1 Chapter 1: Where am I
Life isn't always perfect but that's why I'm happy to have a way out. Video games have been my way out of things for a long time and it's not the worst.
Even when I dropped out of school, this has been worth it. I never had good reasons to stay in that boring classroom all the time. My parents didn't like the idea of me dropping out, but it seemed to be good for me in the end.
My grandparents on the other hand supported me greatly and because of them I've been able to keep up with these newer games. The newest one is the game I've been grinding the most.
My name is Mika Izuko and I'm seventeen years old, I'm addicted to games and am very well known for my nickname in the pvp world. The Reaper, or bringer of death, Grim even if you please.
I've worked my ass off and grinded like no other, I'm now investing into a new game called "The Heroes of Mito Kingdom!" which isn't bad.
It just came out a few days ago and I've been grinding it since it dropped. A game about heroes being summoned to defeat a demon queen!
The world itself is awesome, you can start off almost anywhere so there's plenty of opportunities to grow. I always liked starting off somewhere peaceful so I had a chance to grow over time.
The plains outside of Mito seemed nice so that's where I began my journey.
It was a pretty awesome concept and I've gotten to level 285 already, these games I take very seriously. I'm number one on the leaderboards too.

Seeing my username in the first spot makes me pretty happy, of course I'm gonna keep going to keep that spot but you get the gist of the leaderboard now.
I haven't slept in a few days now but if I stop I'm sure someone will surpass me. Time to load up the game.

Finally got everything loaded up time to continue the grind, even if it's exhausting. Still a shit load of fun regardless.
A few hours of gaming go by.
As I'm fighting a boss I slowly start noticing everything getting darker. Was it always this damn dark in my room?
I could feel my head slowly lowering onto my desk, I guess I'm being forced to go to sleep after all that hard work. Shit! I can't, I gotta save!
Bam! The sound of my head hitting the table was all I could hear before passing out.
After a little bit I finally woke back up but I wasn't in my room anymore. I looked around and noticed it was a field in the middle of nowhere.
The grass fields around me felt familiar though, almost like fields of Mito where I first picked my spawn. Am I really dreaming about the game right now?

What the hell is going on? This dream is so realistic, it's almost like I'm actually in the game now. Not that I mind since it's just a dream after all.

This is really just like the game, it's insane how spot on it is. Though my level has increased quite a bit, I don't think it was that high previously.
I open up my hud to see I still have everything I had before, all my armor, weapons, potions, and skills. This is awesome but damn.
After that I looked at my arms and realized I wasn't wearing anything from the game but my actual clothes from when I fell asleep.
That's a bit strange but we'll see where this goes I guess.
I started following the path to the Kingdom and it took a good hour or two but I finally got there.
"Hold it right there! What's your business here?" Said a knight as he blocked the entrance.
"Um I'm here to see the King." I replied while looking around the gate.
"The King has a lot going on, what is it you need to see him for?" Asked the other knight.
"I'm here to save the Kingdom." I responded while looking at the other knight.
"Hahahah, you're a summoned hero then?" Questioned the knight as he laughed.
"Yeah I guess." I said while keeping calm.
An npc just laughed at me, what the hell is going on? how realistic is this shit gonna be.
"Go ahead in Hero." Said the knights as they opened up the gates.
The inside of the Kingdom was absolutely beautiful but damn I don't remember it looking this good in the game. Actually it was really awful and the King was a corrupt bastard.
Whispering from the people was heard all over the square and it really didn't make me happy.
"Is that really a hero?"
"How did a peasant get in here?"
"What a waste of a summon"
"Probably summoned by a witch"
Thanks to my high skills I can hear everything and it's just pissing me off.
I just continued on my way towards the King, a decent walk up the steps to the throne room. God why can't I just wake up already.
I opened up the doors and saw multiple heroes in there besides me.
"Guess I'm late to the party." I said while looking at everyone.
"Are you a summon?" Asked the King as he looked down at me.
"Yeah it seems so." I responded while looking up at him.
"My King I don't think he was summoned by us, it had to be a witch!" Said one of the heroes.
What the hell is he trying to start shit for.
"That's what I was thinking to, he should be executed at once." Responded the King while signaling his guards.
"Are you fucking serious? what is this shit!" I questioned while yelling at the King.
"I'm sorry about this Mika, it's the hard route but it's the only way you'll believe it's real.." whispered a sad voice.
What does that even mean, hard route? this is real? This dream is really tripping me out.
"Fire!" Shouted the King.
Regardless I need to go! I turned around and quickly began to run towards the door before feeling a barrage of arrows enter my back.
It hurts really fucking bad..
drip. drip.
Why does the pain feel so real!?! what is going on!
I tried to stay standing but could feel myself losing consciousness once again...
Thud!
My body hit the floor and all I could see was blood slowly surrounding my body, if this is real, am I about to die..? It all feels real and I feel so tired.
"I'll save you for you're the true hero Mika." Whispered a voice before a flash of light is seen.
"What is going on?!?!" questioned all the Heroes as they're blinded by the light.
"I knew it was a witch!!!" Shouted the King.
Before they knew it Mika was gone and just a puddle of blood was left.

I wake up to this damn message, where am I..
"I'm sorry I know this is all confusing to you Mika but this world is suffering and you were the best option." Said a female voice as she pulled out an arrow.
ah shit!!
"Where even am I!?!" I shouted while in pain.
"My Home, I summoned you. I know this was probably all fake to you but it's real. I'm also going to help you catch up on things " Said the woman as she kept tending to my wounds.
This is insane, I really just about died by arrows? What is going on here?!?!
"Okay I can only believe it's real because there's no way I'd imagine this damn pain." I responded while laying there.
"It's going to be a lot, but just to clear things up, they think I'm evil." Said the woman as she patched my wounds up.
"Why do they think you're evil?" I question.
"I'm the daughter of the former Demon lord." She answers.
