We Trust You

The trauma that Alexei had gone through all those years was still fresh in their minds and the losses were a reminder of how much they had changed. It was a reminder of their struggle to come back home, their fights, and a reason to be proud of the scars they had gotten over that period.

It had taken a while for them to heal especially with the bonds broken. It had even taken longer for them to adapt to the lives that humans led, but they had to. They didn't have a choice anyway. The attack all those years ago was still traumatic for them and they were still trying to find ways to believe that none of that shit would happen again.

Sure they had leaders who cared, but they still needed to be reassured. They needed to believe and be reminded that they were safe every once in a while. The warlocks had settled had gotten ready to welcome their leaders.
