13 CHAPTER-12

The next day Aubrey goes to the hospital, nothing out of the order happens, and the CIA officer is still following her. Aubrey completes her afternoon round and goes towards the cafeteria to eat. While she and CIA officer were eating she gets a call from Rikkard.

'Hello'

'Hello Aubrey'

'Yes, Rikkard'

'I got to know about that guy whose photo you sent me'

'Yes, tell me'

'He was a terrorist from a group called Sirat-Ul-Jannat. This is a radical Islamic group and they are on police, army and many other agencies top list. I got all the information about this guy and I think I know why he was murdered.'

'Really why?'

'Because he just left the group, he said he wanted to do some better work then killing people for no reason, most probably this is why he was killed and not a single information was left at his place and leaving your photo there was to confuse CIA from finding then.'

'Those cheapskates they did this thing, I hate such people, may they rot in hell.'

'You are right, listen if you want I'll send one of my man to your hospital and he will give you the memory card that contains all the information, what do you say?'

Aubrey excuses herself from the food table and seeing her a little uneasy the CIA officer suspects something's wrong and reports it to CIA headquarters.

'No Rikkard, the CIA officer is with me 24/7 and if he sees a guy giving me the memory card and asks question, what will I do then I do not want to involve you in this matter, what if they track you down through your man, you will get involve in a no man's business.'

'Saving mine and my family's life was also a no man's business but you still helped us and so what if I get involved, I don't mind helping you.'

'Firstly as you said it was no man's business and I got involved because I am women.'

'Great then in your no man's business, lets include a women, i'll send a women to you who can act like your friend and CIA won't suspect a thing, what do you say?'

'Not a bad idea, let's do this, send your sister Katie, she is my friend so CIA won't suspect a thing, but let's not include her directly just in case. So tell Katie to reach the hospital and then call me as if she was passing by and thought to meet me and I'll handle the other things, okay'

Okay, bye.'

'Bye'

After that she returns back to the table, the CIA officer looks at her as if she has committed a crime, just to clarify she tells him that she was talking to her friend.

'You found anything about those two guys Chloe.'

'You won't believe me if I'll tell you boss, but this girl has got friends in high places, the first person she called whom she was referring as 'Vincenzo' her Italian friend is actually Major V from Military Intelligence.'

'What is the full name of this major?'

'I don't know sir, I tried but anything about him is Level 5 confidential'

'You got to be kidding me, level 5 confidential means he has done some real big missions for the country and he is as important as our President.'

'I know sir that is what I meant when I said friends at high places'

'And what about the second person?'

'The second person she was calling as her friend is Rikkard Roosevelt, one of the biggest businessman of America and he has business overseas also, he has got all the connections you need.'

'This girl is seriously not a normal girl that we thought her to be, we need to be more careful with her, now that we know about her connections.'

'Yes sir'

'Call Kevin and inform him also'

'Yes sir, right away sir'

Hospital (Interns room)

Aubrey is working on her patients report, she has gotten two more patients one among them is a women of 80 years who just got her appendix removed and the other is a young boy 19 years who got admitted in the hospital around the time she got herself involved in this terrorist case, he was admitted because of a serious motorcycle accident and he fractured 2 of his rib bones, left hand bone and left legs lower bone.

*RING RING*

'Katie, good morning, to what do I owe this pleasure to get your call.'

'Good morning to you too Aubrey, I was passing by and thought I should meet you.'

'That would be so good, wait I'll come to pick you up'

'No need, I know the way around this hospital, you tell me where you are and I'll come'

'Floor 4, Dr. Brown's Interns room.'

'Got it, I'll be there in 5'

'Yep, I am waiting'

(After some time Katie comes)

'Hey sweetie'

'Katie, it is so good to meet you after so long'

'Yes, all because of business I am not able to meet you often, now also you see I am going to Canada for some meeting with our overseas clients'

'As in now, you won't be stopping'

'No believe me I would have loved to but I need to leave I just wanted to see a beautiful face before the flight and off course I bought you a gift'

'You didn't need to'

'Oh hell yeah I need to, here take this and I am not taking no as an answer'

Katie handovers a small box to Aubrey, which contains the pendent as well as the memory card beneath the cushion of the case.

'Thank you, the pendent is very beautiful'

'I know right, now allow me to leave, I have a flight to catch'

'Come I'll escort you to your car'

'Ah, no need carry on your work and I think your colleague wants to talk to you regarding something he is continuously looking, so bye'

'Ah he, ha-ha, yeah, bye, call me when you land'

Aubrey to CIA officer Kevin

'Katie is an old friend of mine.'

'Hm, got it'

Later Kevin reports the brief meeting of Aubrey and Katie to headquarters and also the fact that Katie thought of him as Aubrey's colleague which means she is not aware of the situation.
