1 Chapter 1

The morning of no return started when Mina was finally proactive for the first time in months.

It was her sophomore year of high school and she really wanted to try for a change. "I can do this" was her motto for the moment.

Mina lived right near the park and it was a prefect place for her to exercise.

Wearing an over-sized t-shirt and sweatpants she started jogging. A few minutes into her jog she heard a slight groan coming from the woods. Ignoring it she went ahead, then she stopped, it couldn't be helped she was a person of a nosy personality. Though she herself didn't like getting involved in dramas or things like that, she loved gossips.

First the first time in her life she couldn't put into words how she felt in that moment but she knew one thing and that was that she wasn't scared. Ok, maybe just a little bit terrified. She had discovered, a man paralyzed on the floor and next to him lay a disgusting bug like monster. The monster was as big as a truck, and had a sinister like aura. It looked like a queen ant with longer limbs and it was several times more horrifying than a real queen ant. The disgusting monster was chewing on the upper body of another man. A terrifying expression could be seen on the man's face, his dulled eyes was indicating he was dead if not for the faint movement of his chest.

Mina felt warm liquid coming up her throat, threatening to come out. She forced herself to swallow it and she felt sweat starting to from. Mina was physically shaking and she felt her feet wobble. Questions after questions went through her head, feeling that she was starting to have a headache she stopped. At the critical moment she was calm, she felt it would be "ok" and then she started rationalizing.

The monster hadn't notice her movement, probably too caught up in eating. She slowing and steadily went towards the paralyzed man. Up close, under his skin, purple veins was sprouting everywhere, he was probably poisoned. It was a very disgusting site, reaching over and pulling the man up within her range slowly and pulling him over her shoulder, she slowing backed out. Making sure to take one last glances.

By chance she made eye contact with the soon to be dead man. He was still alive, and with all the power the man had left he mouth out thank you. Mina nodded and backed off. She had to use every cell in her body to do so.

The man she was carrying was a full grown adult while she wasn't, plus she was a female with a weaker built. She had to calm her heart and breathing and it felt like her back was about to break. She slowing made it out of the woods, only when made it back to the walking trail did she start running - with the man. Later she would feel the pain, but she didn't regret it.

With a sad look in Mina's eye she sighed. She was really upset and sad that she wasn't able to save the other man, but it couldn't be helped. Half of his lower was already eaten and the chance of him being saved was close to none. His last words were "Thank you" and he closed his eyes, forever.

After resting for awhile she still hadn't caught up to her breath. This was the fastest, furthest, and the most she had run in her whole life. Just kidding it wasn't.

Suddenly a portal opened up right next to her. People in black military looking outfit came out marching and surrounded Mina and the unconscious man.

Mina felt a prickly sensation on her skin and immediately was knocked out unconscious.

"Sir, what do we do to her?" Shouted the man in black military uniform to another man who looked to only be in his early twenties, wearing a white uniform. "Take her back for testing" said the man without even looking at the other man with the back uniform. "Yes, sir" said all the men in black uniform in unison. "Sir, how 'bout the level 7?" Said the man in black hesitantly. "Don't worry about it "said the man with the white uniform, after that he ran into the wood at an unbelievable speed.
