed his hands on his neck, hearing that. "And you, Meira. If anything happens to Axel…the same thing will happen to you."
"T-that's awful!" Meira gasped. "W-What shall I do?!"
"Don't worry." Meira giggled. "I have some land and a nice house that I bought on the outskirts of Lille. I want you two to live there, not as Master and Slave, but as Mother and Son!"
"W-WHAT?!" Axel yelled.
"A mother and son?" Meira added softly. She eyed the panicking boy below her. Seeing him, something inside of her just…clicked.
Sofia then bent down to Axel with a smug look on her face. "Someone has to humble that ego or yours." She said, flicking him on the cheek with her finger. "So, be a good boy and listen to Mama Meira, okay?"
"H-HEY YOU BITCH?!" Axel yelled as Sofia got back up. "THIS AIN'T FAIR YOU FAT DEMON, I'LL END THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL AND—"
As Axel continued to throw a tantrum, Sofia ignored him, summoned a bag of gold, and handed it over to Meira. "This should be enough for a while. I'll also give you a few more items when we arrive at your new home, and will check in from time to time."
"Is that so?" Meira said. At that point, she knew exactly what she needed to do. There was a softness in her expression as she approached him, her bare feet making no sound on the cold stone floor. Without a word, she knelt down behind him and gently wrapped her arms around his small torso, pulling him into a warm, comforting embrace. "There there, it's okay." she cooed into his ear. "I will take care of you~"
Axel tensed immediately, squirming in her grasp. "What are you doing? Let go!" His voice cracked with frustration, but it wasn't the same fire he usually had. His tiny fists pushed at her arms, but it was no use. She was much stronger than him now. Despite his protests, something about the way Meira held him made him pause. The warmth of her body, the steady rhythm of her breathing—it was oddly soothing. His squirming weakened until he finally relaxed in her arms, leaning back into the soft comfort as he fell asleep.
"Wow, you may be better at this than I had thought." Sofia said, applauding Meira's actions. "I was originally going to use you for ransom, but this seems more fun!" Meira then instinctively picked the sleeping Axel up, who was almost weightless in her grasp. She let him rest upon her shoulder, as she swept his hair with a smile. "Teach him good manners and raise him to be a strong man, okay?" she giggled. "I know you can do it."
"O-Ok!" Meira grinned, trying her hardest to hide her excitement. "I shall!"
