13 I want to be like you

"Well, I am new here, and this is my first time in a mall. My friend told me to buy things from there and pay at that counter.

But I got confused and thought we have to pay for everything there. So I was taking the dress there, but this lady thought that I was stealing" she said innocently.

This made Adam struck dumb. Were there still people who had never been to a mall. And especially a beautiful and elegant lady like her.

She was not looking like a village girl or a dumb or poor one, if asked she has the aura of a royal. But it doesn't look like she was lying.

"My friend here apologized and even asked that she would buy this dress and two more with extra commission as compensation.

But this lady here said that who knows that money also came from stealing and the matter blew up.

I apologize once again for my mistake but you can check CCTV if you don't trust us. "

"It's ok, pretty lady, I understand. let me help you in purchasing this dress as a gift from my side." Said Adam flirting.

"And why did my wife need a dress from a stranger?" asked Victor while coming in front of Cyn and Vale. 

"Where did you both go, I was looking everywhere. And what's happening here Vale?" he asked looking at the crowd then her sister accusingly.

"Hey! Why are you looking at me like that? I am trying to help your WIFE" She said emphasising the word wife to make sure he knows she is not his wife.

"It's a long story but let's pay and go home. I am tired now." Said Cyn, holding his hand. "Thanks for your help and offer Sir." She said smiling at Adam.

"It's my pleasure pretty lady." He said smilingly which made Victor narrow his eyes at him.

"You go guys to that restaurant and order food, I will pay for it before you make more MISTAKES. And please just order food and stay there. Okay" they both looked at her accusingly but still nodded and went where she pointed at.

"Thank you Mr. Adam, I wish your brother had the same etiquette as you," She said Looking at Leo accusingly and going into the shop for payment.

"Care to tell what happened? " asked Adam

"Nothing" And just like that he went away. He knew he behaved rude that day but he was in a bad mood and heavily drunk.

That's why he avoided the girl. He was also not sure whether that was just an incident or trickery. But it makes no sense to explain any of them.Their meeting or should say chances of bumping again are very low.

"It's been three days since we have toast or sandwiches for breakfast. We have not even started working that you are in a hurry. Why don't you try any soup, pancakes, or fresh bread, anything." Valerie asked chewing toast like it's made up of cement.

"I.. I am watching videos of cooking but it's not easy. I tried pancakes but it got burnt" Cyn said embarrassingly.

While Valerie just blinked. She doesn't know cooking! Then why the hell she got agreed to cooking breakfast for them.

Humpf Victor claims to love her but doesn't even know such a detail. Poor princess! While Cyn thought she was angry at her, looking at her fuming face.

"I will learn soon, okay." She said so pitifully that VALERIE just fake coughed and said "come here."

She took her to the kitchen and patted to sit her on the counter. While she cooked sunny side up eggs with French toast, pancakes, and baked strawberry cupcakes.

She also made a few salads and hummus for her. Then she carefully packed all the food except eggs in airtight containers and put it in the fridge.

"Just warm them in the microwave every morning like this. And I will make more once in a while in the evening, you can come and see me to learn, if you want. otherwise let it be. It's not like a princess needed to learn cooking. I.. I understand." She said scratching her neck.

"You do? Oh good, you do." She bobbed her head and smiled brightly.

"Come let's have eggs before it gets cold." she said awkwardly and almost ran from the kitchen.

This turns the smile of Cyn into almost a grin.

"Yummy! How do you know about cooking Vale? You almost worked like a professional in the kitchen. You made so much in just a short amount of time.

It is much better than I ate in the palace" Although exaggerated what she said was true. As a daughter of duchess Clara, Valerie doesn't need to cook. So as a normal person her cooking was exceptional.

"Well dad used to stay out most of the time for his work. Victor and I were close in childhood, then he met you.

I mean Palace, he started going to the palace. So I became kind of alone at home. So, I spent most of my time with my mother.

She loves cooking, she never lets the cook make dinner, she believes that you can pour your love into the food for your family.

So I learnt cooking while following her around." she said in a normal tone but Cyn understood. Both of their lives are not much different. Royalty is mostly a lonely life.

"Vale, Can't we be friends. At least when we are here. I mean,I liked you always but you just hated me!!"

"I don't hate you Cyn. I just wanted some attention like you get from both of our family. They always compare me to you. And I am not and never wanted to be you."

"But I want to be like you." Said Cyn smilingly.
