3 A new start

The land of Mythward also called witch realm is a beautiful land which is attached to nature and it's a leader called king.

It is said the land has its own soul and chooses its leader. Whenever a leader is chosen he will be bestowed with a mark of sun and moon bending close to each other.

It symbolises the day and night connection of land with the leader. Then the leader will use his own blood to pay the tribute to the land. Whenever a king is going to be retired he will choose some royal men and women who are deemed to be qualified as a good ruler and start the ritual.

The one chosen will get the mark. And if no one gets the mark, it means they are still not prepared to be king or the land wants someone else to be its ruler.

Once the ruler is decided its soul gets attached with the land. His happiness will bring spring, sadness will bring winter, anger will bring the storm. Moodiness will bring summer.

Therefore, a mature king is needed who could control his emotions. Because the witch realm has stronger living beings than humans. They have beasts as their pets. Elements as their power, mostly each have one elementary power.

But few gifted ones have many. But only the royals have the power to teleport. The land has been a prosperous one because the king is a very kind and generous person.

He always puts his full power in making the land better. But after the death of his wife, things have started to degrade. Many people blame the king himself because he married a commoner.

It is believed that royals are very high in strength compared to commoners therefore they are only allowed to Marry into royalty but the king fell in love with a maid to be.

Which often bring a beautiful love story and hope for normal people. But she was not strong enough to stabilise the power of her baby while giving birth. The baby was taken enough of her power which resulted in her early death. Otherwise, witches live a long life

They grow just like humans till the age of being an adult then their ageing process gets slower and mostly live up to two hundred years while few have gone up to five hundred years.

After the death of the Queen, the one who gives hope to the king was his son, a gift to him bestowed by his wife but now even that is gone.

The king is now married to his wife's sister and a royal lady so that next birth doesn't have any problem and his other wife could take care of his son which is blood-related to her. But now it's not needed since the child is gone.

The king asked his men to search everywhere but the child is not in the whole realm. Tired of waiting, the king decided to use forbidden magic. And used a locator spell. That shows his son is in the human realm near the river Cassinia which joined the human and witch realm also called a portal.

Many times this portal is used to travel in the human realm for trade, learning and exchanging knowledge. Many witches also decided to settle down in the human realm by marriage or jobs. But they need to keep their identities hidden otherwise they will be treated as abnormal and will be experimented upon.

The king sends its elite members in Rowan town for the search of his son. But even after a month, there is no news. So he decided to use the locator spell once again.

Since it can be used once in a month only. But strangely he is not able to locate his son now. Which only means that either he is dead or has a guardian soul to hide his aura.

The chance of it being the latter is none because the maid who kidnapped his son was already killed by his men. And the location she was told has no baby there. Which means someone else has taken it from there.

He was heartbroken and sad but also knows there is no way he can remain like this. He tried to choose a new leader but the land was not ready to choose its new leader which forced him to be the king for the meantime.

Days turned into months and months into years. The land of Mythward continued to spread happiness among its citizens. Now The king has a son Austin, and a daughter Ellena, from the royal blood queen Veronica while a daughter Cynthia, from empress Felicia and surprisingly the empress didn't die while giving birth.

In fact, she became stronger due to the mixing of royal blood in her body. Still, the king used the locator spell each month in hope that his son is still alive somewhere.

But every time his hopes get destroyed by the cruel reality. Somewhere he blamed himself for not taking care of his son as much as needed.

But he is happy that he still has a family. His children love him a lot and always put efforts to fill the gap.

The land duties have also been distributed among them since the age of fifteen so that they can be a strong ruler.
