Friday Sadness

Mr Baek:(smiling)I knew you'd come visit  me.

Soo Hyun: I'm not here to visit you.

Mr Baek:I'm still glad you came.Get me out of here son.

Soo Hyun: (chuckles) You really have no shame do you.

Mr Baek:I swear I didn't do anything.

Soo Hyun: Don't act like you're innocent.

Mr Baek:I am...I might be a womanizer and bad role model but I do love your mother...I could never hurt her.

Soo Hyun: So why did you keep her in the drug induced coma then.

Mr Baek:I didn't keep her in the coma.She was in a coma.Thats what the doctor said.You can ask him yourself .

Soo Hyun: I don't know which doctor you used but my doctor told me the truth.

Mr Baek: Soo Hyun you have to believe me!

Bong Soon: Which doctor was it?

Mr Baek: Dr Wong .I got him at the hospital your father works.Please believe me dear.

Bong Soon: I can't believe anything you say yet.

Mr Baek: But dear...

Bong Soon: Why did you murder Mrs Chan?

Mr Baek: Mrs Chan?

Soo Hyun: Don't act dumb

Mr Baek: I didn't do anything to her.I didn't do anything to anyone.Why would I harm my close friend's wife.

Bong Soon: I don't know. You tell me.

Mr Baek: Child please believe me.

Bong Soon: How can I believe you?

Mr Baek: What motive would I have?Plus wasn't she murdered by that man who committed suicide in prison.

Bong Soon: Awe you mean the man you paid to take the fall then murdered him in prison?

Mr Baek:(frustrated)  I never paid anyone!Bong Soon:(chuckles)A well trusted source heard the man you hired .You thought you'd tied up your loose ends by killing him but we have our witness.

Mr Baek:What have I done that you would think so little of me?

Soo Hyun: You seriously have the nerve to say that.

Bong Soon:What I want to know is how you are  connected to  Mr Shin?

Mr Baek: Why would I associate with him.That man is capable of more than meets the eye.

Bong Soon: (intrigued) So you do know something .

Mr Baek:I know what everyone knows. A man who can kill for money is a man who can do anything. We still don't get how your grandfather dealt with him.

Bong Soon: How about the Woo's?

Mr Baek: (confused) Who is that?

Bong Soon: (frustrated) Argh we're seriously not getting anywhere.

Soo Hyun: Lets just leave

They exit the room

Bong Soon: Do you think he is lying?

Soo Hyun :He seemed like he was telling the truth.

Bong Soon:So what now?

Soo Hyun: I don't know .We'll just wait for my mom to wake up.

They get to the waiting room.

Myung Soo: How did it go?

Bong Soon: Horribly .

Min Ho: How come?

Bong Soon: Mr Baek doesnt seem to know anything about anything. It's either he's a really good actor or he's telling the truth

Mr Cho: I told you who's behind all this.

Bong Soon: Okay let me go home and snoop around then we'll regroup tomorrow .

Soo Hyun: Okay sounds like a plan .

Bong Soon: Remember be very careful .If he killed that nice lady who knows  what he'll do to us.

Min Ho: Don't worry we can take care of ourselves.

They exit the police station. Mr Cho goes to get their car  .

Bong Soon: That's me bye guys

She walks towards the car

MEANWHILE...The boys discuss their situation

Min Ho: I don't feel good letting her go with that man.

Myung Soo :Me too who knows which side he's really on .

Soo Hyun :Let me call her back....Bong Soon!

Bong Soon who had just opened the door to her car ,looks back smiling.

Bong Soon:What!

Min Ho : Come back there's something we need to tell you!

Bong Soon: Arghh what is it now.Wait here Mr Cho I'll be right back .

She closes the door and as she walks from the car towards the boys Mr Cho switches off the engine then "bam"

The car explodes and Bong Soon who was only a couple steps away is affected  by the explosion. Her almost lifeless body lies on the floor whilst 3 young men charge towards.

Officers rush out of the station and onto the scene.The fire fighters and ambulance arrive at the scene .She's rushed to the hospital where the press is already waiting for her.

The guys follow her and wait in the emergency room waiting area

MEANWHILE ....Mr Kim is in his office

Assistant: Dr Kim there's an urgent matter .

B.S dad:Can it wait I'm about to go home.

Assistant: Your daughter is here

B.S dad:(smiling)  The little thing missed me .Send her in.

Assistant: She's in the Emergency room .

B.S dad:What!?

Assistant: I'm sorry sir she was in  an accident

He rushes to the Emergency room

Random Nurse :Doctor Kim you can't go in there!

He barges into the surgery room where he sees his lifeless princess lying on the table getting operated on

B.S dad:(crying)Princess!

The workers drag him out and into the waiting room where  his wife has just arrived

B.S mom: (crying) Honey!

B.S dad:(crying)My Princess

B.S mom:(crying)  Tell me she's alright

Mr Kim just cries out loud and sits on the floor .Mrs Kim joins him and they hug each other.

The Boys who were already broken get even more shattered and cry with the Kim's.

Hours later

The doctor comes out of the room .

B.S mom: Tell me. how is my baby?

Dr Jung:She's is going to be okay.

They all sigh in  relief

Myung Soo: Can we see her?

Dr Jung: Not  yet ,she just had a big surgery. She had some internal bleeding  and she's got some broken bones.She still hasn't regained consciousness and we don't know if her brain has suffered any damage.

B.S dad:So when can we see her?

Dr Jung: She's still in a critical condition but once she's transferred to the ICU she can have one visitor at a time.

B.S mom: My poor baby

Myung Soo: (hugging her)Don't worry my Bong Soon will pull through .She's going to be just fine .

B.S mom: Thank you .Thank all of you.

Min Ho: You don't have to thank us.

B.S dad: Why were you at the police station anyway?

Soo Hyun:We'd gone to visit my father.

B.S dad:Look at where being Nancy drew has gotten  my little princess.

Min Ho: Don't worry we'll make sure to get to the bottom of this.

Suddenly Mr Shin arrives  and the boys glare at him.

Mr Shin:I'm sorry about what happened to the young Miss.There's alot of evil in this world.

B.S mom: It's okay there's nothing we could've done .At least she's alive.

Mr Shin: Awe...Well she's very lucky then.

Myung Soo: (looking straight at him) Yes very luck

Mr Shin: (looking back at him)Well it's too bad Mr Cho didn't make it.Now I'm going to have to prepare for his funeral.What a shame.

B.S dad:I can only imagine how his family must be feeling.

B.S mom: He worked for my father for so long and even worked for us.We'll take care of his family as he took care of ours till we die.

Mr Shin :That's a nice gesture. I will inform his family. Good bye .

As he's leaving he runs into Shin Won Ho who is rushing towards the boys. He doesn't even acknowledge Mr Shin who looks at him like a grandfather  yearning for his grandson' s love.

Won Ho :(out of breath) Is she okay?

Myung Soo: She's okay.

Won Ho:I was so worried about her.My parents had taken me with them on a business trip.What happened ?

Soo Hyun: Her car exploded.

Won Ho: How?

Min Ho : We're not sure yet.

Soo Hyun' s phone rings

Soo Hyun: Hello...Whats wrong....What!....Okay  I'm coming.

He ends his call as tears start falling down his face

B.S mom:Dear what's wrong?

Soo Hyun: (crying) My mom....

Min Ho: (worried) What's wrong?

Soo Hyun: (smiling )She just woke up.

Myung Soo:Oh my gosh Soo Hyun

 B.S dad:Thats great news,you should go to her .

Soo Hyun: But Bong Soon ...

B.S mom: She's got more than enough people she's needs right now.

Soo Hyun: I still want to be by her side like she stood by mine.

B.S dad:(smiling )Knowing my princess she would  want you to go to your mom even if she has to chase you away.Go ahead son .

Soo Hyun: Okay ...please tell me if anything happens.

Min Ho: Wait I'll drive you there.

Soo Hyun :Thank you.

~ Soo Hyun' s place~

They arrive and the doctor is waiting for them downstairs.

Soo Hyun: Where is she?

Doctor:In her room.

He runs upstairs and opens the door.He looks at the smile appearing on his angels face.

Mrs Baek:Soo Hyun!

He rushes to her bed and hugs her

Soo Hyun:(crying)I thought I'd lost you

Mrs Baek:(crying) Me too.

Soo Hyun :I missed you.

Mrs Baek:Me too.Now stop crying and show me that handsome face of yours.

Soo Hyun: You too wipe those tears off your pretty face.

Mrs Baek:How can I not cry when my son wasn't even here when I woke up.

Soo Hyun: I'm sorry mom  something came up.(sad)My friend almost died today.

Mrs Baek:(worried)Which friend?

Soo Hyun: You don't know her.Her name is Bong Soon.

Mrs Baek:I know her.I heard her the day you found me .

Soo Hyun: You could hear us.

Mrs Baek:Yes I could hear everything .

Soo Hyun: Wow...

Mrs Baek:Mmm so do you like this girl ?

Soo Hyun: Yes I really do.

Mrs Baek:My son has grown up.You used to hate it when I mentioned any girls you liked.

Soo Hyun: Aish...

Mrs Baek:(laughing) There's my boy.

Soo Hyun: I've got someone I want you to see

Mrs Baek :Who

Soo Hyun: Come in!
