Accountability

After the war, everything pretty much seemed to go back to normal. Carl and Darius were carefully treading, though there were times when they would go back to who they always were. The tension was still existent, but at least the magnitude was a tad bit smaller this time around.

It was safe to say they were doing well as was expected of anyone who had undergone what they did. The people of Alexei had recovered their glow, they were happier, smiled more, and generally, they had everything to be happy for.

Zeynep had gone back to the south to live there despite Hera telling her it was okay for her to live in the palace, but the old woman was adamant. She knew that witches were not easily accepted in Alexei and her being accepted was enough for her.

She didn't want to overstep her boundaries. Of course, Hera had made it a habit to go to her and stay with her for some time then get back to the palace.

Everything was good.
