43 The Moon and Star Necklace

Later that night, we go back to the shop to pick Jungmin since his shift ends at ten in the evening. Likewise, we step inside the shop as he sits on the chair whilst waiting for Jungmin yet I peeve so I stand up and wander inside the kitchen.  

But then, Jungmin is no longer in the kitchen so I perceive that he's inside the pantry. I stroll inside to search for my brother and he's at the locker, shirtless. I smirk while gazing at him and so, my hand slams into the locker to make him wail. 

"MinMin!" He whimpers as he hits my shoulder. I just laugh at him.

"You should change your clothes fast so we can get back to our apartment and I have class in the morning," I instruct.

"Okay, I have too so don't think you're not the only one who has class." He glares at me when he sees me, taunting him. 

"You're not funny at all!"

"I know. I'm just bored and wanted to go home." I mutter while sitting on the chair. 

He grabs his bag out of the locker, he crouches beside me, and says, "I heard that Chloe wanted to meet you. What happened?" I sigh.

"She wanted me to forgive Youngjae since it was not anyone's fault. I don't know if I believe that excuse of hers or not. How can you tell if she was confiding the truth if she didn't substantiate the incident."

"You confronted Youngjae after the incident right?" 

"Yes, and he asked me if I remembered the incidents so it took me a minute to realize that it's not a coincidence. He knew that would happen and now she wanted me to forgive him. It will never be going to happen. I let myself fall into the hole once but never again." I mumble while stomping my feet on the floor. 

"Just don't trust that man, okay?" I smile at him and nod.

"You need to put your clothes back on. It was not alluring to see your body." I giggle when seeing him glaring at me and before he could smack my head, I step out of the pantry.

Abruptly, I catch Chrysler glimpsing outside the shop. Taehyung and I glance with each other before walking to Chrysler. I tap his shoulder that makes him astonish. 

I chuckle.

"What's wrong?" He turns over to face me and shakes his head as an answer. He goes back to the kitchen as if nothing happened. I glance outside and see an unfamiliar man standing in front of the shop. Shortly, I back away and sit beside Taehyung. 

"There's a man outside," I murmur to Taehyung while pointing out the man. Then he takes a glance at it and his eyes wide as his hand shaken. I tap his shoulder to get his attention yet it doesn't work. He stands up and goes outside so I follow him behind. 

Now, he's in front of a man. And so, I stand behind him as I strive to discern the appearance of the man but I couldn't. It's very grimy and far from my location yet I just stand up whilst listening to their conversation. 

"Cyprus, why are you here?" Taehyung asks. He sighs as he crosses his arms while glaring at Taehyung. 

"I'm here to ask you a favor and to warn you." He nods.

"She kept herself in danger when she invited them into her life and if she kept trusting them, she'll fall into a hole." 

"She's very persistent. I don't know what to do to make her away from them." He mumbled. 

"Who were they talking about?" I whisper.

"If she's persistent and keeps inviting them to her life then just keep an eye on her especially to them and if you didn't do your job. You know your consequences." He responds with a nod. 

"I should go closer to them," I murmur and wander towards their direction.

Promptly, I stand beside him and when he notices my presence, he takes a glance at me and back at my hand as he holds my hand, smiling at me. My head tilts on the side when I don't know what is happening. I stare at the man, who's a very tall and handsome man with his eyes shimmer like a green forest and his hair is long and golden brown. It is almost like an angel and one thing I notice is, he kind of looks like the woman from the picture that Danielle showed me.

His eyes travel in my direction and then he smiles at me as he saunters closer to me just to hold my hands and says, "So it was her." 

I look at Taehyung, who's very anxious. 

"Yes, it was her," Taehyung informs as he moves at my back. 

"Do you know me?" I whisper as I look at his glimmering eyes while he smiles. 

His smile feels easing which soothes my heart. Like a typical angel. 

"I know you very well." I frown with confusion when he knows everything about me since I don't know anything about myself.

"H-how?" I stutter.

"You will know but for now, you should be careful about your surroundings, okay?" I frown.

"What was going on?" Jungmin implores as I take a glance at Jungmin, who's appeared from nowhere. His eyes widen when his eyes land at the man which is really incoherent at this point. 

"C-Cyprus, what are you doing here?" Jungmin asks as he stands beside him and holds his hand.

"I'm very worried about you and to your sister, so I'm here to give you something that could make your sister safe." He unwraps his hand around mine as he places it inside the pocket. He put out the necklaces that have a lavender gloss moon chain and a yellow gloss star  

"This is for you." He bestows the moon necklace to me.

"This moon represents the soul coming from inside you that could give the blaze from the darkness. And Jungmin, this is for you." He utters as he bestows the star necklace to Jungmin. 

"This star represents the guidance to your sister, so wherever Minsoo goes, you'll guide her and take her away from the 'bad energy'." He announces as he ruffles my hair and Jungmin. He backs away and glances at Taehyung, who's standing behind us.

"Let's meet again, Araqiel," Cyprus mumbles as he walks out and leaves us outside.

Then, I stare at the necklace as my palm grasps around it.
