David's Flashback

Their university building were far apart but still he used to walk to her building and always wait for her jut to get a glimpse of her. He had seen John when he was having a bad day, got scold from Teacher Jane as he dozed off during the class. He was doing night part time job during that time. Anna didn't knew.

Anna" Hey, what happened?

David, " Nothing, John got punished today in the class as he was sleeping."

John looked little bit tired and was following David out of the class when he saw David and Anna were talking. He quickly straighten up his back as he didn't want Anna to see his tired looking face.

Anna saw John and smacked his head lightly with the book she had on her hand, "What? huh.. why are you sleeping in the class.. Silly ?"

Anna smiled and seeing her made John forget all the troubles he had. John also smiled back but he couldn't answer back as he couldn't lie to Anna.

David answered, " John was watching p**n last night."

Anna, "..."

John rolled his eyes at David but couldn't justify himself as he couldn't lie to his Anna.

Anna was at loss of words and could only divert the topic as she didn't want to talk about this boys stuff now. But she knew deep inside that that was not the truth. She trusted John more than herself.

David : "Okay guys , lets go and have lunch"

Anna," Okay "

John, " Okay" and move while holding Anna's hand. He eyes were gazing with love and care and there was no more tiredness. He can do anything to spent time with Anna.

David has seen his friend's love increase everyday.

John was still the same though he was 24 year old now and was a respected doctor in Apollo Hospital. He had a strong aura and all the girls were a fan of this handsome looking man but little did he care. He never even bothered to say a hi to them. They would give bouquets or flower but he throw them in the trashcan heartlessly. He didn't care what they would think. Will they think him as ruthless, but still whenever they were talking about Anna he was become shy and nervous like a 7 year old.

David just couldn't help but chuckled at his friend. "So, whats the plan? When are you going to propose to her?

John came back from his daze and with a loving smile said, "Next week, I am flying to New York and will surprise her. Then I have booked the tickets to Paris. I will propose her there."

David said "Hey man, but what about work?"

John, " I have applied for leave for next week. And if I have also decided if Anna wants to stay in New York, then I will move to New York with her and work there."

David eyes became wider, "Oh wow man, Paris. Anna is lucky."

David knew it was not an easy decision as he was doing so well in this hospital and news were heard that he might get a promotion. But in the end he knew the most important thing for him was Anna. He childishly put his head on John's shoulder and mockingly said, "Aww.. I wish I was Anna."

John just gave him an angered looked.

"Lets get back to work." John said and put his phone in his pocket one last time looking at Anna's picture. He returned to his old demeanor releasing an angry aura and cold stoic face with no expression.

New York

"Granny, did you take your medicine."

Cough... Granny was now 62 years old and her health was getting weaker and weaker.

"No, not yet" Granny answered.

"Ah, what will happen to you if I am not around. Granny, you are coming with to Ohio next week."

"No.. Anna don't worry Aunt Linda in here she will take care of me."

Aunt Linda was Granny's caretaker as she had to go to work so she couldn't leave granny by herself.

"I know Granny but still, I will be anxious leaving by yourself"

"Silly girl, you go I know you have been planning to go there for few months and couldn't get off from your work. Go and tell John about your feelings otherwise someone else will take him away you silly girl." Granny said.

" No granny, please come with me and don't worry I trust him more than myself."

"I know. I was just joking."

"Ok granny, but you have to promise me to take medicine on time."

"I promise."

After feeding granny and getting her to bed, I sat and started planning for next week. With full of anticipation. Its true I wanted to go to John for a few months now. It will be almost a year but for the few I couldn't talk to John properly as he was always busy. Previously even though they were in different time zone, they would always talk for few hours every day.

'Its ok, once i go and see John I will understand everything. I trust him and I will always support him no matter what.' I thought
