8 Assassination II

The check up and maintenance of the temperature regulation system was finally completed at 12 in the afternoon. Ash sat down and waited for his co-workers to finish their cleaning up. There was only Ash in the Temperature Regulation Room. He took out his phone to see an incoming message on his phone.

It was from his best friend, Kaiser. He had sent him an XD emoji with a text saying, "Cant wait to see you at the club tonight!"

Of course, Ash had no agreed to it. He simply shook his head as he closed his phone once again. The young man was obviously glad that his plan had went smoothly so far. There were no hiccups along the way. Everything had went his way.

It was almost too smooth…

After all, this mission was classified as an S ranked mission. Nexus would not have classified it so high if the infiltration was that simple. A sense of foreboding came over Ash. He was missing out on something crucial. What was it?

"Cluck, cluck, cluck." There was the sound of boot steps moving towards Ash's room. It got louder by the second. Everything soon clicked inside him. 'I had been played…'

Looking around him, Ash tried to find an escape route for him, but eventually, gave up. Ever since he had entered the compound, he knew that it was a do or die plan. The mines was truly an ingenious base created by the Immortal Blood Gang.

'Damn… Kaiser, I am sorry that I am not going to be able to go with you to the clubs. Maybe in the next life, we shall meet again…' Ash cursed inwardly as he quickly threw his phone on the ground and smashed it to pieces. He did not want to get his best friend involved in his messed up world.

At the beginning of Ash's hitman career, the boy had arsenic contained within a fake molar tooth. If he were to be in any danger, he was to break the teeth with extreme force to release the poison into his blood stream. He was to kill himself at this point.

It was time.

"Boom!" Just as the door was broken open, a man immediately fire a dart that landed straight into Ash's neck. Before, the young man even had the strength to bite down on this teeth, he was knocked out cold. The group of armed man came into the room and immediately surrounded the unconscious boy.

"Mission complete. The culprit has been safely secured." The person that had fired a tranquillising dart was speaking into a walkie talkie.

"Good job. Bring him to the medical ward. We will conduct a full body check on him there." The person on the other side of the walkie talkie gave out the next order.

"Yes, sir." With that, four big men stood out and lifted Ash up on his four limbs. He looked like a dead livestock.

After during X ray scans to examine whether there was any potential deadly devices in Ash, the doctor in the ward proceeded to removed the implanted arsenic tooth. Ash was stripped naked and was brought straight after to the interrogation cell. From that point on, all items of Ash had been confiscated, including his broken phone.

In the Operations Room, the chemical weapon created by Ash was also carefully stored away from biohazard experts. The micro camera in the room was also taken away. Everything was seen and monitored by the Immortal Bloods Gang.

The man behind the walkie talkie was the Head of Surveillance in the Immortal Bloods Gang. He wore glasses and had shiny black hair. Obviously, he had put too much hair gel in the morning. His name was Kosuke Yamazaki.

"Sir, we have transferred him to the interrogation cell as you ordered." The underling from before called for him through the walkie talkie once more.

"Alright. Proceed to wake him up and interrogate him. Execute plan A first until I give the next instruction." Kosuke answered back in a dull manner. The man in glasses was sat in another room that looked exactly the same as the Operations Room that Ash had entered. The only difference was that there were no one else here except for him and him only.

The Head of Surveillance, the master of tactics, Kosuke Yamazaki, had Ash running on his palm the entire morning. Rather, from the beginning when Ash applied for an internship position in the cleaning company, Kosuke was already informed. The cleaning company was a sub business ran by the Immortal Bloods Gang and so, anything suspicious or changes would be informed to the mafia gang.

Of course, the sudden internship could also be counted as a coincidence of some sort. And so, Kosuke had set up a backup trap. In the case that the newbie was truly here to learn, the trap would not be used. However, if proven to be true that Ash was an assassin or spy of some sort, the trap could be put to use.

"Hey Kosuke!" The sliding doors opened and a pair of young men entered the room. Obviously, they seemed to be familiar with the Head of Intelligence as they informed the man in glasses, "Boss is already in the compound."

The pair of young men had nice silky blond hair that flowed with the wind. They were a pair of brothers that looked exactly identical to each other. The twins were Jet and Jack Tabola, the Head of Reconnaissance in the Immortal Bloods Gang.

"Alright, let's go." Kosuke got out of his head quickly and left with the twins. He would never be late to a meeting with his boss.

"What were you doing just now?" Jet asked Kosuke as they walked towards the elevator. "You had activated 20 men suddenly."

"Oh, I was catching a mouse that was loose in our base."

"A mouse?" Jet was confused. "How did a mouse even get into the mines in the first place?"

"Bro, I am sure Kosuke was talking about a human that was personified as a mouse." Jack was obviously smarter and helped to clarify his brother's confusion.

"Oh!" Jet's eyes widened. He turned to look at Kosuke who confused him, "Why didn't you just say that in the first place? Why do you have to say a mouse?"

"Only you would not have figured that I was talking about a human. Dumbass…" Kosuke cursed.

"You..!"

"Stop it, the two of you." Jack quickly mitigated the two guys that was always butting heads against each other. "We are going to meet boss after all this time. Can we coexist just for today?"

"Hmphh!" The pair harrumphed and stopped their fight for now. Indeed, they should not show such trivial problems in front of their boss.
