19 Weekend (I)

Today is an incredible day since I'm going to the seaside with Cleo and her family! I haven't encountered them and I feel queasy from meeting them.

"Are you ready for your trip?" Jungmin asks as he assists to bring my luggage downstairs. I give him a grin and nod.

"I'm worried about you. What if you'll saturate at the sea or abduct by the strange man?" I rattle his hair and lean over him to give him an embrace.

"Nothing's going to happen to me. If you want, I'll phone Cleo that I'll bring my twin brother around me. Sound's great?" I ask. His pouty lips switch to a mood lift up and nod. I called Cleo to ask if I could take Jungmin with me.

"Of course! The more the merrier. I'll pick you two up for an hour." She exclaims. I glance at Jungmin and nod as he runs upstairs to grab his luggage.

"Thank you, Cleo! See you later!" I exclaim before hanging up the phone. I sit on the couch, waiting for Jungmin. After a minute, he walks downstairs with his luggage and sits beside me. He smiles and leans his head on my left shoulder.

"Thank you Minsoo for bestowing me to explain." He says as he reaches my hand and holds it.

"Leave that argument in the past Jungmin. It's over now."

"I understand, but what about our parents? Are you willing to talk to them?" Heaving a heavy sigh.

"Would they accept me like before? I'm being a terrible person to them. Giving them headaches because of the uprising I'd involve."

"They would Minsoo. They are our parents after all." I nodded. After an hour, Cleo picks us at the house.

"Get inside! They are waiting for us especially you, Minsoo!" She exclaims. We get inside the car and she starts driving.

"Cleo thank you for inviting us! Oh, by the way, this is my brother Jungmin. Minnie, my friend, and Youngjae's sister, Cleo." I introduce it with a smile. She looks at the front mirror to glance at Jungmin and smile.

"Nice to meet you, Cleo. Thank you for inviting my sister to your beach party and accepting Minsoo's offer that I could come along with her." He says.

"It's fine. The more the merrier. Also, I perceive that you are worried if something happened to Minsoo so I thought that it's a good idea to bring you with her." She explains.

My eyes lead to Jungmin, who's now looking at me, and shrug it off. I'm happy seeing his excitement forming onto his face whilst wandering his eyes on the road.

'It's the first time seeing him so happy even if he will be around at Youngjae.' I mumbled to myself.

"It's great to see this beautiful place, many trees, flowers beside the road, and some bushes! I wish Jinwoo, bring me someday to the beach." He mumbles as I patted his shoulder.

"Don't lose hope Jungmin! He would bring you to the beach." I exclaim, forming a smile into my face.

"I wish. He is busy lately so we don't have time for each other." He whispers as his voice with a hint of gloom. I can't perceive their relationship but I know, Jungmin really likes him.

"We're here!" Cleo stops the car so we get out of the car. My eyes are amazed at the glamorous place. My gaze travels to Jungmin as his eyes filled with excitement.

"This place is so beautiful, Cleo!" I exclaim and she responds with a nod.

"We bought half of the beach to have a free vacation. Anyway, don't just stand there, and let's go!"  She mutters whilst giggling.

I clasp Jungmin's hand and follow Cleo to the big wooden house. When we reach inside, there are so many figurines at the walls and open cabinets. I'm so impressed with how they collect rare figurines and stands. We reach upstairs and wander to the last aisle of the hallway. She slams open the door and my mind is blown on how aesthetic this place. It designs with wooden walls and floors. There, I see the whole sliding door and a terrace that I can use for sightseeing.  It has two separate single beds for the two of us.

"If you are done packing, you two could come at the back of the house for the barbeque party." I nodded.

She takes her to leave and close the door for us. I place my luggage on the floor and rush to the bed. Jungmin, on the other hand, places the curtains on the side and opens the sliding door. The cold breeze walks inside the room as I take a deep breath to feel the cold breeze.

"This place is amazing Minsoo! I didn't regret coming with you for the whole weekend." He mutters.

"I know and I'm happy that you are with me so we could have fun! Let's go downstairs because I cannot wait for the barbeque!" I exclaim and push him out of the room and rush downstairs.

As we reach the backyard, my eyes gaze to a figure with gray hair and a somewhat middle-aged man grilling corn, meat, and some vegetables whilst a middle-aged woman placing some plates on the table. We rush to Youngjae and Cleo, who's smiling at us.

"You made it Minsoo and Jungmin!" Youngjae exclaim as he offers to shake hands to Jungmin. He smiles and accepts the offer.

"Thank you for having me here, Youngjae." He utters.

"Sit down, the food is almost ready!" A middle-aged woman announces.

"I almost forgot! Minsoo, Jungmin, there are my parents, George and Samantha. Mom, Dad, my Korean friend, Minsoo, and her twin brother, Jungmin."

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Miller and Mrs. Miller,"

"Such a polite child, just call me Sam." Mrs. Miller mutters with a smile on her lips.

I glance at Jungmin with a struck of awe in his eyes. We lived in Korea for so long so we're not getting used to calling their name if they're older than us. We called them, Ahjussi or Ajhumma.

"I—" Jungmin cut himself when he can't form a word of how shock he was.

"Mom, they aren't getting used by calling you by name. They're Koreans." Cleo mumbled.

"It's fine. Just call us aunt and uncle if it's uncomfortable to call us by our name." Mom's Cleo said. I smile and nod.

"Okay, the food is ready!" Uncle George utters with his happy tone. So we set our food and start eating.

I'm stunned when Cleo starts yelling Youngjae. "ARGH! YOUNGJAE, YOU DIDN'T BUY ANY DRINKS! DID I TELL YOU TO BUY!"

"Did I phoned you that I forgot to buy some drinks and I believe you bought since you picked Minsoo and Youngjae!" He yells back and crossed his arms as he rolls his eyes.

"Easy there, my children. Youngjae there's a convenience near here, you can buy there." Uncle George says, who's striving to calm himself and not scold them.

"Fine! You owe me one Cleo!" He exclaims. I look at Youngjae as he scratches his nape and when he notices me, his gaze lands on me for a while then looks away.

"Yes?" I asked. He clears his throat before taking a breath.

"Minsoo... w...would you c...come with me?"  He stutters. Jungmin looks at me and back at Youngjae before he whispers.

"He likes you." I smack his shoulder but he just laughs.

"Just telling the truth!" He exclaims. I shake my head and pull Youngjae closer to me.

"Let's go! And if we didn't get back, we'll be walking at dark." I exclaim and walk to the nearest convenience store. my eyes wander the place and my system feels at ease when seeing the beautiful scenery.

"Cleo's parents bought this place for us. They personalized this place. Putting some boxwood shrubs and most important is the flowers along with it." He explains.

We get inside the convenience store and reach for some drinks and chips since Cleo wants to watch movies.  As we get back, Youngjae stops me from walking by holding my arms.

"Minsoo, I want to tell you something." He said. I furrow my eyebrows in confusion.

"What is?" I ask.

He takes a deep breath and says, "I...I li—"

He cuts off when hearing my phone. I put out my phone and see my brother's name on the screen. I smile awkwardly before answering the call and put on the loudspeaker.

"Why?"

"Cleo didn't stop bothering me so I called you to ask if you are near now. Cleo wants a drink now so you two need to get back right now." He exclaims. I flinch when hearing Cleo yelling at the background.

"Is that Minsoo? Tell her to get back as fast as they can and I want some soft drinks!" I giggle when she keeps yelling.

"We're getting there Jungmin!" I end the call.

I look at Youngjae, who's crossing his arms while pouting. I ruffle his hair and push him back to the cottage. When we get back, Youngjae just hits Cleo's head.

"What is that for!" She yells. He just scoffs and gives the drinks to her before saunters inside the cottage.

"What happened to him?" Jungmin asked. I shrug and sit down.

When night falls, I wander on the seaside and sit on the sand. My head lifts up, watching the dark twilight with a full of stars and the pale of moonlight that gives the light the place.

"I wish Taehyung would see this with me," I mumble to myself.

"Minsoo? What are you doing there?" I turn around and see Jungmin, with a jacket on his hand. He put all over my shoulder and sits beside me.

"Stargazing. I wish Taehyung will be here with me," I say and lean my head to his shoulder as he wraps his arms around my waist.

"You really like him." He says with his eyes focus on the sky.

"Not really but what I want is to be with him makes me... special? more like... happy." I explain.

I hope you are with me Taehyung, stargazing together with the cold breeze of the wind as we listen to the soft song of the ocean that releases naturally.
