18 Premature Awakening?

Ling Xi's POV

I don't remember the story even mentioning my mom's clan ever. They are either the bystanders of this story since no information is given or they are all dead from the very start. But i don't have any clue now so there's no point in racking my brain in them. I can just ask mother later. What's more important is the 3 lights.

They are all shining like a diamond above but the one in the middle outshines the rest. Its the golden one and i can feel the heat it radiates,i know that the red one signifies my fire power but this one is tenfold better even if they are all above me and nowhere near.

"I don't remember any affinity that has a golden color or is this even an affinity?"

"Could it be a lightning?"

"Where am i really? Is this like a void space or just an imaginary place where i see these 3 and do whatever i want?"

I can feel the surface and things here,im pretty sure that this is not me imagining things. I imagine the lights to come closer to me and they actually did.

Slowly descending,i open my hands for them to land and like an obedient child they just follow whatever is in my mind. As they sit comfortably in my hands,the pressure they give off intensified making me slightly uncomfortable but its nothing unbearable. I stared for it for awhile then command it to go back inside me like they did before. Unlike the first time,they did this smoothly and almost like it doesn't want to hurt me.

It fascinates me how they submerged perfectly inside me and even if they do, the void stay lit. I don't know if the lights come off my body or if its just there. Even if they carefully tries occupies a space in my dantian mingling with the Qi that i don't know was even there in the first place, i still feel a discomfort from their pressure. I can feel the red and blue starting being steady but the other one starts to give me uneasyness as it remain shaky and show signs of being wobbly.

At first i feel a slight sign of unstableness and i tried controlling it. It feels like an eternity each second passing by and i am also exhausted mentally.

Sweating profusely and my breathing even starts a difficult task,i can't back down now.

"Why is this taking so long? Aren't the first two do just fine? Why are being so harsh on me,little sun?"

"I feel like im about to reach my limit but it also started showing sign of tranquility. Just a little longer. Don't let me fail please."

She doesn't even know the consequence of not being able to tame the last pearly gold light.

"I-i can't take it a-any longer. Come on...be a little more obedient ah."gritting her teeth and enduring,Ling Xi collapsed inside her void.

Ling Huoshan's(Right Minister) POV

Its been more or less than a month since my little Xi fainted. Other than the Crown Prince and my family,no one really know what happened after the Third Prince's stunt. I ask the Crown Prince to keep it a secret for now. I know the Emperor and the other forces will be curious but i can still stall some time.

Xi Er body may or may not currently cultivating or just the effect of whatever happened that day. And i can already tell that this may cause too much trouble in the future.

This might give a good headstart or an unstable cultivation.

What's important is saving my dear daughter. My little girl is just 5years old and even geniuses or proclaimed son and daughters of the heaven,can not cultivate even in another 5 years. God only knows what happen next and my gut is giving me uncleared signals.

Futhermore,she doesn't show signs of waking up until now and its even for alarming to see the violent fluctuations of Qi around her in the first week of my baby's coma. His highness even felt the sting while carrying her back but endured and brought her inside the manor and ask for Imperial Doctors to see her condition. Hope they are trustworthy.

As for the citizen's curiosity and his Highness,Emperor, asking what happened,i can only cover things up stating that the two decided to play outside. The sensation is just caused by Crown Prince himself as well as the title of the Third Prince and First Young Miss of our residence.

Giving the idea of something off,it implicates the two a couple of times higher than if the his Highness doesn't react in such way. The others think that something big happened which is true but they don't need to know that. I need to busy myself researching for a solution for our little angel to gain conscious again. When im about to step outside Xiao Xi's room,i heard an almost inaudible call from my behind. It sounded so small like a kitten whimpering but it gave me a fright and surprise more than a hundred times higher than if ever a tiger roars at my face.

"Baby girl,slow down eating you may choke in your food. They are not going anywhere." Ling Xi just nodded her head but still devours her food like a cavemen.

Wei Shi is beside her and she's shaking her head. That night,the couple decided to ask their little girl what happend that night in the banquet.

"Dage wanted to go out so Ling Xi accompany him. Then we arrive at the river but then Dage acted weird when i ask him if he also know the Ling River."

"Ling River? So its your not first time going there. Could it be that when you sneaked out of the manor,you ventured there? In which side of the City it is located?" I don't think i ever heard any Ling River in the whole Imperial City after my long decades of living here.

"Daddy,Yi Ge is the one who brought me there. And I think its in the East-South? But im not so sure,Ling Xi is not very good in directions."

I turned my head to one of the servant behind us. "Tell the guards to locate where that Ling River is and give an all around info of the landscape and such."

"Little Xi,what happened after that?"i felt my wife's hand slightly pinching my hands under the table while she asks our kid.

I know she also felt that something is amiss.

"Qing Ge keeps on nagging me when did i ever know that place and i feel scared when he grips Xi Er's wrist so i struggled to get away."

"He apologized after and let go but because Xi Er is scared,i steps back a couple of times. I doesn't notice that im already at the end of the slightly elevated plain so Xi Er fell in the water." Ling Xi shivered at the memory of her falling.

The water is not really deep,she's just small. It is just about below the waist of Qing Gege but its enough to drown her to death.

"Because Ling Xi struggled too much in just a fraction of time,this one inhaled a mouthful of water and then blacked out after."

The pair of parents look at each other as if talking throught their eyes. They decided to let Little Xi rest early and tuck her in bed.

The Minister is thinking deeply as they wall in the hallway to their bedroom.

Xiao Er is brought here with dry clothes and hair. The Crown Prince also said that he saw a blinding light not so far from them and the other Prince holding Ling Xi when he arrived.

Turns out Third Prince saved little Xi or he wanted us to believe that..?... As its easy to cultivators to dry or clean things with a flick of their fingers so as making invisible force to push or trip other with a string of Qi without the other noticing depending on their skills or the others naivety.

But what's the motive? What benefit could it bring to the Prince?

Its not that surprising for my angel to be dry from head to toe but how about the light?

Does it have to do with that Zhang Yi Qing? That is the only logical reason behind this,Xi Er is only a kid so Qi is a foreign force for her and its not as easy as eating the absorption of Qi. One needs to meditate deeply and control it accurately for it to circulate flawlessly in the meridians and lastly,storing it to the dantian.

That is an exhausting work for cultivators especially the absorption to the dantian,others can't even medidate correctly so they takes more time and resources to complete the process. Little kids are not even halfway qualified,their heads are unfocused and playful so its no use intrying in early age. It may help a little in staying focus but for how long? Only geniuses and elites can contend in these ideals and start no matter the age is but the best ever known is a 10 year old kid.

This is a very good time to widen the gap to others. Even if its just a few months,a headstart is still a headstart. Even a day is precious. Averagely, kids in 12 of age can start their cultivation but the formers' talent surpassed them massively. Since they can start cultivating in younger age,they have more time in familiarizing one's self in the process and here lies their biggest advantage.

They had a little bit more to easier time in circulating the Qi as well as to breaking through. But since they are very young than the average cultivator they have a higher risk in suffering backlash or over-absorption if their body is not tampered enough for their cultivation stage.

This can be solve by strengthening one's physique before cultivating or breaking through. The unstableness is lessened and the resistance to backlash consequences is decreased by leaps and bounds. They are many physique to choose but the only available in the markets are Mortal Grade Physique Manual which is the lowest grade. It can help young cultivators from Qi Condensation Stage until Foundation Establishment Realm. It is the cheapest and easiest so it is still acceptable but as one progressed in their cultivation from Novice to Pinnacle and have a breakthrough,it becomes useless after just the second stage. Its better to practice higher grades manuals.

In auctions,sometimes they some Earth Grade Physique Manual who is a tenfold better than the former since it helps cultivators until the Nascent Soul Realm which is the 4th cultivation stage.

On the other hand,powerful clans and sects keep a few Demigod Grade Physique Manual secretly to cultivate their disciples and next generations' elites secretly to gather more power in the future. Its is a hundredfold better than the Earth Grade one because the gap between Nascent Soul Realm Cultivators and Fanxu Realm Cultivators are like heaven and Earth. Unfortunately,it will become less useful if the cultivator is about Great Vehicle Realm. Only one's luck and perseverance will help.

They are another two legendary grades of these manuals but no one have ever heard someone actually practice the latter. If one reveals that he did find one of any legendary manual,either sell it to earn millions of taels or die being robbed and bullied. Prolonging lifespans can make people crazy. Immortality is the main goal of almost every cultivator and those manuals is another stepping stone for these people.

In addition to these,strengthening the physique perfectly requires an intense and excessive practices and exercise that will challenge one's willpower to fully utilize their potential depending in what grade of Manual they practices. An instructor with a high wisdom,knowledge,and experience can also help during these times to achieve the goal more effectively and faster but since we all have unique ways in seeing and learning things and if you can grasp the idea in the manual by yourself,it will still be effective just like a person self-studying.

As you can see,cultivation is very extreme and tiring process so one can only imagine the struggle of these people.

The Minister can only sigh in relief. All they want is a peaceful life. Leaving that place and staying in the Imperial City is the safest for their family.
