Magic and the Zombie Apocalypse

After a failed attempt to take over his own realm a necromancer with plans for conquest enters our modern world. To form an undead magic army and take over his lost empire he develops a spell that gives humans powers and causes the zombie pandemic. Conner Gates, an ordinary kid about to turn 18, tries to escape his divorced parents and their problems, but his plans are interrupted by the start of the zombie apocalypse. Despite only wanting to look out for himself, Conner, having the markings of a hero, has to protect his sister Amanda from harm’s way. They must learn how to live in their new reality and develop their magic powers if they have a fighting chance at survival. As luck would have it, Conner's extraordinary and extremely rare magic abilities put a wrench in the necromancer’s plans. If Conner chooses to fight for the fate of the world, will he be able to save the ones he loves? Will the Necromancer succeed with his plans or will humankind win against all odds?
