Fused

Li Zhang stared at his ceiling while remembering what happened to him yesterday. Lots of fighting, learning about Suria and even becoming a Master librarian.

Li Zhang was still trying to wrap his head around everything. Though, he let off a calm smile, just when the sun started to leak into his room. With the sun now shining, Li Zhang threw off his covers.

Revealing his black uniform, The uniform glowed in the sun. Getting up, Li Zhang took a hot shower and walked over to where Suria was. The Suria was indeed a book, but she was a unique one.

Li Zhang was about to pick up the book but remembered that Suria can see every move he makes. He quickly moved his hands back.

"Suria?"

The book didn't respond. Li Zhang thought that Suria was somehow sleeping. When he was about to walk away, Suria spoke.

"Li Zhang… I was doing some research on your body last night."

Li Zhang stood still, silently listening to Suria.

"Anyway, you are compatible with me very well. Usually, Master Librarians are only 30-50% compatible. But, you… You are 98% compatible. Meaning you are almost able to completely release my true power."

"True power?"

"Yes, True power. Now with you being 98% compatible gives you certain special privileges. Including me being able to fuse into your body."

Li Zhang's eyes widened a little bit after hearing what Suria said. Li Zhang sorta understood what she was talking about, but didn't get it completely.

"Fuse into my body… Like, become one?"

"Yes, Pretty much I'll be in your mind and body till you die."

"Nope. Not happening."

"W-What? You don't want to become the most powerful person in the universe?"

Li Zhang looked at the book with content in his eyes. Li Zhang was thinking whether or not to fuse with Suria. Several angles flew into Li Zhang's mind.

He was thinking of the pros and cons of fusing with Suria. On the plus side, he would become extremely powerful. Which was one of his goals in life.

Though, on the negative side, he would be stuck with Suria for the rest of his life. He knew that high-level cultivators lived for hundreds of years and didn't know if he was going to be able to live with Suria for that long.

To Suria, living with Li Zhang for a couple of hundreds of years wasn't too hard. Considering she has lived for billions of years, a couple hundred years wasn't going to faze her.

Li Zhang finished thinking about the pros and cons. He was still slightly on the fence on whether to fuse with her or not. He decided to ask a couple of questions.

"Suria… If I fuse with you, how powerful will I become instantly?"

Suria didn't speak for a moment.

"Instantly? Not too powerful, but over time with you learning how to become a Master Librarian you should reach a pretty high cultivation realm for the Mortal Realm."

"Suria… You know who I am right? You know how I act, and what I do… Correct?"

The book lit up purple.

"Yes, I'm well aware you enjoy killing. I myself have gotten to enjoy it after so many years of living."

Li Zhang imagined that she was smiling if she had a face.

After thinking for a couple more minutes, Li Zhang decided it was time for him to Suria an answer.

"Alright… I'll fuse with you."

"Great!"

The book started to slowly float into the air. The purple light started to become immensely bright. Causing Li Zhang to shield his eyes, the book moved closer.

Li Zhang's chest started to tingle a little bit. Li Zhang tried to look down, but couldn't see because of the bright light. His chest started to tingle more and more as the book moved closer.

Finally, Li Zhang could feel the book make contact with his chest. The sound of burning filled his eyes. Although he didn't feel any pain, the book was burning itself into Li Zhang's body.

His black uniform was being burned through, the book was halfway merged inside of Li Zhang. The purple light started to fade away, Li Zhang was now able to see the book.

The book was almost completely inside of Li Zhang. He moved his hands about to touch the book.

"Don't!"

Li Zhang moved his hands away after hearing Suria's voice in his head. After a couple of seconds, the book was completely fused inside of Li Zhang body.

"Out!"

Li Zhang's vision began to blur, a slight rush of energy entered his mind. Li Zhang started to fall back, moving back a couple of steps. The light in the room was getting darker and darker.

He could hear a faint voice calling his name, but he couldn't tell where it was coming from. The whole room turned dark, leaving Li Zhang to fall onto the floor.

Blood came out of his mouth and nose, leaving a small blood puddle below him.

1 Month later

Li Zhang opened his eyes for the first time in one month. Looking around he was on the floor of his hotel room. There was a dried pool of blood below him.

Scratching his head, he got up to look around. He remembered that he just fused into Suria.

I must have just fell asleep, for a day.

"Li Zhang!"

A sharp voice entered Li Zhang mind. The voice was Suria.

"Li Zhang, you actually awake… I thought you weren't ever going to wake up."

Li Zhang turned his head slightly, wondering what Suria was talking about. He remembers just fusing with Suria than falling to the floor because his vision becomes blurry.

"How long was I out for?"

Suria didn't respond, she kept quiet.

"How long?"

Li Zhang asked again hoping to get a decent answer from Suria.

"Y-You were asleep for one month."

"One month!"

Li Zhang couldn't believe it. How could he have been asleep for one month and not die? How did no one come in and check his room, he's been on the hotel floor for one month and no one noticed.

"How? What happened to me!"

Li Zhang was very angry at the fact that he was asleep for so long. He didn't know what to say.

"Well… After you fused with me… I used a huge portion of your mana. The mana you had was turned into true power. And… Well, I forgot to turn off the ability… So, every time you regenerated mana it was taken away instantly."

"Y-You bitch!"

Li Zhang walked over to a small desk in his room and threw a hard punch downward. The desk was shattered into pieces, small bits of wood flew in all direction.

Having seen this, Li Zhang walked back a little bit.

"W-What?"

"Ah… Li Zhang your power as increased quite a bit. I believe you are now the cultivation base of Martial Sky..."
