Jenny smiled when she saw Jayden as he walked out of what she was sure 'their' room. His hair was messy like he was laying in bed.

She did a better job hiding her frown that Jayden did. "Hey, Jenny." He smiled and walked into the room.

"Benny told me what happened." She frowned. "I am sorry." She hugged him, she expected him to pull back a little, but to her surprise not only did he let her, but he also leaned on her, then she was almost certain, she heard him sobbing quietly.

Benny told her if she really wanted to be Jayden's friend, he needed to trust her, and despite his goofy nature, he was very sensitive, and still felt like he shouldn't cry, because 'men don't cry'.

If he was sobbing, he must have felt safe, she just pulled him closer, he confirmed his sobs, by letting go of all his pain. She could see it in him when he trimmed her yard once a week, and this was she really wanted, to help him. The two boys were living their lives, and she was still living her lie.
