5 5 : Someone Like you

When I opened my eyes the those words echoed in my ears.

" I don't need you anymore"

It's still repeating in my head. This was the second time I'm seeing the same dream . And why does those words so hurting me. Who is that man and why did he said that . It's still nigh and I'm not sleepy anymore. I don't think I could sleep rest of the night.

Next morning I decided to take a leave from office. Eventually I made up my mind to face everything. So I gathered all my courage and went to office .

The first one I saw when I reached the office was Jess . She ran towards me and hugged me tight. That surely gave me some energy and I'm sure that she was worried to hell.

Friend in need is a friend indeed.

" Thank god your safe " she released me from Hugging and looked at my face

" B*tch why didn't you pick up my call" she pouted

"I Was worri...Whaaaaa ..you look like a panda " she touched my face .

Of course, I couldn't sleep even a blink because my vampire boss and that stupid dream.

" Come with me " she dragged me to the changing room and put some make up on my eye bag.

Narrators POV

After the make-up session Sam went to confront her major crisis, William Alder.

She fearfully knocked the door and entered the office room . But it was empty . She sighed in relief and began to arrange the table and files.

Suddenly someone grabbed her from behind and even before she could understand the situation she was dragged in to the secret room.

Sam POV

What what what what.

Without looking I know it's him . My boss, William Alder moreover A VAMPIRE.

What is he trying to do. Am i going to die now. Am I going to die sucked out all of my blood. The last day of my life. I wanted to say good bye to Jess I wanted to eat chicken.

When he finally released my hands I quickly used it to cover my neck . He turned and looked at me and raised eyebrows in confusion

" What you think you are doing"

" I ... I won't allow you to drink my blood i don't want to die sucking whole blood from my body" I cried in between the words and tightened my hands that covering my neck.

I can see that his face muscles that are slowly relaxing .

" Hahahahaha hahahaha" he suddenly start to laugh. I stared at him with confusion because it's the first time I'm seeing him laughing like this . His triangular smile made Butterflies in my Stomach.

" D... Die w...What are you talking about" he laughed in between. I stared at him the whole time. When he realized that I was staring at him the smile on his lip diminished. What a waste. Wait am I disappointed.

" Ahem... Look Sam I'm not going to kill you and I don't kill humans "

" T... Then what about the woman yesterday .. Y..You sucked her blood and killed her right " I asked in confusion.

" I told you I won't kill human . Well I just need some of their blood that's it . Don't dig more and just do your job"

😑😑😑Fine but I'm still confused . Is all the stories about vampires is just fiction . This stupid fantasies 😒😒😒.

" Now call a woman I'm hungry "

Whaaaaaaaa. How it come to this . All those woman's were actually his food. And now I have to find prey for him. All this time I thought that his woman's are for complete his pleasure but now it all flipped upside down. And I the so called non sexy secretary turned as his personal dieter.

" What are you doing do it fast ....Or." he turned towards me and came closer.

" .....do you want me to drink your blood" No f*ckin way . I backed and covered my neck with one hand. Then called one of his woman quickly and confirmed her arrival.

"Sir Ms. Rose will be here in 10 minute's now please excuse me"

I bowed and move towards the door without waiting for the reply.

He suddenly pulled me from back and whispered

" Don't worry Sam I will never ever going to drink your blood because I have my standards "

It gave me pain in my neck and I'm pissed

" I will make sure that you won't do it...EVER.."

I glared and left the room as fast as I can .

"It's been a long time . It's time visit Will"

Narrators POV

After that incident in the secret room (you know what it is 😅) Sam avoided William by all means and tried hard to not meet him alone. Enter with other managers and tell everything she have to report him in one breath and leave the room along with them . It continued for the rest of the day.

Next morning.

"Why isn't any of the managers are visiting him today . I have to handover this schedule to him" she mumbled with a worried face.

"Good morning Sam is chairman inside"

Sam POV

I turned to find the owner of that voice. Holy Mavis Director Peter . Thank you god for sending him now.

" Yes director. Your on right time actually. Please follow me"

I knocked before opened the door

" Sir Director Peter is here " he was working on the PC and gestured to enter without looking.

While they are talking I quickly made a coffee for them and arranged the schedule and other necessary information that is needed for the rest of the day. I bowed and left them to have their professional talk.

After one hour director Peter left the room with a huge smile on his face . I bowed and wished him a good day . After he leaved i sighed and checked my phone to know the time.

" 12:58 pm whoooooa it's almost lunch time".

I tried to call Jess suddenly but as interruption the office phone rang and I got startled.

" Sam come inside" my hungry tummy ran along with wind even that betrayed and left me alone in this situation.

I took a deep breath and knocked the door. Then opened the door slowly with a plastered smile on my face.

I walked close to his table and raised my head to look at him. only then I found out that he was not in the chair. I scanned the room and finally found him leaning toward the wall besides the door that i just passed. My heart beat increased as it was running for it's life.

I tried to smile and ended up in an awkward facial expressions.

" Are you avoiding me" he asked while looking at me.

I bite my lower lip and asked my mind to find some excuses.

" No sir I'm ..... You misun...". Before I could finish my sentence he started to walking towards me . My voice wavered in fear and I took some steps backward.

" Sam i already told you I won't drink your blood . Someone like you is not my choice "

when he said that I felt unexplainable tension in my heart. Why do I'm in pain I should feel be happy in those words right . I kept thinking without realizing that he is getting so near.

Narrators POV

As William reached so close to her he lifted his hand but he stopped it in halfway and pulled it back before it touches her face .

" You can leave" she surprised in his words and bowed before walking towards the door with a dumbfounded face . When she was about to leave he again said

" Remember one thing you are my secretary. Do your jobs perfectly and don't make me regret my choices"

Sam POV

When he said that I felt more uncomfortable feeling in my chest. I closed the door and walked towards the cabin. Simultaneously my phone ringed and it was a call from Jess.

" Sam where are you there is only 15 minutes left to end the lunch break"

" I'm on my way " i ended the call and quickly walked to the cafeteria.

Jess POV

When I finally found Sam walking towards me . Her low spirited face escalated my worries.

"Sam here" I waved at her. She gave me a faint smile . She sat next me and started to eat without looking at me.

I got hyped. I slammed my fork on the table " tell me Sam what's it "

She got shocked in my action and looked at me with a face that about to cry .

I calmed down myself and sighed.

"Ok ok don't cry and spit your all dam worries. Tell me Sam if you share, it will become less"

Sam POV

I know she is worried and ask me to talk. I said her everything about my worries related to job except the fact that my boss is a freaking vampire.

She gave little but sweet pat's on my shoulder.

"Sam I felt so happy when I found that you got promoted . I know how much struggles you experienced and you overcame all that with your own strength. So believe in yourself . I'm sure you can do it"

These are the words that exactly i wanted to hear. I felt like half of my worries are gone.

I hugged her tightly .

"Thank you my bestie "

While walking back to the office after filled my tummy i felt more confidence and courage than before.

" I will make him regret what he said"

I clenched my fist to the sky fighting

" Sam! are you fighting with the Air"

I jumped in shock with the sudden voice and got even more shocked when I found an incredibly handsome man behind me . And more than that he called me by my name ....he knows me.. *blush*
