16 Finding clues

"I must say as a lazy person, you have put a lot of effort in following us!" He complimented but there was no humour in his voice.

"Covering yourself in vines, and coming out from the balcony. May I know why my lazy sister is putting so much effort in following me?"

"It's not like that, I just wanted to know why you locked me up? But then I saw what you were doing here, so I didn't interrupt you. You should be glad that I gave you the needed privacy. " She replied blaming him instead. And flown from there before he could ask further questions.

"You can't use your phoenix form here." But she was already gone.

"Great! One was using teleportation while the other was literally flying in the garden. Looks like villa was really a better choice" He inspected his surroundings once more to detect any other person who has seen all this, so he could manipulate his memory.

"Thank God, no one is here" Since he can't teleport or fly he just walked back. One thing he forgot was many apartments have balcony facing gardens also, from where people can see them.

"You were right, they have arrived" a stranger informed me on the phone. His eyes were fixed on the place where Cyn and Victor were sitting a while ago.

Victor wanted to go and check on Cyn. He knocked on her door but when she didn't reply, he didn't knock again giving her some time. After all tomorrow was their first day of job and both ladies have never worked in their whole life.

While Cynthia was wide awake, she was looking at her lips in the mirror which were slightly swollen, looking more luscious. Her heart was still beating loudly. She could feel his every touch and she is melting in it.

A strange feeling is taking in her body. Did she want to stop it or continue? His touch was so warm,So gentle. Did he really love her or is it just attraction to this new feeling? Attraction it's definitely an attraction.

Finally she told her mind that it's because of her first kiss but not love. After taking a cold bath she felt better and drifted to sleep.

After a week....

"How can you quit for the third time in a week Vale?" Asked Victor in a dangerously low voice. "You didn't even find a clue!!"

"Hey! My boss was lecher and he was trying to put a hand on me." She said putting her hands on her chest annoyingly. 

"And what about the other two?" He asked fumingly. 

"One boss lady was against my style. While at another restaurant the waitress was jealous of my beauty because I got more generous tips therefore they mixed something in food and blamed me. Can you believe that?" She said it's all their mistake.

"Last job! And if you quit or fired then I will send you back home. And you will be grounded till we come back. Plus your goody two shoes innocent act will be out in front of everyone. Can you believe that?" He said, shrugging his shoulders.

"Fine I won't quit no matter what, even if I have to buy a chilly spray for my safety." She replied huffing and puffing.

"Good, Only two places are left in that area: Leo's den or Together Forever restaurant. Go, get a job in one tomorrow and start cooking before Cyn comes back."

"Fine, go rest, I will cook dinner" he said looking at her sad face. He really doesn't want to be angry but this isn't going anywhere.

Ding dong

"Wow, I must say you should check atleast before opening the gate automatically. What if there is someone else?" Said Cyn entering the house.

"I can sense you darling, and even if I do that mistakenly I can say we have an automated system like in the malls." He said while putting dinner on the table.

"Oh! I have good news, you know." But before she could say anything he cut her off.

"I want to know everything about my love. But right now, I want you to go and freshen up. So we can have dinner. Then we can talk as much as you want, hmmm?" He said, giving a kiss on her cheek.

Like a ritual he did that everyday when she returns. Expecting that, she will reciprocate but after that day it feels like they are back to square one. She has become reserved!

"Sure, I will come soon." And she returned to her room closing the door and standing behind like always, cherishing the touch of his lips. His hot breath against her.

Even if the kiss is just for a second. She waits the whole day for this moment. She carves for his touch but can't tell him, not now at least. She will be sure when gets married.

When she came down, siblings were already there. "Hey, I have good news, tomorrow a new psychiatrist is joining to question the patients of the accident because according to the hospital they are all talking about some abnormal things.

And I will be his new assistant. So I could clearly see what they have seen there." She said excitedly. 

"Wow, great news Cyn,. At Least someone is getting progress. Vale lost her job again" said Victor smilingly and rubbing her hand with his thumb, which she took back in the name of eating but Victor knew there is something a miss.

"Hey what about you... What have you achieved..." Asked Vale, taunting her brother..

"Well, we will also go tomorrow to ask questions from the staff of the bank." Said Victor proudly. "See only you are left behind." 

"I will also go to Together Forever restaurant for an interview" she said sheepishly on which they both just shook their heads and continued eating.
