Doubt her intention

After everyone was settled down with their feelings, Serene stood up to leave. Soham might be done with her discharge papers also she herself wanted to go out soon from the awkward environment. She has never been between elders before. She didn't know how to talk to them with respect but in a friendly manner. How does that even work?

"I think i should take my leave now." She smiled at Ayesha's parents meekly.

Seeing Serene leaving everyone felt flabbergasted. They thought she would stay with them for dinner at the least. Moreover what she had done for them, they will be indebted to her their whole life. They can't let her go without making up to her with something.

"Serene why do you wanna leave so soon? Stay for dinner. My brother will send you back safely." Ayesha looked expectantly towards her.
