3 The Voice

My mind keeps thinking about the scenario yesterday, it's like we were on our own worlds when his lips touched mine fondly. Just me and Taehyung in the bourn.  My heart pounds like I'm catching my breath when the scene blunders inside my head. The kiss feels familiar. It is like a drug that I couldn't resist. Did it happen before? I thought to myself as pondered deeply.

"Is it?" I asked myself.

I sighed when thinking about the same dream. The man's blurry figure with his flutter blonde hair and deep ocean blue eyes. The man in my dreams is like an angel that falls into my arms and gives me warmth from the cold days.

My tears shatter through my cheeks every time I open my eyes when I feel the emptiness inside my heart. I couldn't find any reason since I don't recall my memories in the past.

However, that man assures me that I'll never be alone when I'm with him. I feel weird when relying upon him. Am I in love with that man? I thought to myself.

"Am I crazy?" I scoff as my fingers brush through my hair.

My body switches position and watches the curtain swaying with the winds.

"Maybe I am crazy," I murmur.

The confusion inside my head escalates since I moved to Oregon. It started when the students were looking at me weirdly and they kept murmuring when they saw me crossing the hallway. I can't infer if my parents are very wealthy or they have the prosperity and power to be known by the citizens in Oregon.

I agree to live with them to have a chance to seek an answer but how? Heaving a deep, heavy sigh, and walks to the window to sit on my couch. I slide the window open and lean my head on the edge of the window while watching the backyard.

This place has its perfections and imperfections like my own storyline. My life is like a mystery box that has a password. If you don't know the password, you need to seek a clue or ask the person who perceives the password.

"I hope someone answers all my questions. I'm dying to know." I mumble to myself. After a minute, my stomach starts to howl as if telling me that I need to eat.

I giggle while stroking my stomach.

"I better get down and have some breakfast and forget my stress, " I say before standing up from the couch and strolling to the kitchen

My eyes wrinkle when seeing Jungmin flirting with Jinwoo on the couch but ignoring them and trying not to crouch when seeing them nuzzle with each other. Instead, I walk without looking at them. Jungmin smiles widely when seeing my figures and says,

"Good morning, MinMin!" I give him a quick smile as I ready my cereals.

I roll my eyes as I stomp my feet before clasping my spoon, picking it up and bringing it to my mouth, meeting the delicious flavor, and filling up my palate.

"Are you okay?" Jungmin asks.

"I'm totally fine, don't worry about it," I inform, feeding myself a cereal.

"Taehyung pulled you out of the cafeteria and went somewhere. Where did you two go?" He implores as he stands up on the couch to get some snacks from the cabinet.

"Nothing happened. He was being a polite man touring around the place and took me to the river while having a small talk." I say with an indistinct tone.

"Did he confide something?" He sits in front of me as he asks me. I shake my head as an answer.

"But Minnie, I'm baffled when they were watching me while murmuring. Do they know our parents?" He chuckles, leaning his head to his palm and his elbow touches the table.

"Expect them to be triggered when they see unfamiliar faces on the campus."

"That is what Taehyung said but I presume that they know me. I heard the group of friends stated that 'is she the one?' What is that mean? Did they refer to me?" I place down my spoon as my arms cross with each other.

"Don't stress yourself, MinMin. It's not about you, okay? Maybe they were talking about the typical topics that girls want to talk about. Just do your best to have friends." He winks.

"I don't need many friends when I have you and Jinwoo's friends so why bother making them." He shakes his head, getting up on the chair and walking to the living room.

My eyes wide when Jungmin nuzzles around Jinwoo. I use my hand to cover my eyes when he kisses my brother.

"Minnie! Please get a room! I'm right here in front of you! You see our house is not a mansion! Please, I don't want to see you making out with Jinwoo." I exclaim as my eyes roll when I see him pout.

"You see, I miss Jinwoonie. And besides, he's my soulmate, remember?"

"When did you two become soulmates? I didn't realize that!" I exclaim.

"Since now?" He mutters.

"I can't believe you, Minnie." I sigh, shaking my head and walking out of the living room.

The voice stops me from walking back to my room. 'I'm sorry about yesterday. I can't control my feelings, my mate.' My feet run themselves, trying to search the voice yet, found nothing. I wander downstairs, seeing them in the living room.

"Jinwoo, have you seen Taehyung?" He blinks at me, hesitates to reply. 'Is it odd to ask where Taehyung was?' I say to myself, ambiguously.

"I know he's in his parent's house to celebrate their mother's birthday. Why?" He asks.

"Nothing. I think I'm assuming things again." I state, my eyes wander outside.

"Are you okay? You seem not okay." Jungmin implores. My lips form a smile and respond with a quick nod.

"I'm fine." He stares at me and strode back to my room.

I throw my body to the bed, glancing at the window, and release a heavy, deep sigh. That voice seems familiar but my mind can't perceive who's the owner of the voice. What is happening to me and why do I look for him? I ask myself.

I stand up and walk to the window to view the place and there, a man's figure staring upstairs straight to my window. "Who was that?" I narrow my eyes to see clearly and it's Taehyung, his ocean-deep blue gazes to my location. My eyes blink to discern if it's my imagination but he's there, stands underneath the tree. I jump out of the couch to run downstairs.

Suddenly, Jungmin calls me when he sees me running outside, striving to catch Taehyung. Sadly, it's too late. I can't find him, even his shadow, It disappears. I startle when a hand touches my shoulder and look behind me to see who it was. It's Jungmin and Jinwoo, their eyes with a hint of worries.

"I saw Taehyung standing in front of our house staring at my window," I speak while looking at them.

"I don't see Taehyung."

"Bu—" he cuts me off.

"You seem not okay. Have a rest okay?" My mouth releases a sigh and responds with a nod before walking back inside. My feet lead me to my room, laying down on my bed and looking at the ceiling thinking about Taehyung.

His strange actions. And my feelings about him.

"What is wrong with me? I don't have feelings for him." My hands bury my face, striving to remove all my distracting thoughts.

"I just want an answer. I'm exhausted from seeking an answer." I whisper before closing my eyes and drifting to sleep.
