The Summerset Ball (Queen Elesha)

The Summerset Grand Ballroom was decorated in gold drapings and the strategic placement of flower bouquets in ornament vases located throughout the corners of the ballroom,in various colours as though to usher in the summer time. Under candlelight, everything and everyone glowed and the ballroom radiated a warmth as guests poured in. Some laughed and conversed animatedly in groups, couples danced to the music played by the orchestra in the centre and the long banquet tables covered in white silk cloth had so much food such as tarts, cake, pudding and pastries. The tall glasses of champagne were constantly being replaced or refilled by menservants dressed in their formal black and white suits.
