Fooling Around?

Mu Shao suddenly felt relieved with this thought. My Young Master is not bent!

With this, he turned to leave. He wanted to report this to Master Tian.

Jungkook was now left alone with Nanjun, he found this chance to finally say his problem.

"Hyung, I don't know how to read Chinese. Please teach me first." Jungkook smiled awkwardly at Nanjun.

Meanwhile, Nanjun was shocked with his Master's statement. He couldn't be fooling me right? He grew up at this age without being able to read? And he is from a prestigious family at that!

"Ehem. My name is Nanjun, Master. But if you insist on calling me 'Hyung' then this one will not complain. But is it true that you can't read?"

Nanjun tried to dispel these thoughts through clearing his throat and just proceeded on asking Jungkook.

"I lost my memories. That includes the ability to read and write, I even forgot who I am and my family and this place." Jungkook smiled at Nanjun as he explained. What he said was a lie and the truth at the same time.

It was the truth that he can't read and write Chinese, whereas Jiuguo can. It was also a lie that he lost his memories, but Jiuguo might've.

"Oh." Nanjun didn't know how to react. He ended up spouting a mere 'Oh' at Jungkook. He thought that Jungkook was a little pitiful.

It was hard not knowing anything after waking up. It was just like him when he suddenly woke up one day. He also couldn't remember anything and he felt so lost. It was even more hard since he was living alone.

Nanjun smiled at such coincidence and merely shook his head to brush the thought off. It was funny that his Master and him experienced the same state.

Nanjun have already gained his memories back, that's why he knows his name and lives pretty normal.

"Ehem. Let me teach you the basics first. This should refresh your memory then."

Nanjun coughed to dispel the silence as he started to pick a brush and some ink. He started with the basic characters.

Meanwhile, Mu Shao was currently reporting to Master Tian.

Tian Shifeng seemed to be man at his late forties. He wore a placid expression but he still exuded an awe-inspiring feeling that induces one to give utmost respect to him and complete obedience.

Under this feeling was also dread, giving one the feeling of a very sharp sword pointing at them, only that it was sheathed. If otherwise, then a normal person would have his mind break down just being under this man's presence.

"Reporting to Master, the man that Young Master Jiuguo took in has finally arrived at his courtyard and is currently reading sword art manuals to him."

"As per I previously reported, this man that we randomly encountered at the streets seems to be of talent. He started discussing a certain basic sword art manual that our clan had and he opened a new light to it."

Seeing that his Master didn't intend to answer, Mu Shao continued.

"It was the 'Enlightened Sword' manual, Master. This manual was only practiced by our lower-leveled men to teach them proper breathing techniques and following rhythm as a foundation technique to easily wield the sword."

"But this guy, had found about the importance of these breathing techniques and following the rhythm. He said that these simple things could be used with miniscule movements."

"Miniscule movements? Go on, I would like to know how could these miniscule movements be of importance in battles." Tian Shifeng nodded at Mu Shao's report as he stroked his beard.

Mu Shao nodded as he continued, "The small movements are amplified through the synergy of the breathing technique and the pulse of the user. When one executes a normal move, then the strength would also be normal, but coupling it with the technique, it relies on the ability of the user to feel his own body and pair the small movement with his breathing and pulse at the perfect timing. It is like making three ends of strings meet at one point. The three strings would join together and make a stronger thread and that would manifest in the move released."

"These are the exact words of that man, Jin Nanjun, Master. He also added more analysis regarding the technique."

"He said that adding qi would also be adding another string for the thread. Since it is a beginner technique, it would not require huge amounts of qi. But Master, if a cultivator with abundant amount of qi uses this technique the way the man described it, what would be the effects?"

Mu Shao smiled at his question, he felt proud at the great judgement of Young Master and the man's ingenious analysis.

Throughout Mu Shao's explaining, Tian Shifeng had his brows knitted. He was checking for errors but could not find any.

He thought not only about the greatness of the technique but also its negative effects if one made a mistake. It would truly be grave.

"This man has a point. But it's better to practice it with caution. Only talented and diligent individuals with discipline would be able to exhibit the full power of this technique. I would like to see how it works on higher-leveled cultivators."

Tian Shifeng set his plans on studying this technique better. He wanted to practice it himself but can't afford to make mistakes.

It would be better to check his foundation again and reinforce it if he wanted to use it freely.

Tian Shifeng also thought about the man that his son took in. He went out on a whim but was able to pick up a talented man?

He thought his son has suddenly started fooling around, going out the house on a whim with no particular reason.

There was something amiss but Tian Shifeng couldn't put his finger to it. He couldn't be just overthinking right?

"Continue to watch over that man and also Jiuguo. His condition hasn't fully recovered as he just recently woke up. Report any other activities that hold importance to me immediately. You may now go."

----------

Back at Nanjun and Jungkook, while Nanjun was writing basic characters for him, Jungkook was humming a song.

It was one of the songs written by Namjoon with Yoongi helped by their acquaintances.

Jungkook's hum was alternating from words back to hum. He was merely humming because he was happy being with at least one of his hyungs.

"...neol boge doelka, neol boge doelka.."

Suddenly, Nanjun joined the hum of the next line. He still had his head down staring at the paper as he wrote.

Jungkook heard Nanjun humming together with him. He didn't want to talk because it might stop him from singing with him. He continued to the next line.

"Chuun gyeoul kkeuteul jina.. Dasi bomnari ol ttaekkaji, Kkot piul ttaekkaji.." Nanjun suddenly stopped writing, his head suddenly hurt.

It hurt so much that he tightened his jaws and locked his brows together. Despite this, he did not stop singing. He couldn't stop.

"Geugose jom deo meomulleojwo," Jungkook continued to sing as he stared at Nanjun who seemed to be in pain, Nanjun also started to close his eyes as strength seemed to leave him.

Suddenly, Nanjun fell from his seat, dropping to the floor like a bag of straws.

Thud!

"Hyung!" Jungkook rushed to Namjoon as he checked his condition anxiously. He had an unpleasant feeling as he remembered that night.

"...meomul..leojwo.."

It was the last line from Namjoon before he closed his eyes.
