3 Chapter 2: Power isn't Everything, it's How You Use It

The smashing fo ball echos across the gym.

Akatsuki looks at every single regular's movement, from the start of the day. Even the habits they have had been recorded in Akatsuki's head.

From the start, analysing all the different muscles they have, which is stronger and weaker, was the key to knowing the main, often role the regular plays in games. Knowing all the roles gives an advantage in finding holes and linking behaviours to create a tactic suitable just for him or her.

20 step is the max of each plan. This is how the Sopra Family was able to fight. A simple 20-step plan that stops your enemies quick enough. Only the ones that are able to fight against them over 20 steps are either really skilled, who will end up joining the Sopra Family; the person who is using it is weak or hasn't constructed it properly; or they are abnormal and are monsters, who deserve to die.

Looking at Ushijima Wakatoshi, Akatsuki can piece together the behaviours during break and lunch, and the performance he is doing.

"CRASH!"

Such power and force released on to this one spike. Ushijima is truly a monster.

Or is he?

A mischievous smile creeps on to Akatsuki's face. She can no longer hide her sociopathic side's coldness and carelessness. A hole of light appears from the darkness. She found a way to receive the powerful spike of the Ace.

"Now you see our Ace's super spike, what are you going to do?" Classmate A asks proudly, sounds like he had won a bet already.

"Oh, nothing, in particular, I just want to receive Ushijima-san's spike. I want to test out a theory I come up with." Akatsuki smiles innocently.

"Receiving his spike? You're kidding me. That's just impossible!"

"Just let me try, okay, my classmate? If you made me hate you, I might as well lose control and accidentally kill you, you know."

"Ah..."

Akatsuki slowly stands up, walks to the other side of the court.

"Ushijima-san, I want to test out something. This 'something' is receiving your spike."

Murmurs in the group of regulars.

"I suggest you give up on this. It's not gonna work."

"Yeah, newbie."

"You're not even a regular yet."

"Okay, shut up. I'm making a bet. If I receive Ushijima-san's spike, I have a right to join as a temporary assistant coach or even the temporary manager of this team. However, if I didn't receive it, the punishment is up to you to decide."

"Well, I think the greatest punishment that you will get first from this bet is humiliation," Tendou Satori teases.

"Oh? I don't care humiliation. And you're nothing compare to a monster, Tendou-san. The people who teased you and said that you're a monster had never seen a real monster before."

"Like you've seen the real one."

"Oh, but I did. I have some relatable people that are monsters. The thing is, you never know they have monsters until you see their other side."

Satori falls silent.

"Now, shall we get to this bet?" Akatsuki's eyes gleamed with bloodlust, "Since I hate you all, I want you all to die."

These words made all of the people in this room shiver. She sounds serious like she really wants to kill everyone here.

"Okay," Ushijima replies.

Serve, receive, receive, set and...

Ushijima smacks the ball down with pressure and power, but that doesn't take any effect on Akatsuki.

In her eyes, she thinks nothing of them.

In her eyes, they're just nothing but some tools and toys for manipulation.

In her eyes, they are just pieces of s**t. They don't mean anything.

3 steps in this plan.

1 pivot back.

1 move to put the two arms in receive stands side to the left side of her body.

1 swing when the ball's in front of her.

The ball goes over the net.

Drops rapidly.

Down.

"BANG!"

The ball hits the ground hard.

All went silent.

"So my theory did work, huh. I told you, idiots, that that power isn't anything to me. The only thing that makes the power of Ushijima's spikes is how he uses it. All I have to do is to aim, swing and hit. The power Ushijima gives this ball gives me an advantage. So your Ace's technique is f**king impressive, but I can receive it easily. Now, this is shame on you, Shiratorizawa Team.

"But it's fine! I based all this on researching your behaviours. It also gives the team an advantage as well because if I have done some research on your opposing team, I will be able to create a costume-made plan for each and every individual player to put pressure on them. No one can stop Shiratorizawa now. Unless you decide to not listen and leave me alone."

Everyone's still in shock. Even the coaches.

"Motherf**kers, I'm leaving. By the end of next week, I want an answer. Then we have at most one week to make plans. I'll do thorough research on your opposing team later. See you then, suckers!" Akatsuki laughs and walks away casually.

Time Skip

The time limit is up, and the team decides to ignore. For normal people, it will surely be upsetting to hear that, but to Akatsuki, that didn't matter at all. She got rejected plenty of times that she doesn't have some feelings anymore, such as shame, guilt and remorse.

The warm smile she put was merely a mask. Her heart feels nothing. Nothing at all.

2 weeks passed since she came to this school, and now it's time for her to leave.

So she left.

No regrets, no sadness, no emotions at all.

She left to leave the Shiratorizawa's team in shame, fear and guilt.

Manipulating Shiratorizawa: Check.

Akatsuki smiles.

I'll make it more miserable for you later, Shiratorizawa.

-----

Yo, what's up?

I, uh... Yeah. This character is kinda unique in some way because I get to write in a person who has a broken heart, is a sociopath, and unable to harness emotions anymore type.

The hardest thing to believe is, I might be a sociopath without noticing...

I don't know, maybe I am, maybe I'm not, but I barely feel shame or guilt anymore so...

But I do have a friend who thinks "I'm a psychopath for sure" kinda thing. We are kinda best friends...
