1 Chapter 1 Disturbances

The two fought as though their lives depended on it. Ajax and Ellis were so invested in their discussion, they had not noticed their Captain walk in with Bella at heel. The stood at the top end of the table and crossed their arms.

"Ahem"

They continued to argue, paying no heed to the world around them.

"Ahem. If the two of you have quite finished, the meeting is about to start." The Captain spoke with a heavy French accent to the men sat at the table.

"Yes Captain."

The two settled down, glaring at one another.

" I have found six subtible jobs that need doing. The vary , some boring , some more... let's say, enjoyable. Take whatever stance you wish. Your personal opinion as to whether or not to do it matters not to me. I do understand Ellis that you will complain no matter what , must be all that blood thirst. But understand this, if you want some money from it, you will have to do it. "

Ellis momentarily looked from Ajax (who he was staring daggers at) to The Captain. "Of course. I cannot promise I will not complain though."

"I would expect nothing less." The Captain stops for a moment, " we will also have to ensure we have food enough to support ourselves and to repair the castle. The ceilings and walls are dodgy. I have already had numerous cases of leakage."

The Captain gestures around the room. "So I have decided our first course of action will be -"

"Excuse me m'lady. There is someone at the bridge demanding to see you." One of the guards interrupts.

He was out of breath so he had evidently ran from the bridge to the hall halfway across the castle. This grabs the Captians attention. She looks up and prepared to see whoever it was. She was sure word could not travel that fast to her and her band owning a castle. They had only been there for 2 days. No one had seen them move in she was told.
