11 THE BARREN BLESSED WITH A LITTLE BUNDLE OF JOY

They say that someone's misfortune could be another person's fortune this came to pass, Rachael a thirty eight year old childless woman woke up to find a bundle of joy brought to her door steps, then handed over to her legally and for free. weird right? but it happened to Rachael changing her life .

Though her friends were worried for her they still hoped it would turn out just fine,they counted days months then years helping and supporting Rachael in raising the child ,fearing the worse but... when she was five years Rachael got comfortable , whoever lost or threw away the child would have given up already.

When she was seven years old Rachael took her necklace and kept it away ,she was her daughter now.

Melody who had grown used to having it around her neck thought she had lost it, she looked for it without letting the mother know that her necklace was gone, Rachael on the other hand thought she was okay without it until that day when the two of them came running to her house.As she took the necklace from her daughter to give it to the boy her heart sunk, she knew instantly that it was a copyright of the other one like a photocopy of Melodies necklace only it had a different name 'Joel ' written on it.

They had no similarities between them, yet it was totally normal for siblings not to share looks or characters. The boy had disappeared after that day and Rachael was getting comfortable again until one bright morning she saw a car pulling by her door. This boy ...again..? Rachael wondered but when she saw her daughter disembark from the same car her pulse rate raced by double and she was having a hard time controlling it.Great fear unknown to her engulfed her soul sending painful rays that covered her entire chest cavity, those two children were giving her heart attack without meaning to.

Melody who was well raised saw her mother's reactions and interpreted them well, running to her mother's side she introduced Jeff as a friend who offered her a lift since he was on his way here then turning to Jeff and offered a thank you and bye . Rachael curiosity won't allow her to let him go, she invited him in and further questioned him on how and when they met, satisfied with his explanations she cooked for them and send him a way begging him not to bother the girl and instead allow her humble time to study.

Jeff misinterpreted it as to wait for her to get done with her studies which to him was an opportunity since he himself was a university student and with more freedom unlike in high school where one is confined in the dormitories he offered himself to them to provide and to teach, he would buy Melody whatever presents she asked for no matter how much it costed and Melody would work hard in class just to earn those presents . They were getting too close and friendlier each day for Rachael's peace of mind.

This very Saturday he came in a little drunk, not too much to be noticeable but Rachael noticed, she was not going to allow her precious daughter see this so she kept her busy inside while she kept Jeff busy with some chores and small talks.He was too happy his life was perfect, his girlfriend brighter ,very innocent, his mother in law very affectionate and friendly, he felt at home and he was home chatting with his family.

He said too much that day. He left the house two hours after saying good night to Melody with a hug which was a first one with a strict mother like Rachael not even a handshake was allowed but that night it was him who pulled Melody to hug her then waved 'her' a letter in her face,the one he thought she had written and drove away happily. What was written in that letter nearly caused his death that night.

Rachael died the following day due a hit and run. Jeff's accident kept him away for a while and according to Melody Jeff never came back , the neighborhood buried Rachael and Melody was send to an orphanage nearby, Melody felt abandoned but what she didn't know was that Jeff looked for her and never gave up searching. He went back after his car accident but it was too late .

Rachael had ordered her daughter to look for Jeff because they belonged together,even when taking her last breath, she refused to let her know that she was adopted.It pained her to leave her little one alone.

She looked for Jeff alright, not for anything else but for the necklace, one day saw him in a magazine wearing her necklace, that magazine brought her to Jeff but in a very bad situation, it is why she was here.

... it's what she was doing here but this encounter did not turn out the way it was supposed to.

Where she was standing only God was going to clear up a path for her or else ...
