7 Last Sunset-2

Soon Makon broke the silence, "Zeph I have always taught you the best I can with my ability. To make you familiar with battles I taught you to hunt, to make you realize the importance of strength I took you lawless area, to make you familiar with slaughter I took you to the battle arena, to make you familiar with death I make you kill several prisoners of jail,

now this my last lesson to you- pain is not something we should always avoid sometimes pain teaches us something to value in our life.

It is pain that makes the person realize empathy. Love and compassion for life is nothing but a constant reminder that every flower has thorns too. So to live life follow the flowers not the thorns in your life.

Forget about revenge!

I collected some intel a few years back those clans they all have been slaughtered and those of black raven which you can do as you wish.

.

This is the last letter your father wrote for you while fighting. he burned the contents into beast skin for you and it will be my farewell to you. Go on travel the world for now chapter of my life is may be finished but your book is about to start."

"Grandpa..."

.

"Don't cut me off, let me complete my words. Always remember to channel your serpentine energy to counter necrosis when you have a pain seizure. Because it will lead to the same result as mine. Be strong boy.

I think my time is over now" said Makon as he gazed toward the fully set sun.

.

He closed his eyes and soon in front of totally crying Zeph his body began to shrivel with fast speed, his whole body rotting with cell dying together...

With the last of his efforts, Makon self incernated his whole body which after burning did not leave even ash behind.

Zeph watched the whole process with tears gushing out of his eyes. He remembered all the time he spent with him. He realized Makon was too in pain with a curse but he never did tell him once moreover his own curse was assimilated resulting in the only disease but he tolerated such pain 24 hours without a single word.

He realized all his care over years all his burden of fulfilling promises of his father and mother. He remembered that Makon used to tell him that he has to become strong because he has lost his parents his family, he always took that for granted but today he realized what it meant to lose his parents and family because for him his grandfather was his only kin.

Zeph passed that night by quietly watching stars in the night. He woke up from a reverie when the sun began to rise. He cleaned the whole house that day.

On noon went to the lakeside for fishing like his grandfather used to do .on evening he sat at the same desk to practice calligraphy.

Two days later when he was sitting for fishing, necrosis started to began in his body cells.

He this time did not sit in meditation like he used to but experienced the pain in full. Inside his body due to the accumulation of curse energy, internal organ cells began to die one by one and soon serpentine energy healed them back into a perfect state.

This resulted in extreme pain in the body which continued till the last of curse energy fades and goes back into hibernation for more accumulation to the desired level till the next seizure.

For the whole month, Zeph followed a schedule of his grandfather s life and didn't train even for a bit.

During the full moon that night he was sitting in his room with a letter from his dad in his end. So today I turned 19 years old. I think I should read this letter more postponing it will not be wise.

"To my dear son

I know when you will get this letter you will be fully aware of my circumstances so please forgive me for I have proved to be an incapable father.

Instead of living with you and your mother, I guess fate had something else for me in her mind.

I know I failed to fulfill my duties to you and your mother who have to live without a father and husband.

ok, I will not stretch because I don't have even enough time for writing to my family guess that's the cruel fate of the world. So son if you want to take Revenge to go ahead I will not stop you but no need for the revival of the clan and other responsibilities.

Clan rise and fall everything has its own time so live your life following your heart not carrying the weight of wishes of dead men. I only want you to promise me two things 1 take care of your mother

Second, do not come to chelon before you reach at least heart stage chakra.

ok, I should stop now.

Well, there are so many things I want to say maybe some other time and place would be more suitable.so Take care, Remember I am always watching you my son

Your unfortunate Father"

Two teardrops fell into the letter which was then ground into dust by lightning. Guess dad you didn't know about mother.

Well, it is a good thing you don't know I can't even imagine the pain you must have been feeling while writing this letter. If you knew maybe it would be too cruel.

The next day with sunrise Zeph left his house to set on travel around the world.

He left with the only sword on his waist and wearing a hood over his shirt.

As he was leaving from a nearby village a man came running to him. He recognized him to be the village chief.

"Wait for a second zeph"

"Good morning chief, what happened?"

"Are you leaving this village?"

"How did you know?"

" Master came to me a year ago with a parcel. He said when a year after I see Zeph leaving the village you must give it to him"

Before Zeph could reply he ran back to his house and came back with the thin long cardboard box in hand. He gave it to Zeph and said his farewell to him.

Zeph thanked him and went on his way as he reached inside the forest he could not keep his curiosity and opened the package.

Inside was a katana with a black bone-like handle in a black sheath. He unsheathed the sword to see black katana with name engraved on the base of the hilt 'VAJRA'. He saw the small letter with it.

"Happy birthday Kiddo, don't fear I didn't remember this time. When you get this sword It means I have parted from this world. But I will be always with you."

Zeph smiled as he fixed a new sword with his old one and stared toward the horizon. He squinted his eyes toward the morning sun I think I should get moving.
