1 The path to nowhere is here

I was walking silently in a secluded street when someone called me..... "Mia, Mia Amor..."

This road I am trudging is secluded from the busy streets and of people rushing to go home, and I am usually alone with no human companion. I chose this path in going home everyday because I feel safe and the walk eventually relaxes my tiresome body.

I turned my head to see who was calling me and saw a handsome man who I thought was of my age or a little bit older than I am. I was trying to recognize him by staring at his face but still walking as fast as I could. My heart was beating so fast...

A lot of what ifs came to my mind. What if he is a rapist or a drug addict or a serial killer... oh my!and yet, at the back of my mind, I had hoped and silently prayed, that I know him. The fact that he knows my name, God please keep me safe....
