CHAPTER-5 (A NEW START)

Aubrey's POV

Next day I woke on my actual time, got ready to go to the hospital, now that my team leader is changed I think I definitely would have time to breath and most importantly to eat, I love to eat, and wait who doesn't, I go with the saying 'If food is delicious its zero calorie'. Me being thinking about food at early morning, that's a good start, don't you think so. If I am thinking of food as soon as I woke up, it means I am feeling totally fine.

As soon as I came out of my room, I was hit with the smell of freshly made omelets, and yes Unni woke up early today also, just to make sure I eat breakfast, and her omelets are something to die for. Well you might find this weird but I am an eggetarian, and you be like oh do we have that category too, and yes there is, cause I am an eggetarian, which means I eat vegetarian food and all foods that have eggs in it, but I don't eat meat or other non-veg food (DUH!)

'Mm, Unni cinca sarengao, kumapta. (Sister, I love you, thanks)'

'Wai? (Why)'

'Wai? You woke up early to make food for me and that too omelet, you know how much I love omelet.' (P.S. no offence to veg or non- veg eating people out there)

'Firstly, I woke up because I was not able to sleep, and secondly, I was craving for it so thought to make some for you too, there is no need to feel so special.'

'Ahh Unni I know you love me, even I love myself, who can't love this sexy girl over here, there is no need to feel shy about it, I know you love me to hell.'

'Ok, ok I lose yes, I love you and especially that confidence of yours.'

'Confidence is my middle name babes.'

'Oh, miss Worldwide Beautiful, now stop this act of yours, we both know you can spend hours praising yourself and the omelets are getting cold, so sit and eat fast and after that shoo you go to your handsome team leader.'

'Wait, wait did you just called someone handsome, ahan someone has a crush, but when did you see him, I just told you about him.'

'Yeah so what's wrong in that, he is handsome, and wait don't tell me you don't know about him?'

'Do I need to?'

'Off Couse, he is the best neurosurgeon of the city, who doesn't know him?'

' Me' (I said that in my mind, I might add, or Unni would have killed me). 'Ahan so that is how you know him, I thought you had some personal encounter with him and saying it with experience, you know what I mean.'

'Yeah, I would love that kind of thing, oh Aubrey stop now or you will get late on your first day.'

'Well it's not my first day if we say technically.'

'For me it is, whatever eat fast and off you go.'

'Yeah to your handsome doctor I got it, I am done, bye, and visit me and you might get a chance to come face to face with, you know who'. I said running out of the door, and I could hear her shouting 'Yeah cinca(seriously - Korean) Aubrey, don't you come back here or I might kill you.'

'I know Unni you won't, you love me.'

'Yeah, that's the problem.'

I took a cab to the hospital; I was so happy I mean I was wearing my uniform what else I could be happy and proud of, then this. Soon I reached the hospital and the guard outside hospital suddenly stood straight and saluted me and wished me with a shocked expression. Ahan, guess he is shocked to see a normal doctor turn into an army doctor within a day.

The receptionist inside was shocked too, so were the people in the lift or should I say where ever I was going people were shocked. I thought I should collect my belongings from the room of my not so dear ex team leader, I was dying to see her shocked face. As soon I went inside the room, she was shocked, well shocked was a small word she was looking like she could faint there itself. I smiled looking at her and said...

'Good morning madam, Lieutenant Aubrey Huxley here, well I guess I forgot to introduce myself properly last time.'

'You, you are... an... army... doc....?'

'Yes, madam I am an army doctor and I have just completed my medical studies from AMC, I hope you know AMC right?'

'Hmm, hmmm yeah.... yeah... so you here?'

'Well I was here to say good bye to you, I think you are informed that my team leader has been changed.'

'Yeah, I know, uncle I mean chief called me and informed me, by the way who is your new team leader?'

'Oh, you know him very well I guess, it's Dr. Daniel Brown, you know him, right?'

'Yeah, yeah, I know him.'

'Well I'll take my belongings and leave, I don't want to be late.'

After taking my belongings I was going out, when I saw her face she was looking angry, she was looking the human version of red from angry birds, but that would be a shame to say for... red, what you thought hnn, that women made my life hell and you want me to be an angle mianhe (sorry, but not sorry), I can't, I looked around to find Dr. Davis looking at me with a questionable face, I mouthed 'later' and went towards my new work office, and I must admit it is heaven of Earth.

I knocked two times on the door, and a voice came "Come in". As soon as I entered, I was greeted with the face of Mr. handsome (like Unni likes to call him, but for me Harry Styles will always be the most handsome, no offence to not so handsome people).

'Good morning sir, Lieutenant Aubrey Huxley reporting for work.'

'Wow, I always wanted to work with people from army never knew I would get a chance like this. Good morning Lieutenant Huxley. I would like to introduce myself I am Dr. Daniel Brown and welcome to my team.'

'I know your name sir, and thanks for accepting me in your team, I am a little late from my schedule, due to some personal reasons, but still I hope I become a very good member of your team.'

'Sure, sure you will, and it's fine I'll make sure you reach other interns level within a month.'

Then he turned towards his team and with a smile said 'You must by now know her, so how about you introduce yourself and welcome her to the team.'

1: Hi, welcome to team I am Amelia McKay.

2: Hi, welcome to team I am Zoe Stoll.

3: Hi, welcome to team I am Noah Enger.

4: Hi, welcome to team I am Anna Verlice.

5: Hi, welcome to team I am Naomi Scott.

And like that boring introductions went on, until.....

6: Hey dear welcome to the team of crazy people, no offence but I mean is that a way to introduce yourself guys, listen and learn, hey sweetie I am Rachel Jones and welcome to the family, I hope we become friends.

'Well this is what I call introduction, very well Rachel, and guys I know we are doctors but that doesn't mean we need to be serious like this. Forget it, let's start with the current reports of the patients, let's start from you Dr. Amelia'.

Don't judge. I may be a mess, but keep turning the pages. I'm a book, half unread.
