Tutoring

The next day, every single student in school had heard of what transpired the former day and many girls rejoiced at the news that the pedophile was finally arrested. There was no confirmation on who the girl involved in the whole incident was but many of the bastard's past victims were extremely grateful to her when they heard how she 'fought' her attacker.

Yui didn't take a day off although she was recommended to by the GOM and the school officials. Her mind had somewhat recovered which was actually quick however, Yui blames it on the fact she was 'reborn'. Her mentality is strong.

Basketball games and preliminaries had begun once again and Yui made a note to attend as many games as she could that featured the GOM. Of course she wasn't planning on going to all of them but just enough to bag a few photos.

Her relationship with the rainbow group was...interesting. Despite the incident, Yui never made an attempt to hang out with the group and still kept her loner ways. She did however join them for lunch occasionally and the team always looked forward to her food. Kuroko and Momoi sometimes talk to her since they are all in the same class but the rest are in other classrooms so they barely meet.

Currently, Yui and the group were eating lunch in the cafeteria when she heard their conversations.

" Ne Midochin, I need a tutor." The purple giant said as he bit into a sushi roll. Midorima's eyebrow twitched in annoyance. Usually Akashi would take care of this but he was away on some business so Midorima was now the 'head' of the group.

The megane sighed, " Momoi, do you have time to tutor him?"

" Sorry Midorin, Mukkun, I'm afraid I'm too busy getting things ready for the basketball preliminaries,"

" Ehh Midorimacchi, why didn't you ask the rest of us?" Kise said feeling slightly offended. Midorima gave Kise the stink eye, " In case you brainless blonde has forgotten, neither you, Aomine nor Kuroko have that great grades. Kuroko does pass unlike the two of you but it's mainly average at best,"

Kuroko gave a small pout but didn't say anything. The two idiots on the other hand began arguing with him and Momoi tried to calm them down. Yui was just watching for a moment but decided to speak up.

"...Ano, if you want, I can tutor Murasakibara-san. " The table went silent as they stared at the girl. Midorima pushed up is glasses, " Arai-san, wouldn't that be too much trouble for you?"

" Not really. If you haven't noticed, I don't exactly have a life aside from watching basketball matches between middle-schoolers and I have a lot of free time since I'm not in any club,"

" I-In that case, Murasakibara, what do you think?"

Murasakibara blinked and shrugged. " I don't mind. Araichin is nice anyway,"

Yui then remembered, " Ah, um we can't go to my place since...but I can still help you if there is somewhere else we can go,"

Although they didn't show it, the group felt pity for the girl. She was an orphan who kept to herself in school and was almost ***** by a teacher. Yui was still a middle-schooler and she had to go through such bad luck.

The purple giant broke the awkward silence, " Araichin, you can come to my place,"

" Eh?"

" We can start today,"

" EH?!"

Yui wasn't sure what she was thinking. At this point...screw the plot. Her going to tutor a member of the GOM was not ever supposed to happen but her stupid mouth that acted before her mind brought her here. In front Murasakibara's house that looked incredibly...normal.

Huh. Yui wasn't sure what she was expecting but was thankful it wasn't some crazy mansion like Akashi's. The walk and bus ride here was quiet. Very quiet except for when the two stopped by a convenience store to buy some maibo.

Yui was anxious when they reached the door. Murasakibara took out a key and opened it. They took off their shoes and he handed Yui a small pair of slippers that were in fact way too large for her. It was the smallest pair apparently.

The living room was spacious and neat. There was a shelf of books and a big TV on the side with a long couch facing it.

" Tadaima," Murasakibara said. Soon a voice from upstairs responded. " Okaeri Atsushi,"

Yui watched as a tall purple haired man walked down the stairs. He wore a big smile and had aura the complete opposite of Murasakibara's.

" Oh Atsushi, you got a friend today and a girl at that?" the man said as he walked towards them. He completely towered over Yui who gulped.

" G-good afternoon, I am Arai Yui. I'm going to be tutoring Murasakibara-san here," Yui did a 90 degree bow.

A booming laughter followed after. " AHAHA, such a cute girl Atsushi. She's polite too. Make sure you treat her properly as a guest,"

" Haii," Murasakibara drawled out. " We can go to my room Araichin. I'll just get some snacks,"

Murasakibara led Yui away from his father and into the kitchen where her grabbed some sweet biscuits and a couple bags of chips and two packets of pocky. Honestly, is his stomach a bottomless pit?

The two went upstairs and the giant opened a door on the right. His bedroom looked normal aside from the various empty packets of chips and cookies lying around. There was a small tabled in the middle and the two sit down and took off their jackets.

Yui let the fact that she was alone with a boy in his room brush past her mind considering the boy in question was very child-like and they were both middle-schoolers. Yui took out her books and began.

" Now then, Murasakibara-san, is there a certain subject you are struggling with?"

"Hmmm, all of them,"

Yui sighed since she guessed as much. This guy was a total airhead most of the time.

" Very well then, let us start with the hardest...math"

*CRUNCH*

Murasakibara bit into a chip looking absolutely bored. Yui pretty much expected this to happen so she took a different approach when teaching him substituting his favourite snacks and basketball rules into different equations. This sparked a small interest in the giant's eyes and Yui smirked.

This method was incredibly cliche but it worked like a charm and just like that, Murasakibara began following the notes.

||Yui POV||

It was getting late. I had already called Miss Hana to tell her I would be late so I didn't rush our studies. Luckily we had managed to go through several subjects before I decided to call it a day.

" Good job today. We can continue tomorrow," I said packing up my bags. My eyes glanced at the empty packets of snacks lying around and my OCD that I had managed to suppress began to come out.

" Ano Murasakibara-san, may I clean your room?" I asked nervously. The giant was surprised, "Eh?"

" S-sorry it's just a habit of mine. If I'm overstepping my boundaries I apologise,"

Murasakibara blinked as this has never happened before but said, " Araichin wants to clean my room. Araichin is nice,"

I took that as a 'yes' and began cleaning immediately. Out of habit, I got Murasakibara to help me which he agreed too without a fuss surprisingly but I did most of the work. By the time we finished, the clock reached 5.30pm and the room was as good as new.

The door opened to reveal a pretty tall girl with short black hair and intimidating eyes. She was about to speak when she saw me folding some clothes and the clean room. The door was slammed open and she marched towards Murasakibara and gave him a swift 'whack!' on the back of his head.

" Oi you brat! You actually got your guest to clean your room!"

I blinked at the sudden development. This must be his older sister. His sister turned to me and bowed forcing Murasakibara's head down as well. He tried to swat her hand away but wasn't able to.

" I apologise on behalf of my stupid otouto."

" E-eh? No no please I was the one who offered to clean. He didn't ask me." I said embarassed.

" What? Oh sorry I thought this spoiled brat did something again," The girl raised her head. She, like everyone else in the family, towered over my small frame.

" Wahh you're so cute and tiny. I'm Niko," she pinched my cheeks. I'm that tiny...I think.

" Nice to meet you Niko-san. I am Arai Yui," I bowed. Suddenly I was enveloped in a hug and my eyes widened.

" Yui-chan why don't you call me Nee-san? " she squealed. Murasakibara looked annoyed at his sisters antics.

" Um, b-but you don't know me that well,"

" Hmm then how about you stay for dinner. My family would be delighted if you joined us since you're the first girl Atsushi has brought home,"

I wanted to turn down her invitation because Murasakibara and I can barely be considered friends but looking at Niko-san's pleading eyes, I accepted.

Tbh I was double-minded writing this chapter and actually had no plan whatsoever. But I think I know which direction I want this to go...
